I know, the first thing your thinking is Chinese food in Ireland, but let me just say after a week of pub food this restaurant was a godsend. When looking for somewhere to eat on our travels, my husband and I consider 3 things. The service, ambiance, and the food (authenticity, freshness, and taste). This place sure has it all. We were greeted with genuinely kind smiles, and escorted to our seats. We were provided a little heater, which made the space cozy. The decor is beautiful right down to the designs on the tables. We ordered hot and sour soup, wan tons, spring rolls, and pan fried pork dumplings for appetizers to share. They were all delicious. My husband said the soup was by far the best he had ever eaten in his life. The wan tons and spring rolls were crispy, packed with flavor, and served with a sweet and sour sauce that took it to the next level. The highlight for me was the dumplings. They reminded me of a Chinese version of a perogi. They contained onions, spices and of course pork. The sauce served on the side was like a vinegar based soy sauce. Not my favorite, but my husband loved it. For entrées I had the beef in a Szechuan sauce, and my husband had Singapore chow mein. Let's start by saying there wasn't a grain of rice left on the plates. The beef was undeniably tender, the sauce spicy but to the exact right degree, the veggies were still a little crisp but coated in the sauce( just the way I like it) and the boiled rices texture was on point. My husbands was packed with flavor. They did not skimp on the proteins. The shrimp were big and cooked perfectly. During our visit the waitstaff were pleasant and attentive to our needs without being intrusive. We did not feel rushed in any way. They spaced out the plates so we were able to enjoy them while they were hot. Sadly we were too full for dessert, but we will be returning. read more
