He said the swing overall looked good and corrected just a few things. He went over everything he recommended, took before and after video, and showed me where I needed corrections in the before video, and where I made the corrections in the after video. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to go to the range after the lesson. However, I played for the first time since the lesson yesterday, and I saw a huge difference in my game. I'm not a great golfer, but I had several pars and took about 6 strokes off of my normal score. I still have a long way to go but I would tell you that Frank is a great teacher and can help. If I can find time to play more golf, I will definitely come back to him for lessons.

When I first moved to Florida 5 years ago I started to take golf lessons and over the course of 2…read moreyears, used two different instructors. While I played in my 20s while visiting my parents, I never before had official lessons, and it's fair to say that I was still a 'newbie' to the sport. After roughly 20 lessons across the two instructors, endless hours on the golf range and a par 3 course (thanks to some very patient individuals who were willing to put up with my play 1 - 2x/week), I never got better. My ball striking was inconsistent (as in, I couldn't connect all the time) and while my love for the game never waned, I did become increasingly frustrated. Elbow surgery forced me to take some time off and I decided that I needed to basically re-start from scratch. After researching golf instructors in South Florida, I came across Jess. I read the reviews, watched his videos and made the conscious decision to NOT swing a club until I had my first lesson with Jess. Well, that first lesson was today and I was absolutely floored. While other instructors focused on my grip and just watched me hack away hour after hour, Jess gave me actual tools that I can use to better my game. We worked on 3 specific drills that I can now focus on. Basic drills, but this was the first time I actually understood what was inhibiting me from having a consistent ability to connect with the ball. Somehow, these fundamentals were never discussed with me prior, even though I was taking lessons from PGA certified instructors. I do believe everyone learns differently. For me, having a knowledge in the fundamentals (e.g., weight on front leg, shoulder down, wrists straight) for the first time leaves me with the feeling that I can do this. Thanks, Jess! I walked in looking to purchase THREE new callaway quantum clubs, expecting the total to be over $1000. The first older gentleman I asked was standing by the simulators. "Hello, do you have the new quantum's to try". He responded with, no, we won't have them for 3 weeks. I then asked, "well how about the new mizuno?". Again he responded no, another 3 weeks. So then I walk over to the racks, I find the exact two clubs I'm looking to try available. I bring them over, and say: "it looks like you have the clubs, can I try them?" I am then scolded, told those are new clubs, don't touch them, put them back. I say well yes obviously, and returned the club. Finally, after 20 minutes, I was then able to try the new quantum driver. I hit it for 5 mins, then was ready to try the mizuno. The guy who helped us was busy with another group. So I waited. When he returned I asked to try the mizuno. TO MY SURPRISE: he then tells me, you have to leave the booth. I asked Why sir? Do you think i am not able to buy the clubs? He responded with, we have another customer waiting, and you've been here 10 minutes. I just said ok, and left. Not worth my stress. Talk about losing an easy sale though. Horrible taste in my mouth after this. Shocking really.

We booked our reservation online and the process was pretty easy. Total cost was $136 for 5 people playing for 2 hours. It felt like it was a bit high, but bowling or a movie for 5 can be like $100 and it's not like there are other Topgolf knockoffs to choose from. Anyway, we arrived a bit early but they took us right in. There were a variety of different games you could play where you could get points even if you didn't get the best shot. So the kids were able to complete pretty well with us adults and even win a few rounds! They had a food and drinks available but we had eaten prior to arriving and didn't get anything. The offerings were chicken tenders, pizza, burgers and the like. Prices seemed reasonable. Overall we had a really good time and would likely go back at some point. Five stars from me.

Unfortunately, I selected the wrong date by mistake and contacted them to see if the reservation could simply be moved to the correct date. Instead of allowing a reasonable date change, I was informed that I would be charged for the reservation and would lose the benefit of the complimentary offer. I understand that policies are in place, but given that this was a promotional invitation from Topgolf and an honest scheduling mistake, I feel there should have been more flexibility and customer consideration. I hope Topgolf will reconsider how situations like this are handled, because the experience left me feeling that my business and loyalty as a customer were not valued.

What a bummer. The "enshitification" of the world as a whole continues... And now it includes the…read morelifetime at Boca. I recently returned to this lifetime after being away a few months. I simply cannot believe the decisions made for their renovation. I understand renovations were needed as the gym they previously purchased and renamed, did need several cosmetic updates. However, whoever made the decisions for this specific location seriously is tone deaf, and should not be put in charge of such decisions in the future. Not to mention, the air conditioning still stops working randomly, the showers are not open for use, can't use the court because of construction, several classes unavailable. And they are still charging full price. The only silver lining, and also the only reason I left two stars, is because the lifting area is still nicely maintained. And honestly, after seeing what they chose to do with the basketball courts, I will no longer be coming to this location. Removal of the full court NBA sized court with all the side baskets will affect their membership numbers more than they realize. This location has long been a legendary court where high-level players and their training staff and friends would frequent. Especially over the summer. Now it's been downsized to a LA Fitness style court. Also, considering how much it cost nowadays to replace of hardwood basketball court, if they ever chose to go back on their decision, it would cost them triple. Absolutely bonehead move by whoever signed off on this. Whoever made this decision, does not understand the local community and their desires. Furthermore, it's not like they were short on space. There's plenty of room in this massive gym to have turf placed without cutting up the bball floor. Not to mention, the other nearest lifetime in Palm Beacch Gardens only has Pickleball courts. So basically, if you are a basketball player, Life Time doesn't really care about you. Such an absolute shame. Local community that is affected by this will find alternate locations. Personally, I will be going to the equinox in West Palm. Feel free to include a boring corporate response below this review, but understand that no matter what you say, you made a terrible decision which was not " in the best interest of the community". I hate how so many things nowadays are made worse by someone sitting behind a desk signing off on bad ideas. Went in hoping for a tour to join but left with no intention of coming back. She informed guest passes are no longer allowed because theft at the gym was high and that the AC may not be working upstairs. After waiting for 10 minutes the other receptionist came back and said that no one was available to give a tour, even though there were two people at the front desk.
