I really liked: Mango Sweet and Spicy…read more Sweet and Spicy I liked: Korean BBQ Turkey The jerky here is super easy to eat. Not tough or overly chewy like some spots. It's tender and flavorful without feeling like you're fighting it the whole time. The Mango Sweet and Spicy is a little sweeter than the regular Sweet and Spicy, but still has that nice kick on the back end. If you like a bit more sweetness in your snack, that's the move. The regular Sweet and Spicy is balanced and solid all around. The Korean BBQ Turkey is really on the money flavor wise. Savory, slightly sweet, and super satisfying. Staff was great about offering samples and helping recommend different options to try, which made it easy to find what I liked. It is on the expensive side and you don't get a huge amount for the price, but it is tasty and high quality. It's a small shop inside of Eddie's World and is a no frills place.

EddieWorld is typically buzzing with road trippers, families, and Vegas bound drivers. Jedidiah's Jerky is located inside Eddie World on Interstate 15 at Yermo. It's a must visit if you like jerky. One of the team members helped us select a few different flavors. The Jerky that Jedidiah's has is made by hand. It offers many different types of meat and flavor options including Beef (Classic), Brisket (Classic), Turkey, Buffalo, Venison, Wild Boar. Most of these options will be available for purchase by weight or prepackaged and offer bold, sweet, spicy and savory options so there is something for everyone to enjoy. It's expensive, but worth it! All of the jerky was delicious and it lasted us several days. A lot of unique flavors to choose from and the store has so many creative options. The team member assist us during the evening was fantastic! This is a great spot to stop by if you're on the way to California or Las Vegas!

I had picked up a sheet with information on old Daggett from the Route 66 Museum in Barstow. Here's the short version. The original store burnt down in the Daggett fire of 1908. (the nearby buildings were also destroyed as well) But they rebuilt this place, and this became the first 'fire proof' building in the Mojave Desert. Fire proof due to the fact that the whole thing was re-built using a railroad carload of cement. (The roof too!) Back in the day, the place was one of few that exchanged gold dust and nuggets for cash that miners could spend. Later, in 1953, a safecracker got away with $1000.00 in gold dust and nuggets. But ya. Back over Columbus day weekend in 2017. I stopped in front of the place because it looked old. Then I read the paper and discovered it was actually old. Then I went in to buy a soda because it was kinda warm out. The guy behind the register was nice. The soda was cold. Boom. That's about how a convenience store run should be.

Upon entering the store the owner Joe made me feel comfortable with his warm greeting of welcome. For a small business they have good services and upon request will stock special items, such as favorite drinks or candy and snacks. You can rent a U-haul or car dolly. Pay your utility bill, send and receive money. Send small packages and even cash checks. So I suggest the next time your passing thru Daggett stop by Desert Market and say hello to Joe, Mic and Beckey. Dortha,

4 minutes ago New…read moreExtremely Disappointed with How This Limited-Edition Starbucks Release Was Handled My friends and I arrived at the Starbucks inside Vons in Big Bear Lake at approximately 3:30 a.m. to purchase one of the limited-edition Bearista cups. Along with us, there were three other customers who had also arrived early because we knew these cups were in high demand. Around 6:30 a.m., a store supervisor came out and suggested that we should probably leave because they hadn't received the shipment. We were also told there were no Starbucks employees available because they had called out sick, and that the Starbucks kiosk would not be able to open until around 8:30 a.m. when open time is 6am. As the morning went on, we received several different explanations from different employees. We were told the shipment never arrived, then that no one knew where the cups were, and later that they couldn't access the area where the shipment might have been. Around 7:00 a.m., the store manager, Sarah, arrived. She took our names and phone numbers and told us she would call if the cups were located or if there was any update. Unfortunately, none of us ever received a call. Later that afternoon, I called the store myself and was simply told that they had not received the shipment. That response didn't match some of the information we had been given earlier that morning, which made the entire situation even more confusing and frustrating. What disappointed us the most wasn't just missing out on the cups--it was the lack of clear communication and follow-through after we had spent several hours waiting before sunrise. Customers who take the time to line up for a limited-edition release deserve accurate, consistent information and timely updates. I also contacted Starbucks Customer Service to report what happened. They expressed concern that the Starbucks kiosk was not operating during the release and told me my concerns would be forwarded to the district manager for follow-up. I sincerely hope Vons and Starbucks review what happened, improve communication between store management and the Starbucks kiosk, and ensure future limited-edition releases are handled in a way that respects customers' time and trust. Note: was in touch with another women who was in line this morning and she said she was told after speaking to someone in the store that the box was received but lost... These things were handled poorly Von's Management!
