The drinks are well made, the bartenders are friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe makes it easy to stay longer than you planned. It's a great spot whether you're going out for a casual night or meeting friends for something a little different from the usual bar scene. What really stands out is the personality of the place. It feels cozy, well put together, and genuinely enjoyable. We've had consistently good experiences and would absolutely recommend giving The Earl a try if you're in New Albany.

If this place were called "Steve's" or something and had more mundane lighting, I'd wrap my head around it more easily. The bar itself runs down the center of the single room with some four-ups against the wall. Each time, drinks are poured into plastic cups. Prices seem reasonable but portions are smaller than you'll get elsewhere. There's a few on draft, some alright cocktails and a limited food menu. I opted for the pretzel bread and pimento spread and was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the freshness, texture, and taste! Music selections fluctuate both genres and volumes. Clientele is pretty relaxed. Its a go-to spot after 10 p.m.

It's very low lit and romantic and very atmospheric downstairs and I love that. They've also added several vintage TVs that you can play a variety of video games on (including Xbox) and they've got a tv playing the rugrats movie apparently too hahaha. I like that aspect. Just wish they would add a few more arcade games down there. Including Galaga and Joust (which they also removed). They have a tabletop version of Galaga but it was broke... speaking of broke a couple other games didn't work either. The dig dug stick got stuck a couple times. But most of the games worked fine . I got one draft beer that was 7 dollars - overpriced in my opinion but decent tasting. It's still a super fun place to visit. Drink, have fun, chill out, eat. It's novel atmosphere very welcoming and colorful and enjoyable. Exactly the wholesome kind of spot for young and old alike.

They came out hot and delicious. I was expecting more than just ketchup as a topping, but they were still good. The fries were terribly warm, but they were good. We we greeted as we came in by Mary Beth who was the mixologist of the day. We were self seated at the bar to get first hand experience. Menus were given to us, certain items were pointed out as favorites and drink order was placed. We ordered the chicken sliders and the Knocker Burger which is one of the original burgers from the original Tavern in Louisville. Octoberfest was ordered along with a Diet Coke/bourbon. The Octoberfest was good, however there was a little twist of berry hint to it. I asked about it and was explained that the prior pour was a blueberry drink and the flavor was still infused in the lines after flushing. Kayla was the manager and she was concocting some new drink creations for the upcoming widow walk. People go from place to place ( similar to a pub crawl ). They were taste testing to have a go to drink for the themed walk. They are also gearing up for Harvest Homecoming. Our food was delivered nice and fresh. The sliders were very good. The burger was tasty and filling; so only ate 1/2. The fries were really good and nicely salted, not too much or too little. All in all a nice establishment to visit. Might have to check out the widow walk when time comes around.
