They are fun to receive during work (I forward the funny ones where Rufio poops more than two times to my mom and sister ) and are also great when your pup is under the weather and at home alone. If Rufio refuses to walk in the rain or snow Mike will bring him out and then stay and play with him for the rest of the time. Mike also helped give me referrals for dog trainers! Last time I was out of town, my flight back was canceled because of bad weather. I called Josh, and he personally made sure to check on my dogs a couple more times until I was able to get back the next day on a later flight. My only complaint (and it's a very minor one!) is the functionality of the site on which I book my appointments. It's not the most user-friendly. But I'm willing to deal with that small detail to get excellent service from Updog. I highly recommend them!

Our vet recommended Juliet and The Loyal Hound when our younger female Australian Shepherd began…read moreshowing some concerning behaviors, including deep growling at the vet, fence running, and resource guarding. We wanted to address the behavior early rather than let it become more established, so within about six weeks of it starting, we enrolled her in a board-and-train program. We ultimately decided to put both of our Aussies through separate programs: both females, one five years old and the other about a year and a half. The difference has been night and day. Both dogs now have reliable recall, walk calmly on leash, and for the first time, we feel genuinely confident having them off leash. They no longer react to wildlife or other dogs on hikes, the fence running and excessive barking have stopped, and they can calmly sit with us at outdoor cafes and other dog-friendly public spaces. The "place" command has been especially valuable. They can settle calmly for extended periods, which has been a true game changer both at home and when we're out with them. Most importantly, both dogs seem more confident because they understand what is expected of them. My husband and I are also much more consistent and aligned in how we communicate with them and provide the structure they need to be successful. We've enjoyed continuing to work with them every day and building on the foundation Juliet provided. The overall atmosphere in our home is noticeably calmer, more harmonious, and far less frustrating for both us and the dogs. Juliet has also continued to follow up and check in to make sure the dogs are doing well, which is something you don't always see once a training program is finished. It's a tangible sign that she genuinely cares about the dogs' long-term success, and it has reinforced for us that this was absolutely the right investment for our family.

Two of them are my problem children: a Rottweiler mix foster fail who is reactive to bikes and other dogs and occasionally nervous around people like visiting contractors or UPS men, and the other is a 100+ lb Brazilian mastiff rescue from Aruba who is not fond of other dogs. The two of them began showing increasingly worse dog aggression toward other dogs on the trail and while camping, and had attacked several dogs by the time I found Loyal Hound/Juliet. I was at my wit's end, because I had already spent thousands of dollars and tried everything including other trainers at that point with little to no progress. I felt stuck with 2 big problems for the next 6-8 years. I hike at least 3 miles every single day off leash on the trails by my house, and I love to camp with my dogs in the summer, but they became such a liability that walks became stressful and camping became impossible. I finally found Juliet with Loyal Hound, and for our very first session we met at a crowded park and were going to be doing off leash training right away. I was so nervous -- all the triggers were present: other people with dogs on leashes, dogs off leashes, people on bikes, squirrels -- so I was absolutely AMAZED when we were walking my Rottweiler off leash through a gaggle of geese, past people on bikes, and past other dogs within a few minutes with no problems. It was nothing short of a miracle. Within a few sessions, I had both of my dog aggressive dogs walking on and off leash next to me, passing other dogs (sometimes dogs that were even barking at them) on trails safely with no reactivity. I cannot explain in words how much of a difference this has made in my life -- I feel like I got my life back. If you have a dog aggressive dog, this is the place to go. Kevin's attention to detail really impressed me; particularly in the way of his forms to get started (e.g., what John Coffey liked, where are the cleaning supplies, etc). After each walk a report card is always completed telling me about the walk, temperament of the pup, etc. Kevin and his team caught concerning symptoms of John Coffey's declining health; the daily report card triggering a vet visit. The vet visit resulted in a cancer diagnosis. Rather quickly the tumor took John's life but I really appreciate the flexibility and understanding they had when walks needed to be canceled for vet visits. After two short months with Dawg Dad, John Coffey passed away from aggressive cancer. I'm so grateful to know he got that extra love and attention those last couple of months. Just a month later, when I got a puppy, Kevin was willing to transfer the unused walks to the new highly energetic puppy, Marley Bob. I consider myself somewhat of a helicopter pet mom as she is my first puppy. Kevin and his team have been very receptive to feedback. The report cards show the new dog walker really likes dogs, particularly Marley Bob's breed, Rottweiler. Nice pairing Kevin!
