    Family Voyage

When I tell you this crew goes above and beyond I truly mean it! They made my birthday girl (7) feel so special on her special day! Such a fun experience! We will definitely return and highly recommend for anyone with young kids! Amazing Crew!!

We did the 8:30 tour with a big group of friends and it was so fun! The staff were so funny and friendly, and they handled a bunch of drunk adults so well. The website says cash tip, but they have Venmo and Cashapp options! The tour is about an hour and it sails around the Inner Harbor. There is loud music, lots of dancing and shouting, and plenty of pirate talk and booze. This was such a fun, unique way to explore Baltimore in a new way.

This was so much fun! The crew teaches the kids pirate talk, pirate dances, and helps them fend off an "evil" pirate in the harbor with water cannons. The wee pirates of course earn loot, and get pirate names as well as tattoos. The cruise itself is about an hour. My kid loved it!

I bought a ticket for a Saturday and hours later I tested positive for COVID. I asked for a refund because I was going for a birthday party, instead of a refund they are giving a "rain check." Who wants a rain check? No one! It's more than 72 hours in advance of our time to go on the boat and a refund should be given. Poor management. I'm glad I'm not going and the group I was going yo go with is now making other plans.

COVID: Its an out door pirate boat, there was no social distancing or masks required. We went to the "Bring Your Own Grog" cruise. Overall it lasts about an hour and a half including boarding time, so about an hour off the docks. The crew is friendly and has a lot of fun with the customers, joking around, playing drinking games like pass the coconuts and the limbo. Be ready for what it is, a drinking pirate cruise, no point in going if you're not ready to deal with loud foul mouthed pirates and wenches! Don't forget to tip the crew for a job well done!

Fun evening at the harbor and Fells Point. BYOB on the boat with great pirates leading the ship. We had a group of 20 for the voyage. Plenty of good beer and shots of rum. Beautiful night and we were able to watch the sunset.

This was such a chaotic, dumb, and most importantly FUN time! I came here for the BYOG 10pm cruise, and it was so SO fun! The premise is that you can bring all of your own drinks on board and have fun with your friends while the pirate ship just circles around inside of the harbor. You need tickets for this, and they sell out quite a few days in advance, so plan ahead! This was a really nice change up from the typical bar-outing, and it is right at Fells in an easy-to-find spot (you can't miss the huge pirate ship in the harbor). Check-in is quite easy, and they give you a wrist band to verify check-in. I believe that you are not allowed to bring any open drink bottles on board, so just wait until you're on the boat to open anything that you might be worried about having to dump out! There was a chance of rain when I went, but it mainly held off and only drizzled a bit while we were on board, so be attentive of the weather! One of the staff (Snot Rocket) was giving people name tags with super funny nicknames, and she even takes nickname requests! We played a few games on board, but they weren't that involved or lengthy, so if you're not feeling like playing games with the other people on the boat, don't worry. Birthday folks got a free shot (of rum, I believe). They have a bathroom on the ship in case you need to use it.

This was an awesome find. The crew was so great we the kids. We ALL got pirate names and the entire experience was entirely unique and charming. Blackheart gets a special shout out for being extra awesome.

This was loads of fun . Parking to get to the ship is horrible but well worth the great time . I did the byog adult cruise and will probably do it again tooxmms

Spent the day in fells point with the family ans embarked on a pirate adventure with the Urban Pirates. We had a great time ! The crew was very interactive and full of character. I'd recommend, if your looking for some family fun.

I booked the 11:00 AM Family Adventure cruise with the Groupon deal ($61.50 for 4 people). There's not much to do in Baltimore so it seemed like it would be fun. We went there early to find parking since it's a bit difficult in the waterfront area. We parked in the residential area so it was free. The weather was great which I was worried about since they said rain or shine. The pirate guides were very nice and played a lot of games with the kids (and adults too). They give you name tags and temporary tattoos before you set sail. The water cannons and the pirate sailing by were a lot of fun. Overall, the whole cruise was entertaining and it was nice to sail around Inner Harbor on a sunny day. Maybe I would check out their adult cruise at night if I'm ever in the Baltimore area again.

    Arrrrgh!

Cute if you have kids, or you are visiting the area. It is pirate ship that tours the harbor, and they have "real" pirates on the ship, and all the fun things that come with pirates. AAArrrghhh! There is also a gift shop, that sells what you need as a pirate. Swords, eye patches, pirate hats......and a lot of little kids smiles....that made our day!

So this place should be on everybody's bucket list! It was awesome. A pirate cruise around the harbor... To see the beautiful lights and downtown is all a city girl could ask for. Shots of captain Morgan all night. Oh and the games we play.... The two hosts were amazing. You start off with getting a cool pirate name and a tattoo. By the way two weeks later my tattoo is still there. There are a few challenges... If you want to go with a group of people EVERYBODY has to get their ticket early. They fill up fast! It's so hard to coordinate with everyone. I had a credit from last year because my cruise was cancelled because if inclement weather and I had the HARDEST time re-scheduling because they give you a voucher that you can not Redeem online. You have to call, leave a message on the answering service and Pray that they get your message in time before they are booked. Once your book you are guaranteed an awesome time.

This isn't the type of adventure you can show up to on a whim. You have to schedule a visit in advance. I scheduled a date and time over the phone. They took my credit card info, a contact number and my kids' names. The first date I scheduled was cancelled due to inclement weather. Pirate Adventures called and cancelled the adventure about three hours prior to when it was supposed to start. I elected to reschedule right then. I was instructed to arrive a half hour before our adventure so the kids could get their faces painted and pick out a sash. We parked on the street a few blocks away not realizing they have a parking lot. We checked in, the kids were given name tags with their name and an alliterative adjective (ie Zig Zag Zora and Kung Fu Kieran) and then reported to the face painting and sash picking area. After face painting kids and adults boarded the boat and the Chesapeake part of the adventure began. The captain went over a few safety measures with the adults while his assistant went through guidelines with the kids. The adventure has a whole story with different parts involved that kept the seven kids on our adventure entertained. Ages ranged from probably three to fourteen. These parts included a map search, treasure hunt, key finding expedition, pirate fight and a final pirate bounty quest. For the adults, we just hung out under a shaded portion of the boat. I got up to interact with my kids a few times and to snap some pictures. Mostly I just enjoyed the boat ride. The whole adventure lasted almost two hours (counting face painting). If you have kids that love to pretend and don't mind riding a boat, Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake might be right up their alley.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. The locations is always clean and well maintained. There are 3 total floors with activities ranging from water play, to puzzles, to physical activities. My kids favorite attraction is of course the but slide. We do this no less than 5 times every time we visit. There are rotating attractions in addition to their standard ones (grocery store, gas station, a restaurant, water play, and more) and annual holiday themed activities. Our favorite by far was the Halloween parade and dance party. Each visit would include several interactive activities as well, giving you a variety of things to do, which is helpful if your kids get tired of routines. We easily spent 2 1/2hrs here on any given visit and I've never had a bad experience. A membership pays for itself in 2 visits and my kids always enjoy their time here. I decided to get passes to the science museum this year because I thought my kids may have aged out (7&8) but they still talk about how much they loved Port Discovery. Like any place that caters to children you have the expectation of unruly kids and germs. Be kind to the workers, bring your patience and some antibacterial wipes and you'll be fine. If you have children aged 5-8 I would say this place is ideal for them.

Dear reader, The…read moreNational Aquarium in Baltimore is absolutely worth a visit and then, quite possibly, another. The exhibits are not merely tanks in a building. They feel theatrical, transportive, and wonderfully well curated. The shark areas were especially striking, with a dark, slightly eerie atmosphere that made the whole thing feel more dramatic in the best way. The jellyfish were another standout, with so many different varieties drifting about like tiny, glowing aristocrats of the sea. The birds and sloths in the rain forest added that extra bit of surprise and charm, making the whole visit feel even richer. The Aquarium's Upland Tropical Rain Forest does in fact feature sloths and tropical birds, while Blacktip Reef and Shark Alley anchor the shark experience. What stayed with me most, was learning about Kai, a green sea turtle. She has buoyancy issues from a prior boat-strike injury, cannot dive properly, and would not survive in the wild, so the Aquarium provides long-term care. That was genuinely touching. It added real heart to an already excellent visit.
