The store was well organized and had good signage. I tried on a few pairs of sneakers and when I found one's I liked, I asked the sales person to see if they were available in my size. They don't keep full pairs on the sales floor so when they are busy, the wait just to see if they have your size could be a giant waste of time. Luckily it was not crowded and the salesperson was pretty quick in locating my shoes. I was also surprised to find that they were on sale and there was not mark down sticker on the shoe or the box. Check out went pretty quickly and I logged into the app to receive my points for my purchase. Dick's carries whatever is needed as a sports enthusiast or a heavy duty athlete. Parking was not great because of so many businesses sharing one lot but I was albe to find parking pretty easily.

He became verbally abusive toward my girlfriend and physically threatening toward me. The situation felt unsafe. The man kept getting close to us inside the store, and continued escalating until we felt we had to leave. I asked employees to call the police, but they appeared completely disinterested and did not intervene, say anything, or take any visible action. They seemed more like spectators than staff responsible for customer safety. I understand that stores cannot control every customer who walks in, but they can control how they respond when customers are being threatened. The lack of employee involvement or visible security made the store feel unsafe. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location.

You can try out a bike in a low traffic area behind their store. Tried out their e-bikes, but opted for a traditional bike. They are real pros and care about doing everything right. After you purchase a bike, they ask you to bring it back for a free checkup to make sure everything is working properly... love that. It's nice to deal with people who care about what they do and bend over backwards to help the customer. That's why they've been in business since 1957. I just started playing golf and needed some fundamentals in order to get my swings right. I got…read morethe Groupon for an 1hr swing lesson, sent an email to Bob, he set up an account for me, and I was signed up with Cinchai "Cheech" Chuvichien at The Lakes at El Segundo for a week later. Cheech's station is at the top left of the driving range, and he was all set up and ready to go when I arrived. Because I was new and didn't have my own clubs, he actually got a couple of women's clubs from the clubhouse so I can practice with those. Cheech used the video analysis on my stance, swings, and everything else, and I was able to see how I was lined up vs how I should be lined up, my swing movements, and my club placement. It was an hour but I was still getting so tired at the end from swinging, haha. I had a lot of fun and was able to consistently get a good ball contact and shot over half of my shots, so I was happy. I didn't sign up for any additional lessons because they are way to expensive for me, and I think I just need to keep on practicing and playing on my own and making sure that I'm hitting the ball correctly 90% of the time before I need further and more advanced instructions.

I sent him several messages and he failed to respond. All I got was a sales email back asking if I wanted to sign up for a lesson plan at really high prices (I think about $140 per hour). He was obviously overwhelmed with the Groupons. He should have set a limit. Also I expected some kind of communication back, whether it was a message saying he was busy and to contact him again in a couple of weeks. As I had started my lesson plan I at least expected some kind of preferential treatment over those who had not started yet. Anyhow Groupon refunded me when I explained the issue to them. Lesson wise, he started about 20 minutes late, but we still worked on and did the full hour and probably some more. The tips and pics taken were useful. However I did not like his instruction. I found him very cantankerous and flippant. He asked me questions and when I tried to answer, gave me smart ass responses. I certainly will not be going back again. There are so many other good (and cheaper) choices in the area - especially Zack Allen in Burbank.

Just want to share my very positive experience at this store…read more I got back into running about three months ago and was told I need the right running shoes. I did my homework and visited few running stores in the area. After a week of reading reviews after reviews, talking to different "experts" at different stores and getting my feet scanned, I have an idea what I am looking for. But now I have a wealth of information to a point where I started to get confused. I bought a pair of Hoka Clifton 6 few days ago but now I am looking for a second pair to keep in my office for my lunch run so I decided to give this store a shot. I walked in an hour before they closed and was promptly greeted by John. John listened to my needs, analyze my feet by having me do couple of things and right away knew the type of shoes I need. I told him about the Clifton I just bought and he told me it's the right shoes for me. Now I'm sure he works on commission and he can easily try to talk me out of it but not knowing I was looking for a second pair, he told me I made the right choice. After I told him I'm looking for a second pair, he recommended few others which was the same shoes the other running stores recommended and they scanned my feet to come to that conclusion. Unfortunately, John didn't have the wide shoes I needed but that didn't stop John from sharing some running tips and giving advise. Then somehow we started talking about California and Yellowstone National Park and since he had visited those places he spent at least 20 minutes telling me where to go, what to do, etc. Seriously, the guy couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Then my partner was looking for some hiking boots and another associate Mike helped him with his shoes and was also helpful and patience with the many questions my partner had. While waiting on him to try on shoes, a third associate Adam made a small chat about the Clifton I was wearing and proceed to tell me the difference between my Clifton and Hoka Gaviota. Wow, these guys know their stuff and are happy to share their knowledge with you. In the end, we didn't get any shoes due to inventory but on our way out, John even told me to call him should I found a pair online and he can tell me if that's the right one for me or not. I have never had such a pleasant experience shopping for shoes and will definitely come back here when I'm ready for replacement shoes. Thank you John, Mike and Adam!
