Was truly hoping to love this cute place located in the heart of Killarney as we were looking for a change of pace from traditional Irish fare.. large menu of offerings included Thai, Chinese and Indian. We decided on the mixed seafood platter that was advertised as large prawns with other seafoods.. after many back and forth uncertainty from our waiter as to what the dish actually included we just went with it as we were craving seafood.. the large family style platter ended up being a small bowl of mostly curried slurry, small chewy chunks of mostly mussel and 'randomness' with ONE medium size prawn.. NO rice or Vegetables as stated. Furthermore, we had asked for a little tap water with lemon, yet served an oversized Evian that we barely drank and charged for it.. too many wrongs to make a nice.. giving an extra star because of location and beautiful concept and restaurant including patio.. maybe we just had a new server that didn't care and ordered the wrong menu item...‍‍ read more

Decided to try on previous reviews. Service and Food were both superb. Great waitress very pleasant and ensured we had everything we ordered and needed. Given popadoms and prawn crackers and selection of dips after order meal which were freash and tasty to nibble on. Mains food was cooked to perfection and very fresh. Chicken in both dishes were succulent with great tasting masala and madras, rice was fluffy but not overcooked. Nan was light and crunchy, chips also crunchy and fresh. Would recommend as they also do Thai and Chinese food perhaps we'll go for that next time but the Indian was mighty good so maybe it. read more

Loved this place. They are super friendly and helpful, even the place was busy. Due to my food allergies, the chef even came to my table to check to ensure that he didn't miss anything. No issues here to adjust the food for allergies as it is all made fresh to order. All guests in the party loved their dishes. We had appetizers and main course and beer and wine. read more

Amazing! We needed a break from the pubs and Italian food and decided to try this. It was excellent! We were a bit wary with the thought of three different cuisines (Chinese, Thai, and Indian). How does one do all those well? Well, I'm not sure how they figured it out but they do! Both my daughter and I got Chinese (sweet and sour chicken for her, chef's special spicy Szechuan for me). My son chose Thai (pad Thai). And my husband got Indian (lamb Rogan josh). They were all excellent. Portions were generous. Vegetables were crisp and sauces were so flavorful. Service was efficient and pleasant. Glad we gave it a shot. I would highly recommend them! read more

We really had high hopes for this place because previous Yelpers have given it five stars! *Eye roll* We had 9 people interested in the various styles of cuisine, Chinese, Thai, or Indian. Yes most would say that should be a flag right off, too many items. Well I went ahead and sent the two husbands over with everyone's orders. We received two of the Indian curries without the rice that was offered (yes husbands duty to check but so sad). The quality of the chicken in all of our dishes was very very dry. Our children said the Pad Thai was O.K. The yellow curry was tasteless. The saag I had seemed it was sitting in a hot pan all day long and had very very little flavor. Korma was like soup and very bland. The Tikka was very very runny too and lacking flavor. Spring Rolls seemed pre frozen and not fresh as all. The Poppadoms were probably the most edible thing in the entire meal. Our home rental owner had referred the Bombay for Indian and we really wish we had listened. I hate reviewing places like this but when you order 9 meals you are looking for more than one to be sufficient. Concept is there but where is the food care, or customer care, sending guests off without portions of their meal. I didn't eat here, so this is not a review of the food. Giving it a 1 star because of the racist behavior. My wife and I went to the restaurant around 8:00 PM, and the found the restaurant to be mostly empty. We asked the waiter for a table for two, and to my surprise, he said the restaurant is full. When we looked at the empty tables, he was like people have made reservations. We could read from his face that he wasn't interested in admitting us. He then took my number and said he would give me a call without even giving a rough waiting estimate when asked he told 45mins. As expected he never called back. The waiter was a sick racist, and I can't believe such people exist even in this day and age. read more

Thank you Uptown! The staff (and chef!) was very welcoming and the chicken curry I had was delicious. Every other restaurant felt like more of the same and I was shunned as a "table for one" in the crush of tourists. But not at Uptown. The staff was helpful in choosing a main dish, which was full of good quality white chicken meat (no parts!), and quick to add hot yummy garlic naan and raita. The most beautiful and delicious food ever. We are not fans of pub food or Irish food. This was more than a refuge from the rest. We had both Chinese and Thai, but will return for the Indian. Highly recommend. read more

New restaurant that I hope lasts a long time. The chef served my family personally. I had the lamb curry which was very good. My mom's dish was too spicy for her so the chef quickly made her a new dish that she loved. Affordable wine and great dessert. Very comfortable setting with accommodating staff. Delicious apps to start, try the "onion ball". Full menu of Thai, Indian and Chinese offerings. This was a great find in Killarney city center. Reasonable prices for the locale, parking close by, and a wide variety of well-prepared Asian dishes, including many vegetarian options. The owner-manager was sincerely committed to our enjoyment, even voluntarily supplying a substitute for a dish we found too spicy. Highly recommended! read more
