This is because it's such a nice course, it's along the Intercoastal and the Ocean, the condition is great, and the people here are so nice. Oh yeah, the restaurant is excellent too! Such a treat to play here. This public course is only made possible by the fact that wealthy businessman Michael Phipps (his grandfather was Henry Phipps, a partner of Andrew Carnegie in US Steel) owned all the property (and a lot more) and built it for his own personal use in 1961. It was privately owned until 1973, when Phipps sold it to the Town of Palm Beach for only $5 million. The course was renovated and redesigned in 2009 by Hall of Fame golfer Raymond Floyd, making it the great course it is today. Tee times can be booked online. Also, they have an excellent driving range and putting green. Make sure you include a meal. So great sitting on the deck which overlooks the ocean. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I came here for a special lunch event with a large group. Every staff member I encountered was extremely nice and courteous and even hailed from many different countries. Non-alcoholic beverages were gratis for my event, while alcohol was not. Many diners had either wine or beer, while I chose a titos and pinneapple, which was made well. Alcohol prices were average, not overly priced like you may think. Due to the size of our group, we dined in the large dining room in the westernmost portion of the clubhouse building. The food, which was buffet style and served out on the rear covered patio, was superb. Once you grab your food at the 3 stations, everyone returns to the assigned table to eat. Items served included various salads, chicken salad, stir fry, noodles, roast turkey, skirt steak with chimmichurri sauce, and shrimp shumai. They also set up a dessert bar inside where they had fruits, cookies and soft serve ice cream. I enjoyed the food better than the desserts. I would have preferred if real ice cream was served instead of soft serve. After the meal, most in our group found their way to the gift shop which is located at the far east end of the building. Many of the items you will find inside the shop are good quality, and the prices are average to high because of this. There are leather golf accessories, pillows, lots of clothing and shoes. Many pieces are embossed with the golf club logo, but some are not. I found a nice golf shirt, Made in the USA of course, on the 40% off rack. Valet is available, but not mandatory. You can also self park. I would say most members do valet, but some park in the various parking areas. We weren't able to play golf or walk the grounds much during our short visit, other than the immediate parking area and at the front and rear patio of the clubhouse, but its obvious the grounds are very beautiful, as well as the golf course itself with several waterfalls, fountains and several areas of relief which can be seen from the rear patio. One of the most interesting parts of the experience visiting the golf club is walking the halls and seeing history. There are several pieces of sports and photographic memorabilia on the walls and locked away in glass cases. Many of these are from the famous people Trump has met, or magazine covers where he's been featured on the front page.

There is a large sign for the bathrooms which leads to a series of port o pottys. No indoor bathrooms. They were indeed not smelly and decently clean. But no sink??? Grabbed a cart and headed to my car to load up. The started must've been on a break but I heard the two guys inside checking in for the same tee time as mine. We paired up on hole 1 and waited for the group ahead of us to clear. The carts are basic- no gps. There is a cooler with no ice. No tees. No towel. Just a Bluetooth speaker. Distances on the card led me to the red tees. The guys played from the white. The course was in pretty good shape. Some areas had bald fairways. But for $35 I really cannot complain. Greens were in great shape and so were the sand traps which unfortunately I found myself in more than once. Nice layout. Lots of nature. Slow pace. In 1:15, I made it to the green on 6, but had to go pick up mom. I excused myself around the groups ahead of us and the guys gave me a credit for $18 (future 9 hole). They yelled at a guy to come help me unload at my car and return the cart for me but I declined. My car was very close. Overall I'd say very enthusiastic and helpful service. Nice course. Range is getting an upgrade and will be ready soon. I will come back if I'm in the area, but I'd hope to go when it's not busy. Playing slow at 2:45pm in August is a sure fire way to get sunburned. And it wasn't the group ahead of us. There was a group ahead of them and ahead of them etc. it's just the way it is sometimes.

They were staffed sufficiently to handle the initial surge of valet parking and we had no problem getting drinks at the cocktail reception open bar. Then we moved into the large dining room where we were served a salad course, an entree duo of sliced beef tenderloin and herb marinated shrimp, along with truffle whipped potato and roasted winter vegetables. Desert was a coconut snowball with a chocolate cookie and chocolate drizzle. Considering the number of people in attendance, I don't know how the chef was able to serve such a delicious meal. They have a club house and restaurant that separates the front and back courses. If you choose to not walk and carry clubs, they will rent a golf cart to navigate from one hole to the next. I stopped in for lunch this past week and enjoyed watching the golfers both good and bad tee off to the first hole. I was surprised at how many golfers sank their first ball into the small water hole. In the front of the building there is a putting area to do a little practicing before the main event. Parking is also easily available and the grounds are kept nicely for those who are visiting.
