Keith Urban has done well for himself. Who knew that he'd have his own clothing store. Designed and based on Travolta's Urban Cowboy get up (literally, get up, this floor is dirty, dude), this is a top notch store with high end prices. Urban Outfitters is a very cool store and always has been and sells a lot of street clothes and hip clothes and trendy clothes at decent, mid, higher than mid, or flat out high prices - depending on how you look at it - to the cool kids basically. And to their parents lol. It's a young people store and you will find that for yourself when you browse around like we did. Not always the friendliest but good product selection at this location and usually pretty busy. read more

This is usually my go to store for quirky gifts. They have cute stuff at Christmas. I bought a small completely red tree with mini balls (giggle) that is just too cute in my apartment. Got some white elephant gifts including a Santa coozie and a pooping reindeer. In the past I've bought silly board games, books, glassware, cards. They also have some cool home accessories like wall art and pillows. It's not all silly. I haven't looked at the clothes in a really long time as most of it never fits my chunky figure, but I do see cute stuff. This place is definitely worth checking out if you are having problems coming up with gift ideas. Bonus thing I thought was nice is they will email you the receipt after you check out. We waited in line with 2 other people for 30 minutes while two people were trying to help a customer at the register. The other register was open and they had 4-5 employees in the store who could've helped us check out at the other register. This has always been my favorite Urban Outfitters no matter how many new stores keep opening all over the place. I have fond memories of decorating my first apartment in college with knick-knackery and eclectic tchotchkes from that specific portion of this store. I have fond memories of buying a few books from the book portion of this store to take centre-stage on the coffee table as the essential coffeetablebook-like substitute. I just don't get the clothes - me and my Armani tie avoided that portion of the store entirely yesterday. Employees over the years have always been good and friendly. Helpful if help is required, otherwise they generally let you go about your business. Plus its a short ten foot walk to Trinity Hall and Margarita Ranch. Which is useful in case you get a little thirsty from all that shopping. I know I did. read more

When I was younger I thought this store was the epitome of cool. My how I've aged. I always find myself wandering in here and browsing. First off, what is with their sizing? I know I'm a big guy to begin with but come on! XL is as big as you get? What?!?! The XL fits like a normal Medium size shirt? What the hell!?! This shirt fits me like a condom! No...No I'm not competing in the tour de france...get me some clothes that fit. I will give credit when credit is due, their housewares and such are kind of cool and usually reasonably price. The cups and plates etc. are pretty cool looking. I personally like the anodized tumblers. They're easy to clean and pretty much indistructable (a plus when heavy drinking is involved). The service is god awful, they are too busy looking cool and trendy to check you out. Priorities Chris! Priorities. My friend once walked out the door with all of her things because she waited for 10 minutes to have someone come to the checkout counter. Oh and I forgot to mention, the owner of Urban Outfitters is a huge republican and a big doner to the GOP in election years. Yeah, that's way hip, cool, and youthful. Oh Urban Outfitters, how I love thee, how I hate thee. I'll be fair and say what they do well, they do really well. So let's take a look at a fun and easy pro & con list, hmmm? Pros: As others have said (and nearly everyone knows) their books, nick knacks and other random fun 'junk' are decently priced and awesome. Stocking stuffers galore. CLEARANCE SECTION!!! The stuff dreams are made of. It's pretty dang huge. A lot of the stuff is off-season, but not always. And let's be real - we live in Texas people. We don't have normal seasons. You'll be alright. Sure you have to dig a bit sometimes but I've found some great deals on stuff. Because come on...(to be continued below) Cons: ...95% of the stuff in that store is way overpriced. Is it cute? Yep. Am I EVER going to pay $38 for a t-shirt? No. Hell no. Seriously? Imma smack you real quick. Stop it. For some reason, hardly anything there fits me. Now I'm not a 'big' girl, but I'm also not a toothpick. Finding a pair of jeans that doesn't make my ass flat is impossible. As in, it does not exist. No really, I've tried them all. What you got against a little booty Urban Outfitters? For shame. But, because I've scored more than a few cute, reasonably priced things there at the beloved clearance section (including a few pairs of AWESOME shoes for less than $20), they are A-OK in my book. read more

I am a big fan of this Urban Outfitters. Of course I love all Urban Outfitters because the clothes are super-cute and affordable, but this one is even better because it is huge and in a great location. The Northpark Center location is pretty-good too, but at Mockingbird Station parking is usually easy and I don't have to walk through the mall just to get to one store. A lot of times when I go shopping, Urban is the only store I want to visit. At this location, I'm in, I'm out, I'm finished. That's it. Another bonus is the apartment section at this location. It is one of the largest I have seen, but you have to watch the prices there. My advice is to wait until something is on sale from their home furnishings. read more

I enjoy this location sometimes. Always has some good stuff, the prices are lil crazy sometimes. But I have found some good deals. I like their little side stuff and trinkets. I love the music and set up. Some of the employees aren't the most friendly in the world, a couple actually make you feel unwanted in the store. . . But I do have a favorite employee, she's always nice. & they do always welcome you at the entrance but they're not all up in your a** . . But still at the same time, they're not really that approachable so a shy meek individual would be scared to ask them for help, because they're more focused on looking trendy and not being bothered by you and your questions, but I suppose that's the whole Urban Outfitters thing I guess. They are rocking some really great sales for both men and women as well as some casual home goods. Additionally the service was really good and assisting my cousin with her selections. The store is exceptionally well organized and inviting the matter where you look from the clearance to the men's women's etc. The music is at a level that's actually comfortable and enjoyable adding to the ambience instead of the tracting by being so loud as to chase people out. Additionally with this location's easy to use parking and easy access really does make this a good overall destination shopping environment. read more

So a store that has as much junk as it has clothes! I'm a lover of all things that my Mom would well consider crap, like a bathroom sign in book, yeah you can get one of those there, along with a purse and some cute undies. I work across the way from this particular store and find myself wondering over sometimes to check out the sales or just look at all the fabulous knick knacks. The employees aren't overly nice, nor are they surly. They just do their job and if you need something they will help. I like it, it can be a fun waste of time if you need it, and trust me you'll find some $5 item that you can't live without because it's cute, or has puppies on it, or has your favorite childhood cartoon character on it. read more

UO is where I can get my wacky knick-knack fix. Best books for coffee tables, hands down! Funky pillows and stuff to hang on your wall like paper mache deer antlers, or cut tin letters to sit on your shelf. They have some cool curtains - run about the same prices as World Market or Pier One. A small selection of rugs - the rag rugs are always fun. Urban Outfitters is one of my favorite places to shop, and this is the best one in the DFW area. This location doesn't get as many customers as the one in Northpark. Therefore, you're more likely to find what you're looking for. In general, there tends to be a bigger selection at this store than at other locations. Yeah. Urban Outfitters can be pretty pricey - I would say overpriced on most things. But I often find great deals on their clearance items, and they have a preeeettyyy big clearance section. read more

The pros: my daughter will actually wear the pants that she gets from this store. They have a lot of gag gifts. The cons: Firstly, most merchandise is overpriced and poorly constructed. My daughter found a pair of skinny jeans - $98! Got them home, washed them once and the side seam came unstitched. She got some earrings - $15 - the backing fell off when she took them off the cardboard holder they came on. Secondly, do not ask if there is a restroom you can use. You will be directed to the Starbucks down the sidewalk like some kind of homeless bum, not the money-spending customer you aspire to be. I mentioned this to the manager and his response was that they can't let customers use the restroom in the store because the restroom is in the back where merchandise and cash are kept. My daughter is free to spend her money there, but as for me, I can think of many other places where I will be spending mine. read more

This place is not organized. Their sale stuff is randomly placed EVERYwhere and the clothing is not categorized very well either. Why 3 stars even after the negativity? Because I love Urban Outfitters haha. They don't have public restrooms and yet expect you to be able to see all of their stuff without a potty break??? Don't get me wrong, I still love Urban! I've really only been here maybe once or twice before, But after each bad experience I've decided "NO MORE!" The clothes are simple and the prices are always outrageously high The "sale" racks aren't your typical; they make me gasp then sigh. Who wants to pay twice as much for the same exact junk?! That Northpark has, you can get there in a hop, skip and a jump. But this last time I went there particularly annoyed me, I was there to buy shoes and some pants, no biggie. I asked for some help with a size (I wear a size ten) And was distraught when I was ignored again and again. I asked the cashier and the dressing room attendant And each one blurted out "give me a minute" The store was quite empty and no one was busy, It's not like the employees were running around till they were dizzy After three times of asking and waiting a while, I was approached by a guy (we will call him "Kyle") He asked what size? What shoe? And left very quickly But kept me waiting long enough to make anyone sickly. After what seems like hours and after almost losing my head He returned empty handed and this is what he said... "We're out" Can we try that again, except with a lot less attitude I'm not the one responsible for everyone's bad mood. Well thanks for keeping me waiting for what seemed like an eternity I will definitely not be back. You won't be hearing anymore from me. read more

I am not one to dote on a national store notoriously known for their jacked-up prices for not so quality clothes, but gosh-darnit, I am a sucker for fun prints and flare. You must admit, they do a fantastic job of luring the foot traffic in with their superbly-curated window display and floor design. Their store designers have such a knack for being ahead of the curve when it comes to urban art design, fashion, music, and just overall lifestyle of 'the kids these days' This initiative truly makes you want to be young again. I know I am not receiving medicare yet, but I am talking teenage young. Admittedly, still shopping like a teeny-bopper, I enjoy avoiding the hustle and bustle of the mall, and shop at the Mockingbird Station location. It's always cleaner, less spastic, and not as disheveled as the North Park spot. More importantly, I was greeted by every one of the staff that were vigorously working to keep the store in prime, perusing condition. The young man at the check-out was no lovely and kept apologizing for taking too long. I didn't event notice, but his concern did not go unnoticed. It's funny, you don't notice when a store has sub-par customer service until you are reminded of effective good customer service can really be. read more

I was looking for a gift that wasn't going to be expected and found just what I was looking for and then some more. I was also impresses that they still had Christmas gift boxes available and their back is a cute reusable bag, how green! I'd vote going to this UO compared to the unorganized/cramped version at North Park. This location is definitely more spacious and has more of everything to choose from. Plus, if you don't find anything here, you can just spend half of your day perusing the other shops in the area or getting a bite to eat. This UO allows me to actually spend time looking at the knick-knacks, books, and vinyl records they carry, which can be quite extensive. I always applaud UO for their surplus supply of awkward books (except Boo the dog), gifts, and mustaches! Their clearance section is pretty extensive, and you don't have to worry so much about finding your sizes as much as you do at the North Park location. Parking on the main lot can be a pain sometimes during peak hours, but they do have plenty of garage parking. read more

I love going to Urban Outfitters if for nothing more than browsing through all the smartass book selections they have. I managed to buy two books for a Christmas present (I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell and Stuff White People Like) and talked myself out of buying a lot more. They also have a lot of clothes for the ladies and the guys. None of it is really my style but I do dig the fun T shirts. They also have a small selection of housewares and picture frames. Note: they also have album and T shirt frames for your old skool displays. And the novelty gifts are too hilarious - I agree with Sheri...the Dick in a Box costume was HILARIOUS! read more

This location is 123456789x better than the Northpark location in size, organization, cleaniness and sale items. This is what I scored last weekend: 1 book on global awareness for get this $1.90, 3 books for $4.90 each (2 were classic children books and 1 was a chocolate recipe book that I just wanted to eat up) and a pair of skinny BDG jeans for $9.99! I love the randomness Urban Outiftters provides but sometimes it's just too expensive for a gag gift so I always head to their sale rack first especially at this location and stock up! read more

okay, so i used to not love urban mainly because i'm incredibly cheap and no, i don't see the point in buying tee shirts for more than ten dollars. that, however, was before i discovered the beauty of their sales section. and believe me, friends: once you go there, you can never go back. jeans that people actually complimented me on: $7.99 tee shirts that quickly became my faves, comfort-wise and look-wise: $4.99 walking away knowing you got a bargain: priceless. some of their stuff is a little out there, and their clearance does call for some pretty aerobic digging in order to weed out the diamonds in the rough--but it's so worth it. they have supplied me with nearly a little bit of everything, from socks to jeans to dresses to tee shirts to fancy schmancy blouses. if you're sportier, check out their mens sales section--i've gotten great (and so soft!) tees and sweats over there. if you're more frilly, they have something for you. more basic, you can still probably find something. more vintage, or more 80's, or more glitter, or more cutesy--they've got a wide range of it all. i'm not proud of being just like everyone else, but yes, i too love urban outfitters. read more

My friend told the sales associate SEVERAL times that she went off because of her dart pass.. she claimed it was impossible.. she's had passes before.. after embarrassing her and making her empty out everything she had.. THEN did she realize it was the DART passes.. why wouldn't you check first! She gave a bulls**t ass apology and walked off.. my friend was checked for stealing longer than we was searching in the store.. I just don't understand! read more

I came here with high hopes. I like the clothes and saw plenty of men's grooming products online. I figure with that kind of inventory they must have plenty in store to browse. Nope. That would be a no. No grooming for men, especially not for beards. Ok, so next question - shoes. I wear a 14. Nope. A few go to 13 but that's it. Pants? No. Average to skinny only, certainly no one big and/or tall. As a consolation I found a shirt I liked. And sure enough, it was only available in a Large or smaller. Guess who wears XL? On the way out (empty handed), I asked if they at least had a restroom. But nuh-uh. No public restrooms either. Try the Starbucks next door. I feel like a Democratic president with a Republican congress. No matter what I ask here, the answer is no. Basically, unless you're perfectly average in every way, then Urban Outfitters's message to you is F*** YOU! Take your money elsewhere, we don't want your kind in here. And so it shall be. I haven't been to this Urban Outfitters in a couple years, but I could always count on its clearance section for interesting clothes/accessories I'd wear over and over. A couple of things I've bought here: 99cent sunglasses that I LOVED but lost. Terry cloth flip flops for under $10. Cute T-shirts for under $10. The location is also great. Movie theater, Virgin Megastore, Gelato Paradiso, and DART station near by. When I took the DART every day a couple summers ago, I'd often stop at Mockingbird to shop here and get some gelato with some friends. Always fun. read more

Clothes are just ok for my taste, but cute jewelry and tons of great books. They also have records and players, which is hard to find at a good price. Come on folks. When I went here in the middle the day with no one else in the store, the sales people were so sluggish and almost useless. I don't know whether they're just trying to be cool or whether they're just the lazy crew. I went in for a belt and the salesperson had a hard time explaining which one I should choose. The person of the dressing room was also very lassez faire on providing guidance about the style. Their selection of belts was not that great. And it was very "meh" overall. Improvement point: Listen to the customer and make a recommendation that you can defend with fashion principles. read more

Thank you for teaching my child the word F*ck!!! Not what you expect during a Sunday afternoon stroll. There were 4-5 pieces of merchandise between the front door and the register with the word F*ck or F*ckers on it. Unbelievable!! Big, bold and bling bling!! Try explaining to an eight year old what that word means and then convince her that it's a bad word even thought it can be found throughout the store. The cashier thought it was pretty funny when brought to her attention. The manager seems pretty nice and said that he receives complaints often but can't do anything about it. Customer service at the head office didn't have a solution either. Don't make the mistake I made by bringing your child in there. They don't belong in a shopping center with a movie theatre and ice cream shop. Bizarre!! read more

Cool store located in mockingbird station! They have a massive selection of clothes and often have great sales! They also have a great vibe here! Music is playing, staff is smiling! I do like Urban Outfitters and they definitely have the latest trend clothes. Their items do however remind me of high price second hand clothes, but I suppose that's the idea of the Hobo look. So with that said they pull it off completely well. The one problem I have with Urban Outfitters though, is the people working there. I like the idea of people not running over to me as soon as I walk into a store, but at the same time I like to know who works there so if I do need some help, I know who to ask. I typically like walking into Urban Outfitters to see what cute little gift ideas I might find. They've become really hipster, so I feel old whenever I go in, but that's ok...haha.
