Park Ridge Golf Course was built in 2004 on property that was originally a landfill which closed in 1987. It is a Palm Beach County Parks course that is a fairly interesting golf course design. There aren't many golf courses in the area that have the kind of elevation changes that Park Ridge offers. There is one particular hole that the highest point is more than 85 feet. The golf course plays at 6,919 yards from the back (Black) tees, but there are plenty of tee boxes to choose from for all skill levels. We played the next tee box up from the back tees and I found that perfect for my game. There are a couple holes that are somewhat challenging and I must have been having the game of my life because I seemed to not notice the difficulty of the hole. The two holes I found interesting were 12 and 15, which a player would need to drive long enough to avoid the thick grassy areas that truly do not offer much relief. Although the course does have fairway traps, the greens are not heavily protected by sand traps. In fact, I never played a game where I did not at least fall into a sand trap at least once. This was one of those unusual times where I never was in a sand trap and somehow also avoided thick grassy areas. Yes, I had a great game and I will not note my score on this review. I will only say it is truly worth playing this golf course at least once if you are in the area.

Was recently told about this course by a customer of mine.. finally made it out yesterday and I have to say this is an AWESOME course to play in palm beach county! Some doglegs, some shots over water and a lot of elevation changes unlike most courses I've played in South Florida. Greens were in good condition and the staff was polite and quick. Pace of play was a bit slow but that was because there was a lady playing in front of us that was walking instead of using a cart.. Would definitely recommend playing for beginners like me and to anyone that's been playing for years.. challenging but a lot of fun! I believe the course was designed by the same guy who designed the Okeeheelee golf courses. Check it out!

Wouldn't give me balls for the range. Came twice and had a different excuse each time.

This course is rated by many as the best Par 3 Course in the Country (Augusta's Par 3 course is 9…read moreholes btw)... and whenever I meet anyone who's been here they rave. This is because it's such a nice course, it's along the Intercoastal and the Ocean, the condition is great, and the people here are so nice. Oh yeah, the restaurant is excellent too! Such a treat to play here. This public course is only made possible by the fact that wealthy businessman Michael Phipps (his grandfather was Henry Phipps, a partner of Andrew Carnegie in US Steel) owned all the property (and a lot more) and built it for his own personal use in 1961. It was privately owned until 1973, when Phipps sold it to the Town of Palm Beach for only $5 million. The course was renovated and redesigned in 2009 by Hall of Fame golfer Raymond Floyd, making it the great course it is today. Tee times can be booked online. Also, they have an excellent driving range and putting green. Make sure you include a meal. So great sitting on the deck which overlooks the ocean. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

After our round we went up to the Al Fresco restaurant on the second floor of the clubhouse and enjoyed lobster rolls outside on the deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Note, if you are not playing early, you will need to valet park.

My wife and I love golf, we were members at Aberdeen golf Country Club but we didn't feel welcome…read moreby the residents because we lived in a nearby community. Towards the end of our membership, we decided to leave and look for a private country club where golf was the priority. We went to Lost City Country Club played a round of golf, had lunch and we were sold. We met Mike Dolan and he took really good care of everything for us, a true professional. The three nines were all redesigned by Tom Fazio II, the layouts are beautiful, and the greens are lightning fast. The three nines have their own personalities, personally I prefer the East course because there's a lot of water. There will be other improvements coming soon, yardage signs at the range, more lights in the parking lot, cart path from the North course to the East course, new ball washers... We had lunch and dinner more than a few times and the food was excellent, and very affordable, our servers Jonathan, Gabby and Suzy Q were efficient and professional. The members are very friendly, a lot of them came and introduced themselves to us in the dining room, knowing that we were new members. It's like a big family!! We met Mihai Ripanu and Evans of the food and beverage department and they told us that if we needed anything to ask them. There is also Ed the starter, Peter, Scotty and Nolan at the cart building that take great care of us when we set foot on the premises. I haven't met the pro Mason and the GM mister McMahon yet but I will surely meet them soon!! Bottom line, we are very happy with our decision, it's exactly what one would expect from a private country club. If you're interested in becoming a member Mike Dolan is your man!!

Lost City is 27 holes of golf. No tee times. An exclusive member experience. Outstanding members. Incredible atmosphere. A great dining experience and classic tournaments. I would recommend checking it out.
