The owner was too busy holding a table listening to the band then to help his person behind the bar. And lastly the place closed at 12 or 1 but the kitchen closed at 10. Much improvements need to be made in the service/staff and functionality of the room. You can't have one person behind the bar on the weekend. Especially if you're gonna have live music but no where to sit because the "VIP" section is blocking a lot of the room.

It just gave my husband and I an overall relaxed feeling. The decor was beautiful and it reminded me of some of the great jazz spots in Washington DC. Alice's to be particular. The fireplace was lit and the design choices were carefully crafted. The husband (owner) did a great job of orating the history of the location and the contributions his parents made to both the US military and the local Dentistry community here in northeast Ohio. While the wife (Owner/Chef) did a terrific job of informing us of how the food would be prepared and what flavours and notes were present in each dish and how they would compliment each other. From all perspectives (e.g., a warm, inviting dining room vibe, a thoughtful menu and carefully crafted cuisine and drink preparation - loved the octopus app and entrée options, the high touch yet non-intrusive service, etc.). Elle far surpassed our expectations and should be high up on your list of Cleveland 'go to' restaurants. Kudos to Chef Gio for an inspired menu (updated quarterly to capture the best of each season) and to the staff for providing a seamless, outstanding dining experience.
