Have taken my son and he has always been happy with his cut. Call first to make sure someone is there.

Quality of haircut was below average! Not only did I not get the cut we asked for but the barber cut up all of my sons neck. He had so many scratches that even reached his face! I'm so beyond upset with this service. read more

Came in to the shop as a walk in and Mike one of the barbers greeted me nice and friendly and asked if I was a walk in or If I had an appt he was so professional told me I have 1 person ahead of you but don't worry I can get you in. I'm glad I waited for him because my son got the Best haircut he has gotten and I have been here before just gave it another shot I'm glad they stay open late for the parents that get out late from work. But Mike did such and awesome job got what I asked for and the haircut was on point. Other barbers that are their don't even say anything when you walk in so un professional. Thanks Mike I will be back soon. read more

Brought my Son in for the first time and wasn't impressed. A friendly hello or something would have been nice. After thirty minutes my Son texted me " I was waiting in the car couldn't stand the loud barber talking to his friends. " he said he wanted to go. This place is just to cool for us. read more

UPDATE!!!! Still five star rating but a little rocky on this visit. I usually get my hair cut by Greg but he had an appointment when I showed up, the appointment was running late so he said he'll cut my hair and when he was about to the other client showed up so yeah annoying. POINT of this update is that I ended up having Johnny cut my hair the youngest and newest to the barbers at this shop but let me tell you. He knows what he's doing and I'm very picky with my hair and presentation so it was like ehhh do I want to but I needed the hair cut asap and didn't want to wait. Johnny attempted to do the same or similar style of cut Greg does and Greg did well on explaining it to him really quick. He did something similar but a bit shorter than I'm used to, not a problem since people enjoy the change. I'm happy about the service here, it was a bit annoying at first but in the end it was my fault. ---------- I first came here due to my barber Greg moving locations. I didn't even know there was a shop there. I walked in and was greeted by a few people even my old barber Joseph. This place has a very clean smell to it not like a wet rag or sweaty pits like most shops. There's candles burning and a corner ceiling fan keeping the air circulating and AC pumping to protect you from the heat. Staff are really friend, I had an appointment with Greg but arrived 15 minutes early either way and got out looking and feeling brand new. I would recommend this place to my friends any day. Definitely will be back. read more

Thank you Illiana for giving our son such an amazing cut! We have taken our now two year old to so three barbers and none could do a good cut on him due to him Screaming, crying, kicking you name it, but once we got here she made him feel so comfortable and was able to get an amazing cut on him and we couldn't be happier! If you want an outstanding cut go see her! Thank you so much and we can't wait to go back for many more cuts on Zayn!!!! read more

I made an appointment with Juan for the first time today and it was a great experience, he's friendly, shop is clean. I told Juan that I wanted a tapered fade and the hair on top just cleaned up a bit nothing crazy. He did just that and looks better then it has in a long time. Found my new barber. Thanks again for the awesome service. -Erick read more

What a bring down. After all this time waiting to finally get my hair cut at a place that has given me really good haircuts in the past. I went there this morning and found 2 barbers NOT wearing masks or gloves and one patron also not wearing a mask. He finished and left. It was my turn so I asked the barber, I had never seen before if he had a mask? He saud no, so I immediately turned around and left. I thought there was a local rule or law requiring masks. Oh well, Live and Learn. They lost a customer FOREVER. read more

This place is a good place. They spend time with your hair cut. I don't have to wait much for a walk in appointment. Gabriel is great. Definitely will go back again. read more

Barber didn't care for the clients haircut. Just walked around half the time and never focused on what was actually needing done. To the the point he finished and the half my head still had hair. Wouldn't recommend. read more

After reading the reviews I decided to stop by and check it out. It's located right on the corner of Oasis and Indio Blvd, so it's easy to spot. The shop has a real chill vibe. Illiana took care of me right away. She hooked me up! Super happy with my hair cut. read more

I guess maybe it was the time of day, towards closing, but the barber could've cared less that he was cutting my son's hair. He was too busy talking on the phone, talking to other patrons drinking beer while we were there. Way too cool for us. read more

Walked in because my barber was closed unexpectedly. Juan was free and took me right in. Explained what I believe is a routine fade, but I've had people not do a good job in the past. That was not the case with Juan! He gave me the best fade I've had in years! Nice and tight! Wasn't rough while cutting like some others I've experienced! Another thing was price, not gonna put it all there due to being respectful of their business, but let me tell you they beat the 20 bucks most barbers charge by a few bucks! I'll be returning for sure! Stop in and see Juan! Thanks Juan for your great service and great fade! read more

My new go to spot for a cut, Greg totally hooked it up with a fresh haircut and shave, he is a young up and coming stylist with tons of attention to detail! He gave me a new look that I wouldn't have thought of on my own & came out looking fresh after coming in like a shaggy dog, lol Thanks again Greg! read more

Juan has been cutting my hair for seven years now. Followed him from shop to shop. Everyone is kind and very out going at Urban Cuts. They don't charge you to fix mess ups form other shops or bad home jobs. This is a true old school roots barber shop with a new age feel. Great for kids and that fresh back to School hair cut at an even better price. So don't take your kids to Walmart when you can have a better custom hair cut for less. Ask for Juan or Iliana read more

Took my son in for a haircut, and came out impressed. My son loved his new hair and can't wait to go back for his next hair cut. Thanks guys. read more

I was a regular at this place but my last two haircuts were bad so I won't be coming back. My second to last haircut looked great and except the guy cutting my hair had his friend over and the guy was drunk and still drinking right in front of me and yelling while trying to joke around with the barber. The last time I got the same barber and asked for the same haircut, a fade, and the guy literally didn't try because the end result was nothing close to a fade and kept the top way too long even after asking him to take some more off the top when he was done. I drew the line when a friend of his came in to get a haircut and asked the barber if it was okay if he could smoke his cannabis vape pen inside... what kind of business even is that? As much as I liked coming here I absolutely won't be back. read more

We were greeted at the door by Juan. He gave us exceptional customer service. He told us to take a seat and someone would help us shortly. As soon as he was done with his customer, he took my boyfriend right away. He gave recommendations as to how my boyfriend should blend his beard into his cut. He was a complete professional. The establishment was clean and they followed State Board of California rules and regs. You can't go wrong coming here. read more

I drive all the way from thousand palms to get cut at this shop. No disrespect to the guys there but the ladies make the shop A1. Ileana and Alexis are the shit. My son has adhd and can't sit still for the life of him during his cut but these two ladies always have a way to keep him under control and ALWAYS kill his cut. I've gone to other shops in the area and was charged 25 for a kids cut! The price is amazing, the barbers are amazing, and the atmosphere is amazing! At least here your barber isn't holding a 40oz with their eyes bloodshot red from blazing it outside the shop! Best shop in the valley hands down! read more

Johnny is the man, he takes his time and make sure he is doing the cut you want at every step.

I've driven by this shop so many times and today I called and told they had an open slot. I stopped in to get my tapered fade lined up. I thought I would have to wait for a while but Robert walked in and got me in right away. He gave me a few suggestions and got my cut looking fresh again. I will be back, at least once a month to keep my new style looking good. Thanks guys... read more

I decided to veer off from my regular Barber and give this place a try. I was immediately impressed with the shop. Nice comfortable couches, TV. and yet had that feeling of a real Barber shop. The Barbers quickly acknowledged me and offered me a cold bottle of water from the mini fridge in the seating area. Angel the Barber did an excellent job and I was one Happy Dude when I left. This cool little gem of a Barber Shop is the real deal. Give it a shot! read more

Today I took my son to get his hair cut after months due to a bad experience. My son was freaking out and really didn't want anyone to touch him. Illiana worked hard to gain his trust must have taken at least 30 minutes just to get him in the chair. Once she got him in the chair she kept reassuring him and making sure he was comfortable and happy the entire time. His hair turned out adorable and when we got in the car he said i love her can we go to her everytime read more

I am a professional /Interior designer and have been going to the same hairdresser for over 20 years even though I live now North side Indio and I was still making that drive into Palm Springs every tuna half weeks to have my haircut which was costing me about $130 which I've been doing for over 20 years finally I decided to try out something different I looked up online and found Urban Cutz. I've now been there three times each time it had somebody different there are four barbers but I'll call them stylus because of what they do is nothing I know of a barber they are very professional friendly do fantastic work I've had so far tried 2 guys and a woman which there is only one I can't tell you how much better they have cut my hair for $14 which I was paying over 100 for for over 20 years now that's gonna tell you something I am picky to my own fault but here I don't say anything they just take over and I've done within 15 minutes or 20 which before it was at least an hour to have my cut which was ridiculous to begin with plus the price I would suggest anybody who wants to venture off and give this place a try I read it five stars I've never done this before I'm serious this place is great and the people are awesome Frank Gill Desing read more

My friend's new haircut looked so good I had to ask him where he got it done. I was excited to try out this new local barbershop. It has an urban vibe with talented stylists who know the latest trends. I brought my four sons (ages range from 3-12) and they were all comfortable. (In fact, when we left they all asked to go back here for their next haircuts.) When I called to make an appointment they were friendly and very professional. And when each of my sons were ready for their cuts, the stylists asked me great questions about what I wanted and gave me four different styles (for my four sons) that were perfect and precise. I will definitely be returning to this barbershop. Not only did I see my four sons walk out with great styles but I also saw some other clients leave looking amazing. I even texted my husband that he needed to make his appointment here. read more

Juan hooked it up. Went to the shop last week for the 1st time, my other barber was on vacation. I might have found a New shop. Angel and Iliana were also there and you can feel the tightness they all have. Makes for an awesome vibe. Did tell recommend it and I will be back. read more

I recently moved to the Indio area. I'm very particular about who cuts my hair and I'm a very loyal customer. It had just become to far a drive for me to go to my regular barber. I started searching for a barber in the local area, not just any barber, but a good one. I strolled into Urban Cutz and I immediately liked the atmosphere. I was met promptly at the door by Juan. He made me feel as if I had been there before. The place was clean, no piles of hair on the floor, and the music they played was appropriate for any age or race. I told Juan exactly want I wanted and he exceeded my expectations. Great conversation filled the air. Anyone who frequents a barbershop knows that it's not just about the haircut. Juan recognized that I was new to the area and he became a human GPS, letting me know where all the best spots were. I left out of there looking like a million dollars and confident that I had found me a new barber. Thanks Urban Cutz! Old School read more

This is my new go to barbershop when I'm in the valley. Hands down one of the cleanest fades and line up I had in a while.

I drive by this place on a regular bases, and have been meaning to check it out. First time here was very welcoming. The atmosphere and customer service was excellent! I brought my wife and new born baby along with me and they really enjoyed how comfortable the waiting area is. Illiana cut my hair and did an amazing job, she took her time to make it look super clean in a efficient amount of time. I always get a razor fade. Hands down best woman barber in the valley! I will recommend this place to friend, family, and co-workers. If you want a fresh cut in a family oriented environment, i suggest you go check out Juan and his crew down at Urban Cuts. read more

I have been going to Juan for over 4 years since relocating to the valley. I am more than happy to drive 15-20mins each way just so I can have Juan cut my hair. I highly recommend Urban Cutz to anyone and everyone who is looking for a great hair cut, at a great price and also a few laughs with the crew! read more
