Stay far far away from this place!
They make absolutely no effort to stick to your budget or timeline, and if they can't meet their own promises to you as the client they'll find a way to make you pay for it.
There is absolutely no transparency, and trying to get a straight answer out of the owner, Pete Wright, is like trying to wring blood out of a stone. He sold us on his business experience and that he'd be available to collaborate with us on an "executive marketing level", and then not only rarely showed up to his own presentations, but when he was there, it was obvious that this was the first time he'd even looked at the designs. I've had to repeatedly email him the same information on more than one occasion - he either "never got it" (I heard that excuse A LOT) or he couldn't find it and needed me to resend (I heard that one a lot too). One time I called the project manager to try and resolve a few issues and heard him SCREAMING AT AN EMPLOYEE in the background.
I have to say that our end products (full branding and website) were pretty darn good, but I think that says more about the designers and developers who delivered a great product in spite of Pete Wright.
Even though my company's contract with UI has been over for several months (thank God), and I have moved on from that company, I still find Urban Influence and its owner Pete Wright so untrustworthy that I feel compelled to write this anonymously.
Bottom line: Our project was months late, thousands of dollars over budget, and working with Pete was an absolute nightmare! Buyer beware!!!
*And, if against all better judgement, you DO decide to go with Urban Influence, don't hold your breath hoping to be charged the low end of their estimate. And make sure to read the contract. There is a 15% overage clause in there that means you might be hoping that your total will be close to the low estimate, but you'll actually be paying 115% of your high estimate. read more
