I walked in looking to purchase THREE new callaway quantum clubs, expecting the total to be over $1000. The first older gentleman I asked was standing by the simulators. "Hello, do you have the new quantum's to try". He responded with, no, we won't have them for 3 weeks. I then asked, "well how about the new mizuno?". Again he responded no, another 3 weeks. So then I walk over to the racks, I find the exact two clubs I'm looking to try available. I bring them over, and say: "it looks like you have the clubs, can I try them?" I am then scolded, told those are new clubs, don't touch them, put them back. I say well yes obviously, and returned the club. Finally, after 20 minutes, I was then able to try the new quantum driver. I hit it for 5 mins, then was ready to try the mizuno. The guy who helped us was busy with another group. So I waited. When he returned I asked to try the mizuno. TO MY SURPRISE: he then tells me, you have to leave the booth. I asked Why sir? Do you think i am not able to buy the clubs? He responded with, we have another customer waiting, and you've been here 10 minutes. I just said ok, and left. Not worth my stress. Talk about losing an easy sale though. Horrible taste in my mouth after this. Shocking really.

Went with our friends after a nice Sunday brunch. It was sort of organized, in sections, but not exactly. Socks were in multiple places and the shoe section had shoes in the wrong box or just one shoe not a pair. I wanted to find a pair of HOKAs, which I did. I also got a cute pair of flamingo socks for my dad and another pair of SmartWool hiking socks that were marked $22 but rang up at $6. Nice! Definitely ask for the prices at check out. They had discounts on top of discounts, so a few of the SPF shirts that we bought were heavily discounted and a few we left at the store. Still, Going, Going, Gone is a nice place to hunt for a bargain in South Florida.

After beating up my body playing competitive basketball, I felt like every part of me needed replacement, and it had started to affect my golf swing. But who was I fooling? I love the game, the social aspect of it, and hitting a ball hard when I want to blow off some steam. Recently, I wandered into the PGA Super Store and decided to try out three different brands of clubs. The associate helping me was incredible, so patient and knowledgeable. It turned out he was a retired air traffic controller, which explained his calm and precise approach. What stood out to me was that I wasn't being pressured to buy anything right away. Unlike other golf stores I've been in, there was no rush, no push to get me to make a quick decision. I later learned that the staff at this store aren't on sales commissions, and that made a huge difference. It's a stark contrast to places where employees are incentivized to move product quickly. There's no doubt in my mind that this is the store where I'll be buying my next set of clubs. The associate even suggested I bring in my current clubs for comparison before making my final decision. The store is large and has everything one would need to buy for the game of golf. Also, the value of having a staff that is helpful, courteous is worth the price. Watch out, I'm about to improve my handicap with a new set and probably become much more competitive against those players scoring 80 and below who have been kicking my butt.
