Many web designers have a knowledge only of the creative side of web design, but not the…read moretechnical/marketing side of things. With the drag and drop page builders available today, web designers are quickly becoming really uneducated on the technical side of things. This knowledge separates the good from the great because designers without knowledge in programming/marketing leave gaping holes in the functionality of a website. Which will affect your ability to get results in the long run. I do SEO for a living and have worked with Pia on multiple projects. Her team is actively learning about speed, security, and SEO concepts that should be considered while building a website. The prettiest website in the world isn't going to grow their traffic if it is missing a SSL certificate, if it is slower than 3 seconds, and if Yoast SEO hasn't been installed and optimized for all your major pages. These are all basics that should never be neglected. Sadly the majority of websites (about 75-85% of websites) that I end up working on suffer from at least 1 of these 3 major issues. These are things that your web designer at a minimum should make you aware of and have people to refer your too if it falls outside their service offerings. Otherwise you are getting handed a pretty product that won't perform the way it should. A web designer must be able to work with different media types to add sound, sliders or video to web pages. Pia is constantly brushing up on new design trends (which I don't really care about as a analytical professional, but I know clients do and it can help with getting conversions). An extra skill set that great designers have is content writing, making them able to design the whole page from scratch, and not just pieces of it. Pia has a team of writers, project managers, and more to help with the extra tasks that should be considered and managed. And best of all, she practices what she preaches, fingerprintmarketing.com is ranked #1 on average for web maintenance/website maintenance related keywords. All these things should be common sense for web designers, I was once a web designer and overtime I specialized in SEO because I got tired of clients with beautiful websites that weren't getting traffic. If you hire a web designer and they make no effort to teach you about marketing and SEO, you should reconsider hiring Pia instead. You will get a much better ROI on your investment and get more eyeballs on your new beautiful website/brand.

I am writing this review to give insight into the man behind the business of Buzz Boom. Mine is an…read moreunusual story, (and a little long) but it is one that will remain with me forever. The short version of this review is to say that if you want someone with integrity, kindness & compassion, and creativity & talent, to help you, please give Buzz Boom your attention. My story starts with the loss of my adult daughter in November of 2025. My son-in-law and I postponed a celebration of life until February 2026 to allow out of state family and friends to attend. In January, I forced myself to go through the pictures to put together a slide show. Please know that I have scanned hundreds of documents over just the last few years, but unfortunately, this loss left me with a continual inability to stay focused. What happened next is that after almost 5 hours of going through three different scanners, trying and failing, I hit a wall of anxiety and just shut down. Out of exhaustion and raw emotion, I got on the internet looking for some business to put together this slide show for me. I could not find any business that advertised this specialty, but found Buzz Boom who advertised, "Creative partners with local non-profit organizations to develop and implement impactful digital experiences that engage and benefit their communities." In my mind that was as close as I could get to finding someone, so I called and left a voicemail. I do not recall what I said or how I said it, but the owner, Chris, ended up calling me back to say that this is not something he did, but he wanted to help me. I was overwhelmed with emotion, and we agreed to meet later that week. When we met, Chris took his time and went through all of the pictures with me so I could tell my daughter's story. He was sensitive and truly seemed interested in her life. He heard what I hoped to get from this project and assured me that he would have this ready for me in time. Not only did he keep me updated throughout the process, but when I received the finished product, I found that he added features that brought some of the poorly lit phots to life - literally! Using AI technology, it felt like he brought my girl back to life for just a little while. And then he added my requested song backgrounds so that they told the stories behind the pictures. This was not just a slideshow. This was an experience. It was beyond what I expected and completely out of reach of what I could have done on my own. Before we parted ways, Chris told me that even though this job was unexpected and was not part of his business platform, he was compelled to do this for me and may even do this again. That gave me so much joy. My daughter's memorial was yesterday. I was so excited to share my slideshow with a room full of people and was not at all disappointed at their reactions. It was a production that brought laughter and tears to pretty much everyone in the room and I received so many comments afterwards on how impressed they were with this presentation. I hope that anyone who reads my story will find the qualities they seek for their own project and to consider allowing Buzz Boom to tell their story.

CUDDA SAVED $50 IF I WERE'NT SUCH A TECH DWEEB WITH NO MEMORY STICK…read moreIn June 2025, I visited Morup Signs at 12824 NE 14th Pl in Evans Plaza, Bellevue, to have a double-sided handheld protest sign made for "NO KINGS DAY" (June 14, 2025). I had my design file ready, which I emailed to them. But a time crunch meant I couldn't have them handle the full printing and mounting. Laura, the owner, quoted me $50 for them to save the file on a memory stick and then suggested for me to go to FedEx for printing, which I did. I then sourced my own cardboard pieces and stick and assembled it with duct tape. It was a bit "Bubba" (my staple gun was too small!), but it worked. And it was certainly more cost-effective than having them design, print, and mount both sides of the protest sign entirely. BUT LESSONS LEARNED MEANT NO LOSS Tammy, an employee, was incredibly helpful: he advised me on suitable sign materials, recommended a 2' x 3' size, cut two 2' x 3' pieces of cardboard from larger pieces I brought, and downloaded my file onto the memory stick. Crucially, he showed me their much better, weatherproof, high-contrast material - far superior to my cheap brown cardboard, which doesn't offer good contrast even for large letters. This experience really highlighted the importance of letter visibility for protest signs; they need to be seen from across the street. While my sign might require "telescopic vision" (see pic), that was my choice. MENTORING MORUP SIGNS & THE MASSES Given the anticipated need for many protest signs in 2025, (anti-kudos to Donolf Trumpler) I want to share a past experience: I had Morup Signs make two protest signs for me back in 2000. The former employee was pleasant and did a good job, though I should have been clearer about completely pasting over the older first sign with the newer second sign. (just make a whole new sign) My only minor gripe from that time was a bit of a desire from his end to make the signs his way, not mine. I mention all this for the benefit of both Morup Signs and future customers, especially re: protest signs. Please learn from my mistakes! Despite that minor point from 25 years ago, I came back because Morup Signs has overall done good work for a fair price.
