My wife and I love golf, we were members at Aberdeen golf Country Club but we didn't feel welcome…read moreby the residents because we lived in a nearby community. Towards the end of our membership, we decided to leave and look for a private country club where golf was the priority. We went to Lost City Country Club played a round of golf, had lunch and we were sold. We met Mike Dolan and he took really good care of everything for us, a true professional. The three nines were all redesigned by Tom Fazio II, the layouts are beautiful, and the greens are lightning fast. The three nines have their own personalities, personally I prefer the East course because there's a lot of water. There will be other improvements coming soon, yardage signs at the range, more lights in the parking lot, cart path from the North course to the East course, new ball washers... We had lunch and dinner more than a few times and the food was excellent, and very affordable, our servers Jonathan, Gabby and Suzy Q were efficient and professional. The members are very friendly, a lot of them came and introduced themselves to us in the dining room, knowing that we were new members. It's like a big family!! We met Mihai Ripanu and Evans of the food and beverage department and they told us that if we needed anything to ask them. There is also Ed the starter, Peter, Scotty and Nolan at the cart building that take great care of us when we set foot on the premises. I haven't met the pro Mason and the GM mister McMahon yet but I will surely meet them soon!! Bottom line, we are very happy with our decision, it's exactly what one would expect from a private country club. If you're interested in becoming a member Mike Dolan is your man!!

Waitress was nice but pressed on me to get the bottle water instead of tap. The Caesar salad wrap tasted good, but too much lettuce and not enough chicken. The dressing was very good, got it on the side. At first they brought out a side salad even though I asked for fruit, so they swapped it no problem. The fruit was fresh and plentiful, a very big bowl of watermelon, pineapple and honeydew and cantaloupe. Usually I don't like honeydew and cantaloupe but they were juicy and fresh and very good. Decent for the price of $15. Overall a worth it experience to do something fun, kill an hour and have a light bite.

Today I played golf at Winston Trails golf club. I play there almost every Monday at 12:00 pm and…read morebook on golf now. It is usually a good experience a nice course and good pace of play in the middle of the summer day in the Florida heat. Usually when I play, I buy a small bucket of range balls to warm up. At Winston Trails they only have a medium bucket for $16.00. Most golf course charges 5,7, or 10 for a bucket depending on size. Because I am a senior and on a fixed income I usually just chip and putt only when I play at this course. When I got to the warm up area, the range had no players on it and a half of bucket of balls that someone left. I took that half bucket and placed it in my cart. I sat in my cart putting suntan lotion on, placing my sky caddie in place. I then took the half bucket and started hitting range balls. The shop manager, Josh Davis came out and started yelling at me, he took the balls from me and accused me of stealing them from the large supply box that holds all the range balls. He says I am banned from ever coming back and playing Winston Trails again. I tried to explain to him that they were on the range just sitting there but he would not listen. Josh Davis said play your round and you are banned from this course. I then went over to the chipping area and started chipping balls that were left on the chipping area. Josh Davis sent a guy to pick up all the balls taking them right out of hitting area. This manager, Josh Davis, is the most unprofessional golf manager I have ever met. Nasty unwilling to listen and would not come out of his little office when I tried to talk with him the second time. I have never stolen anything in my life. I think Winston Trails should change Josh Davis job to replacing divots. He has no tack and no business dealing with customers. I also like to know if he can ban me from playing the course. I play there a lot and cause no trouble. Alan Winston
