These are brave employees working with some of the most challenging customers there are. I have been buying and pawning with this location for years. I have seen a fellow come in with a shopping cart full of junk, and the staff had to spend over half an hour going through it. How can you give this store a one star when its customers like that, which has to be dealt with.

Totally unprofessional. A little after 2 PM on 4/30/26 I waited in line for 45 minutes w/the woman…read morebehind me in line bumping in to me a couple times and getting way too close. After the only counter the employees appeared to be using opened up I approached it. Wasn't acknowledged and was ignored for a few minutes until the lady behind the counter, Tatiana, signaled the rude lady behind me to step forward even though I was in front of her. Let her know I was next in line and had been patiently waiting for a long time (unlike the lady behind me who repeatedly bumped me). She then caught an attitude and accused me of stepping out of the line (That I was at the front of). Ended up having to wait for another employee. He was nice, no problem w/him. She then tried to make it look as though I was complaining about him by commenting that he was new! Don't know where she got that from!!! I reiterated that I wasn't complaining about him in the slightest and suggested he get a raise. Unfortunately he had to call Tatiana over for help & I mentioned to her that I never stepped out of the line & she responded with "Is that how you talk to women?!"!!! Been coming to this shop for twenty years & have never had an issue at all before today. That's the response I get for asking why she took the lady BEHIND me in line BEFORE me?!?! What was she trying to insinuate?! How I talk to women...? I kept it respectful, I didn't raise my voice, curse or call her out of her name in any way & that was her response?! Just wow. I don't think interacting w/the public is the job for her. She's lazy and instigating nonsense w/customers so has an excuse to throw them out and be able to shorten the long line faster. I see her! I won't be giving you any more of my business going forward if I see her again or deal w/anyone with that kind of attitude. Absolutely not. I recommend/advise keeping her in back to clean toilets if you choose to keep her and her rude incompetence employed...Her attempt to de-escalate the the situation SHE CAUSED was laughable. Do better.

They made sense with their pricing explanations and worked with me on extensions for pawned items that I went to buy back. All 3 of these guys are equally easy to work with and fair. If new customers knew what I knew when they walked in, they would feel at ease about their decision to do business here. If I ever need to go back, I absolutely will. Thanks fellas!

I showed up at the shop right when they opened and tried to sell my grandma's small Vizio TV but unfortunately it was too old for them to buy it so I put it back in my car. I went back into the shop with a large shopping bag with the intent of filling it up with DVDs and Blu-rays for my personal use and to resell on eBay. He at first told me that the prices listed on the individual Blu-rays were negotiable and that he could give me a deal. Well after he saw me on my phone looking up prices and scanning movies, he told me that he wasn't going to give me a good deal if I was just gonna flip them. After about an hour of browsing their entire impressive collection, I brought hundreds of dollars worth of movies to the counter and asked how much the DVDs were and how much the Blu-rays were. The sales guy said, "Honestly, I'm going to charge you the prices listed." Mind you, the prices listed on the Blu-rays varied widely from $5.99 to $19.99 which is insane for pawn shop prices. A fair market price for a pawn shop Blu-ray is $3 max, and DVD $2 max. I was prepared to pay that but the guy was such a jerk to me and refused to do business with me. He said, "We're not here for you to make money off of," (isn't that what pawn shops do to their sellers?) and even said, "Had you been more upfront about (flipping) in the first place, I might've cut you a deal" which is total BS. I think I might've just touched a soft spot on him by trying to make an honest living just like him, and I bluntly told him, "That's not fair" and "That's none of your business." Why does he care so much about what I do with the stuff I buy fair and square? I will never go back to this place and have warned all my friends, family, and coworkers. I will post this review everywhere I can. And THEN, in order to have the last word, the sales guy told me to take my "crappy monitor" with me and leave. His ego must've been more important than making a good sale. I could tell the Blu-rays and DVDs hadn't moved in months, maybe even years because they were dirty and dusty and faded and sun bleached. Take your business elsewhere, like Excel Pawn in Shakopee just down the road or literally anywhere else. The guys at Excel Pawn treated me with respect and were happy to part with stacks of DVDs and Blu-rays when I went there next. Avoid Pawn X Change. Unfair, rude, unprofessional, nosy, and unintelligent.

Order#*************9356 Date: 7/28/26…read moreItem: Tag Heuer Aquaracer 500M Caliber 5 Automatic watch. I first called, as I was buying online from out of state. They were incredibly accommodating and provided every detail I needed to feel comfortable making a $1400 purchase without actually seeing the watch in person. I know watches and have experience, both good and not so good, purchasing online. I don't usually leave reviews, but felt compelled after receiving this watch. I looked specifically for this model, for months. Everything was either 30% (or higher) in cost and or well worn. The online pics looked great however, those can be made to look that way, "artificially". When I received the watch, I was shocked! It was better, in every respect, than I was expecting and that just doesn't happen, there's always something. As someone who buys and sells over 100 watches annually, I've learned to temper my expectations. Great deal, great service, great product. Not to mention the $500 in equity I immediately gained on the purchase of this watch! Search for yourself and see what this type of watch goes for, in this condition! This isn't my first Experience with Pawn America. Before I moved, there was a store literally minutes from my home. My end of a long week treat, was stopping by on the way home to see what was new. Needless to say, I rarely left empty-handed. This was the single most expensive item I've purchased to date, it will not be the last. The only thing that'll change? will be to look there first!

I sold my PS5 for 250 and paid every week and when I wanted to buy it back they asked for over 400…read moredollars.
