French Dip Philly sandwich with chips

Came here Thursday evening after the Edgar Allan Poe speakeasy at SNPJ. The parking lot was packed, but we were able to get a seat right away. Our server Nick was attentive and gave us time to review the menu as it was our first time there. I got the breakfast burger and my husband got the Philly sandwich. The homemade pepper chips were amazing! The breakfast burger was super! I had half and took the other half home. My husband really enjoyed it for lunch the next day! Everything was very fresh! The inside was restaurant, bar deco. I can't believe we've never been here before, but will definitely come back! Highly recommend.

Such a great experience! Drinks were delicious and the food never disappoints. The Christmas decor was absolutely beautiful. I got the mushroom Swiss burger with the artichoke risotto. Both were amazing. My espresso martini was one of the best I've had ! The service is always top notch.

-Dressings are AMAZING! Tried the ranch, bleu cheese, honey mustard, and balsamic vinaigrette. They were all 10/10 -Mac n cheese was delish -Cobb salad came in a HUGE portion and was tasty, however it came with too much cheddar cheese -The water tastes like cardboard -Staff is very nice!

A very hearty Cuban sandwich with hand cut fries.

I've eaten here several times and have always found the food to be consistently delicious and plentiful. This generally a pretty busy place, not always the fastest service, but we've always been greeted with smiles and good attitudes. My latest visit was a late Saturday afternoon in early fall, so right in the middle of college football season. We had a 20-minute wait for a table and I regret we didn't sit on the patio while the weather was nice. The inside of the restaurant was very noisy and difficult to carry on a conversation. It seemed like we waited a long time for our food, too. A group of people that sat down after us were served first, but when our food did finally arrive about 10 minutes later, it was hot and tasty. Our server was attentive and always smiling, and that's always a bonus. Great food, solid, cheerful service. This is the best place to eat in Kirtland.

My favorite restaurant in the area! Whenever I come here, it's always a great experience. I usually stick to getting the same meal every time but this time the waitress convinced me to try the brisket grilled cheese, which did not disappoint. Always have to add a side of the mac and cheese. Will definitely be back!

The intention was to move the inventory around that was more convenient for the staff. That was a long time coming. The coolers were packed and never looked appealing. Not sure why our bartender had to ask about the change? We sat close to the door at the bar. Not sure where the occasional weed smell was coming from? It doesn't bother me, but others get offended by it. Maybe it's not good to have this odor while people are eating dinner? Does the staff look the other way on this? Not sure what our server's name was? We are not regulars. She seemed newer, but I did recognize the other. And when our server spoke loudly her voice was annoyingly squeaky, mini mouse like. She's where our problem begins. I ordered the hot dog special and asked if I could sub tater tots for fries. She said sure. When I received the check, I noticed a $3 upcharge for the tots and questioned it. Without even thinking about it she replied with this, "I told you there was a charge" and immediately disappeared from behind the bar. I asked my wife what she said when I gave my order. My wife's response was that she said "sure" and never said anything about an upcharge. She had all the signs of a habitual liar. No thought was put into her answer even though our initial conversation took place about 45 minutes earlier. Now to the restaurant. Fries and tater tots are the same price on the menu. The hot dog special comes with fries, so why is there a $3 upcharge? Fries are $7 and tots are $7. Again, why is there an upcharge when they are priced the same? The tots didn't come with Cleveland ketchup, so why? How many other customers are surprised by the $3 charge? Typically, hot dogs come with chopped onions, so I'm not sure why I had to pay .75 extra for a side of them? But I was also charged $1 for a side of mayo. Are you kidding me? A condiment has a price? It wasn't listed on your menu previously. I can't help but wonder. Since you guys claim to be a dive bar, wouldn't serving packets of mayo be more fitting? Now I know I could have taken all of this up with the owner, but a lying bartender would have defended herself and I wasn't in the mood. After thinking about this for a few days, I felt this was the best way to address it. When you nickel dime your customers, you are not a dive bar, you are cheap owners that only care about your finances and building more establishments. Now my only regret looking back was leaving about a 14% tip. I should not have left $3 and change. That way maybe the liar could think about the upcharge? Or is she even competent enough? Now on a previous evening, I ordered Cevapi. It wasn't very tasty and served on a pita. That isn't authentic Croation. I understand here in the USA, it might be acceptable. But when I can get it at Rose's in Eastlake on lipinja and the sausage has outstanding flavor, I think Crowley's could be a little more authentic to your heritage. Your heritage is displayed on the front of the building, isn't it? And your sausage did not have good flavor. Family of your ownership group asked me what I thought of the Cevapi. They didn't seem surprised when I told them and their response was that the sausage wasn't fresh, that's why the taste wasn't that good. Wait a minute, not fresh? Are you buying that much bulk that you can't provide fresh food for your customers? And the pita? Their was response to that was that some people serve it that way. I've been to the Eastlake Crowley's a few times and if you like biker bars with sleezy bar staff, that's the place for you. I went to Lake and that shouldn't be a good reason to support your businesses. I would be looking the other way. We have decided that we will never go back to any of your establishments in DTW, any of your so-called dive bars or your new venture in Irish cuisine. Irish? I wonder what will be authentic there?

I also asked for a lemon wedge, not a slice, since you can't squeeze a slice. Next came our espresso martinis, one for each of us. We actually felt the bang for our buck -- strong, well-balanced, and worth every penny. For our appetizer, we shared the gluten-free BBT meatballs. It was delightful. Then our Cobb salads arrived, each with shrimp added. We requested a side of extra-virgin olive oil -- not a blend -- and the kitchen got it right. For dessert, we shared the cheesecake, minus the graham cracker crust because my friend is gluten-free. I would have preferred the kitchen plate it for sharing and provide dessert silverware with it, instead of us having to flag someone down. I'm also industrial seed oil free, and Hailey was attentive to both of our dietary needs throughout. The manager, Chris Nichols, stopped by to check in and ensure we were satisfied -- a clear sign the restaurant is customer centric. I actually thought Chris was the GM. Kudos to the general manager, Ben Lano, for inspiring great teamwork. Lastly, I give the ambience four stars, simply because we don't have a Michelin-starred restaurant in Ohio.

To keep it brief, the service was great, and the food was incredible. To call what I ate a "corned beef sandwich" is to do it a grave injustice - I think it might be the best corned beef I've ever eaten. My Irish ancestors came to me in a vision immediately afterward and told me to write this review, so here I am. My wife had the Carboholic, which is an absurd indulgence made of an eight inch hot dog, a three-cheese baked mac and cheese, fresh bacon, and smoked brisket. She gave me a bite and I was shocked by how well everything went together, but moreso that it managed to not be a totally greasy gut-buster, but an actual well-balanced plate. At one point during our meal, a person I assume to be the proprietor came out and asked how our food was. I learned then that the delicious corned beef I was eating was not boiled, but was slow-roasted for nine hours. Nine hours! They went so far above and beyond for us that when they overheard that we don't have any furniture yet, they handed us a nice chair that someone had left at the restaurant and wished us well. We will take turns sitting in our new chair while we eat our leftovers - don't be fooled by the prices; this is easily a two-stage meal. tl;dr: Great vibes, absurdly good food. Definitely my favorite meal I've had to date in Ohio. You owe it to yourself to try it at least once.
