I really liked: Mango Sweet and Spicy…read more Sweet and Spicy I liked: Korean BBQ Turkey The jerky here is super easy to eat. Not tough or overly chewy like some spots. It's tender and flavorful without feeling like you're fighting it the whole time. The Mango Sweet and Spicy is a little sweeter than the regular Sweet and Spicy, but still has that nice kick on the back end. If you like a bit more sweetness in your snack, that's the move. The regular Sweet and Spicy is balanced and solid all around. The Korean BBQ Turkey is really on the money flavor wise. Savory, slightly sweet, and super satisfying. Staff was great about offering samples and helping recommend different options to try, which made it easy to find what I liked. It is on the expensive side and you don't get a huge amount for the price, but it is tasty and high quality. It's a small shop inside of Eddie's World and is a no frills place.

EddieWorld is typically buzzing with road trippers, families, and Vegas bound drivers. Jedidiah's Jerky is located inside Eddie World on Interstate 15 at Yermo. It's a must visit if you like jerky. One of the team members helped us select a few different flavors. The Jerky that Jedidiah's has is made by hand. It offers many different types of meat and flavor options including Beef (Classic), Brisket (Classic), Turkey, Buffalo, Venison, Wild Boar. Most of these options will be available for purchase by weight or prepackaged and offer bold, sweet, spicy and savory options so there is something for everyone to enjoy. It's expensive, but worth it! All of the jerky was delicious and it lasted us several days. A lot of unique flavors to choose from and the store has so many creative options. The team member assist us during the evening was fantastic! This is a great spot to stop by if you're on the way to California or Las Vegas!

Jedidiah's Jerky - Crazy over charges on the ghost pepper beef jerky. The person working was slightly rude and seem irritated to be there. Annoying.

To be honest, this place reminded me a lot of the 100 year old liquor store I once visited in…read moreUpland. I had picked up a sheet with information on old Daggett from the Route 66 Museum in Barstow. Here's the short version. The original store burnt down in the Daggett fire of 1908. (the nearby buildings were also destroyed as well) But they rebuilt this place, and this became the first 'fire proof' building in the Mojave Desert. Fire proof due to the fact that the whole thing was re-built using a railroad carload of cement. (The roof too!) Back in the day, the place was one of few that exchanged gold dust and nuggets for cash that miners could spend. Later, in 1953, a safecracker got away with $1000.00 in gold dust and nuggets. But ya. Back over Columbus day weekend in 2017. I stopped in front of the place because it looked old. Then I read the paper and discovered it was actually old. Then I went in to buy a soda because it was kinda warm out. The guy behind the register was nice. The soda was cold. Boom. That's about how a convenience store run should be.

Upon entering the store the owner Joe made me feel comfortable with his warm greeting of welcome. For a small business they have good services and upon request will stock special items, such as favorite drinks or candy and snacks. You can rent a U-haul or car dolly. Pay your utility bill, send and receive money. Send small packages and even cash checks. So I suggest the next time your passing thru Daggett stop by Desert Market and say hello to Joe, Mic and Beckey. Dortha,
