The bathroom is dirty seem like they don't really clean it like how they should . The food price is okay something is more expensive compared to other store around the area . I go there a lot and always seem to have no problem with the cashiers before all the other one was very helpful and take their time to help the customers. Stopped at this Food 4 Less on our way to Las Vegas. It's in a small shopping center in Barstow. Great pit stop for a bathroom run after a long ride. Bathroom was clean and was easy to access. The store is well organized and very clean. Aisle were very spacey with everything in its place. Bakery department offered so many freshly baked goods. I purchased a raspberry jelly roll. Ooooh so delicious. ...I haven't had one of those in years. Prices were great and and groceries clerks were friendly. This grocery store was a nice surprise on a long trip to Las Vegas and I highly recommend it. Food4Less is one of those national warehouse grocery chains (currently owned by Kroger) that offers great value to attract its typically lower income customers (think Old Navy brand of the larger GAP family of companies, except for groceries). Their weekly promotions are usually very good, the rest you will have to use your judgement. You will pay less here for items, but paying less does not always mean getting the best value, as quality is often sacrificed for the lower retail pricing. Just something to be mindful of. This location is right off the freeway, near a residential area (although at night the street right by this location seems like not the safest area - no street lamp, occasionally bands of kids roaming around way after curfew). What I like about this location is the fuel station. The gas station is kept clean and very well lit at night near the gas pumps. When driving from SoCal to Las Vegas and back, it is one of the cheapest spot to make a refueling stop (per research on GasBuddy) for me on the California side. Obviously gas is much cheaper in Nevada on average compared to California, but the trick is to get enough gas to make it to Las Vegas and tank up there before coming back from your Sin City road trip. Usually there are no other cars by the time I make it here on a typical road trip (10pm - 1am weekdays), so I don't have to feel like I have to rush while cleaning the windshield of any unfortunate bugs that ended their brief existence by successfully reenacting the opening scene from MIB on my windshield. This review is on the gas station only. We stopped by on our drive back to Vegas from Cali since I noticed they had one of the lowest advertised prices along the freeway. In fact it was only about 10 cents more expensive than prices in Vegas on the same day! Since I shop at Smith's regularly, and Food 4 Less is part of the same Kroger family, I attempted to use my fuel reward points at the pump. When it only discounted 10 cents, I figured there was a mistake since I had more points than that. Well apparently Food 4 Less only allows you redeem a maximum of 100 points (10 cent fuel discount) per transaction. Kinda sucks if you shop here a lot...what happens if you have hundreds of reward points available? Are you expected to burn that gas in order to refuel and use up your points before they expire next month? The gas station is surprisingly clean and not very crowded, considering that they advertise their fuel prices on the side of I-15. I will likely be back the next time I drive to and from SoCal. read more

Perfect place to stop for gas during our road trip from Vegas to Newport Beach. Used the app "gas buddy" to find the lowest price for premium gas in Barstow and the gas station here didn't disappoint. It's not a full gas station, just a window with a person who can ring you up, I think you can buy snacks and other things too. Very busy but I only had to wait a few minutes to get to a pump. Came again on our way back because it is 24 hours thankfully! Only disappointment was that their windshield cleaner thingies are not out at night. read more

I am done shopping here you can't use the bathroom it's all blocked off. They say it prevents theft, but don't care if your in a wheel chair or scooter it's a violation to disabled people. They don't keep up with produce I've seen molded fruits and vegetables. I've seen other products on the shelves opened and left. My son reached up in the gum section got someone's chewed gum on his hands. I've complained to the corporate office nothing got done. If I ever step back in there I'm recording what I see and sending it in, than maybe corporate will do something. In looking for a gas station which would be easy to get on and off the interstate, we decided to go here. This was an easy station to find, as soon as you look around the tank sitting on the corner (yes, an actual tank). We were able to find many available pump even through it was very busy here. We pulled up and paid our money at the station and began pumping, that was quick and easy. The station is well lit and very accessible. We know that were are part of any time that are questionable, but if you do what you need to do and move on everybody generally leaves you alone. We were able to get gas and back on our way in less that 10 minutes, again easy to get back on the interstate heading home from a wonderful vacation. Not a very good place to shop at some deals are pretty good as far as food prices go other than that I can't name any more positive things about this. They have a few good deals every so often for food that about sums up the positive side of things. Other than that the area is horrible it's a very bad location I would only go there during the morning time when all the sketchy people in that neighborhood are still asleep (seriously). HOWEVER :: Along with lower prices, comes equally lower quality. Produce isn't fresh. Expiration dates must be carefully checked, because items sit on shelves too long. Has a great selection of fresh produce, frozen foods, has fresh bread and cakes from the bakery along with a few deli meats. Through heads up this place doesn't have a deli. Lines are always so long with no registers opened. The bakery workers have to be some of the rudest people you could meet. I called to ask about a price on cupcakes nothing fantastic just cupcake prices for 36 and was told I need to come in. They did the same about a cake I wanted ordered told me they can't give me a set price of a 1/4 sheet cake. Then you go inside and they act like you are asking for too much.
