Super cool place! We've been wanting to check it out, but it took a bit since they have limited hours. GPS takes you to a back lot but when you walk to the door, they have very clear directions on how to get to their location on the other side of the building. It's a little weird walking through the building but then you get to this cool vault-like door to enter. It's small, but I love the vibe. The owner greeted us and gave us the low down on his spirits. You can tell he truly enjoys talking about what he's been doing and his future plans. I LOVE that they have a small flight of their top drinks, which includes one from each type of liquor he makes. We stopped in on our way to dinner, otherwise we would've stayed for another drink. The owner let us try a little taste of the gin (we are not gin drinkers) and it was FANTASTIC! We ended up buying a bottle! Mozzy sticks were just ok, but I enjoy that they do offer some small bites. There are several options we are looking forward to trying on our next stop in. They have expanded to some Friday hours. Check them out and support your local establishments!

Went to Distillery 64 about 6:30 on Saturday night. I am torn as to whether post this because it was so good but don't want it be so crowded as to not get in. There were only a few people but the bartender, Larry, said that the crowd depends on the day. They can only handle about 25 people and people have waited in their car until they can get in. Anyway, the place is quaint and really nice. We wanted to try a lot of the craft cocktails so we started with the Dragon fruit cosmo, (my son's favorite), the flight of four of the most popular cocktails, and an old fashioned. All were very good. We had a bag of sweet nuts, an order of spring rolls and chips with salsa. Food was also very good. We then went on to try the Grand Royal clover (a key lime type cocktail), a drunken nog, and a hot toddy. The hot toddy was very good, as were the other two. We finished with the Campfire ( a s'more type drink) and a Holy Cacao. They were a great way to finish. Larry and Noah told us the history of the distillery and were very friendly. We will return as much as possible. They are only open Friday and Saturdays from 5-11. Look for special Christmas drinks soon.

Great hidden gem for cocktails. Quiet and comfortable. No food which worked for us since we just had dinner.

The drinks are well made, the bartenders are friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe makes it easy to stay longer than you planned. It's a great spot whether you're going out for a casual night or meeting friends for something a little different from the usual bar scene. What really stands out is the personality of the place. It feels cozy, well put together, and genuinely enjoyable. We've had consistently good experiences and would absolutely recommend giving The Earl a try if you're in New Albany.

If this place were called "Steve's" or something and had more mundane lighting, I'd wrap my head around it more easily. The bar itself runs down the center of the single room with some four-ups against the wall. Each time, drinks are poured into plastic cups. Prices seem reasonable but portions are smaller than you'll get elsewhere. There's a few on draft, some alright cocktails and a limited food menu. I opted for the pretzel bread and pimento spread and was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the freshness, texture, and taste! Music selections fluctuate both genres and volumes. Clientele is pretty relaxed. Its a go-to spot after 10 p.m.

However casual dress was welcome. My wife and I both got free deserts. Lava Cake and cheesecake. Both were delicious. My wife had a filet mignon which very tender. She got the Brussels sprouts and she reported they were good, but could have been sautéed a little longer. I had the NY strip, medium rare. I was very good, with nice seasoning. I had au gratin potatoes, they were so creamy and delicious! All the stars for this place. Please check it out! We'll be back, it's in our back yard!

The new owners did not fix one of the major drawbacks of the space, however, and it is just as loud as Toast was. Sound baffling would help, but it wouldn't have made my experience all that much better. We were seated at a table in the back. Despite our fairly early reservation, we were next to an 8-person table that, when filled, got noisy. The velvet cushioned seats were nice. Booths looked good as well. Lighting is low and intimate. Drinks were meh. I wasn't impressed. I tried two and both were single note without much sophistication. The menu looked interesting, but I wasn't impressed with the execution. My scallops had good flavor but were overcooked and very soft. The braised short rib was good but it sat on a bed of spaghetti that was cut up; like you would for a child. The service was hit and miss. At times, our server seemed to be actively ignoring us to the point where one of our quartet jokingly asked if one of us had dated them and it had ended badly. The Fair is expanding, which is great, and I wish them the best, but a rating of "fair" is about all I could give my visit.

She was very friendly and was not hesitant to make jokes to keep the good vibes! The restaurant opens the side doors to let fresh air in on a sunny day which is amazing if you don't want to sweat in the sun but still want to feel a nice breeze. The sliders were amazing, the chicken was not dry which is common in bar food places. The concept of every bread being rolls gives the hot dog an extra security when picking it up. Really excited to go back when the days are warmer and can enjoy the patio section!

The sunny side egg on the burger was really juicy and the Hawaiian Rolls made for an excellent bun. Even with all of the toppings (lettuce, red onion, white cheddar cheese, bacon, fried green tomatoes, a sunny side up egg and miso ranch) the flavor of the burger still shined through and was delicious! We also got the Hot Fries. The burger was delicious but the hot fries were my favorite part!! They were hot, crispy, and had so much flavor! I love hot things and loved the heat - I can see where they could be considered pretty hot to some an the heat does build if you eat several in a row but again I love this flavor profile. We also got the slaw to help balance the heat of the fries if needed. We got the order to go for lunch. We were impressed by the to go packaging. The bag is really sturdy and really fun! It may sound silly but their take out packing is by far my favorite I have ever seen! We plan on coming back to try some of their other food in the future and look forward to dining in and trying one of their several beers. The atmosphere looks really fun and inviting and everyone was very friendly.
