Tiger Dumplings' Lunch Combo to go - Lamb Dumpling, side salad, and miso soup
Staci S.

I came back again for Tiger Dumplings' Lunch Combo - my choice of Lamb Dumpling, side salad, and miso soup. This time I ordered it for pickup. It was done quickly although the pickup area is on the other side of the food hall. I appreciate that it's packaged in an insulated bag along with all the utensils you would need. Everything tasted good as usual. The food hall is always clean and there was seating at both the tables (indoor and outdoor) as well as at the counter.

Photos don't really do the food justice... I've been for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's never incredibly crowded, staff members are always efficient, and the food is consistently hot and generously portioned. Stopped by on Saturday right before 11am (when breakfast ends) for a latte, coffee, breakfast sandwich, burrito, and tots. $30? It's a steal. The food is hot and fresh. Lightning coffee staff could be friendlier (or offer the ceramic mugs when you specially say you're staying here...) butttt the coffee is great and affordable compared to nearby alternatives. I love the option to use the QR code at your table or head to the kiosk. They have SO many seating options. And the cold water tap - sparkling or flat - is a massive perk. I think they had a bit of a rough start but now this spot is certainly underrated.

What a great food hall! Stumbled upon this en route to the metro and I'm so glad I did! You can sit anywhere and scan the QR code to order from any place and they'll deliver it to where you're sitting. This was perfect for our group, as each of us were craving different things. We sat at the bar and had some tasty cocktails while we waited for our food to arrive. The burger was so good I didn't take a picture (I was hungrier than the phone this time so it didn't eat first LOL). The servings were shareable honestly and I would definitely go back!

I'm a fan of food halls but this one needs a bit more variety. They have a couple of vendors making a handful of dishes but nothing really stood out, at least not in the 30-45 mins I spent going through the menus. I went with some of the apps from the pizza place - 2 small arancini for $9 on the happy hour menu and the meatball appetizer. Not bad, but not great either. The QR codes at the table make ordering easy and I appreciated the water stations with full size cups. The patio is also very nice. It's a great space overall, it's just the food that falls short.

I feel like food halls are the next best thing in urban cities. Compared to other food halls, however, I was left disappointed. The food options here were just okay... can't say much beyond the food quality was just alright. I will say the service was extremely fast - I think I got my drink 10 seconds upon ordering. While each food establishment tries its best to shine among their counterparts, it's hard to take notice how when the crowds aren't there, there's no incentive to try any of these businesses. I will probably return back due to the proximity of corporate offices, but I would not go for personal reasons

One of the better food courts I've been to. We live above a newly opened Wonder and that place is a disaster. I only recently visited Upside and was pretty impressed by how cozy and clean the seating areas were. On top of that, there's a Tony Baloney's! I lived near Hoboken NJ for a while and this was all the rave during Covid with all the innovative dish items they came up with. The oui oui is the best cheesesteak we've ever had in our lives - and this is after we just got back from a quick Philly trip. The French onion flavor was absolutely spectacular. The bar inside is a nice touch. We sat there while having our cheesesteak and some mutz sticks. There was a birthday party being set up (for an adult) which was tacky ah. It ruins the mood for everyone else. At least do it in the very back. I'll be back for the dumplings - we usually get them delivered from the same place but from their main restaurant (also in Arlington). What a nice option to have for those days when we just want to pig out while dressed as hobos. I'll be bringing our fur baby here soon - since the outdoor seating area is pretty awesome too. Edit: as per the business' comment- only service animals are allowed. Lucky for us, ours is an actual service dog (not an ESA). Thanks for the reminder!

Love this little food court! They've got great variety and wonderful interior. VERY clean and well kept. Free water is available, very kind service workers bring to the table. Ordering is extra easy because they have QR codes on all the tables.

My son and I went to celebrate Chinese New Year with Little Tiger Dumpling and it was amazing! I loved the service from each small eatery there. The performance was spectacular and I'm excited I got to take my youngest with me who enjoys Asian culture. My son received lots of red envelopes with some goodies. We recently went back to use some of the gift cards. Now back to Little Tiger Dumpling the food was sooo great I spent a lot of money ! I also went to the bar and got a drink which was ok. I didn't really want it but wanted to support. I did recently visit and got a mocktail and it was good. While visiting they had small business in a room where they were selling amazing items. I forgot the name of the business I got a brownie from but it was tooooooo good. During our recently visit at upside on Moore we discovered that they had a rooftop and the views are amazing. We set watching the planes fly over the tall buildings and just people watching from the roof! I love this place!

A fully renovated and revitalized food court that's more airy and modern than the sad old Rosslyn mall. We came here for the night market, lion dance, and the grand opening of Little Tiger Dumplings. We also bought chocolate at a stand in the "night market" (a small room consisting of 6 stalls mostly selling crafts). You scan the QR code on the table and they deliver food to the table. Very efficient. You can also eat at the counter and watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen. The scallion pancakes are the highlight of the Little Tiger Dumplings. Nicely presented on a plat that was leaf shaped. Thin and crispy. Love the pink pickled radish on the side. Their Teibei pork chop noodle which was delicious. Their dumplings are as tender as well! They have a small menu of Taiwanese bubble teas. Nice touch. Chocolates from Just Ron Chocolate were very unique: among the flavors were yuzu, blueberry and herb. Majestic lion dance and really fun. It was fully interactive (see my photos).

Good spot in Arlington to use the free wifi, work on your laptop, and try all the diverse food options! The service was really good and my water was always full. I got the margarita pizza and dollar oysters. The ambiance was "panera bread" vibes I guess, there were lots of different seating options and I was comfortable. There were multiple other restaurants inside that I really wanted to try but I can only eat so much, lol next time!

Upside on Moore is a good spot for groups, which is often why I come here with coworkers. They have QR codes which is good for group orders. Tables are plentiful, and the menu has a lot of options given the various restaurants. Food quality and timing depends on the restaurant you order from so keep that in mind.

We ordered the tomato and pepper choka bara, hamachi crudo, smoked chargrilled chicken, fire grilled branzino, and mocha Smith Island cake. To drink, I had the Old Money and Fancy Pants. I was most looking forward to the chicken and it was inedible. Absolutely dry and flavorless. I was shocked. Hamachi was also a bit disappointing. Everything else was delicious. I enjoyed my drinks. The bara is addictive. The snapper was perfect and I love chado beni, so the chimichurri was awesome. The mocha Smith Island cake was my favorite. I already love this cake and the espresso ice cream made it fantastic. I'd return to Isla, hoping that kitchen issues are resolved.

Although they do not validate, there is a spacious parking garage on the lower level. I arrived here a little earlier than my party so I sat at the bar and ordered the passion project. I believe the cocktail prices are pretty standard for DC ($20+). I was not impressed by my cocktail or interested in having another one. Thankfully, my bartender didn't bother to ask if I wanted another one - just handed me my bill and sent me on my way. I'm a spicy marg fan, but something about this drink was too adjacent to a savory spicy dish. At the price point for the dishes, I was expecting to be blown away, but most dishes were just ok to me. The stars of the show were the oxtail patties, fried snapper, and brussel sprouts. The pepper sauce that came with the oxtail patties was delishhhh. The fried snapper was unique in that it was already picked off the bone for you which made eating it way easier. The lamb chops were cool, nothing to call home about. Branzino was not memorable. The restaurant and decor is beautiful! It was quite noisy in there which made it hard to have conversations at the table. The service was quite lackluster (no one to refill water, no one to check on the meal after receiving it, took a while to get our order in, no knife to cut my lamb chops, no offer of dessert, took a while to close out our check) which is annoying when there is auto gratuity built into the bill. For food alone, I'd give the restaurant a 4, but the poor service brings this review to a 3. I hope I get to try it again in the future to leave a better review.

Of course my friend is a member and if I'm lucky, someday I will be too. It started off as I walked up the sidewalk and approached the club, the doorman was standing on the sidewalk. As I got closer, the doorman greeted me by name! I was taken a back for a minute wondering how could he possibly know my name! I was escorted in and asked to wait in the main reception while they went to get my friend. I went into what they refer to as the "Correspondence Lounge" which is sort of a small library with some incredibly old literary works. They have very strict rules and one of surprise is no use of cell phones... period. How refreshing! You can go into the Correspondence Lounge if you need to use your phone but otherwise you cannot use while in the dining room or other public areas. So make sure you "check-in" on Yelp when you are outside. Naturally they have a dress code, but really, if you have to ask what the dress code is, you probably aren't going to this place. Another rule I was surprised is they try to keep business limited so you cannot bring out a bunch of papers, laptop, etc... The only papers you can hold would have to be a newspaper or a book. Once seated, the service is impeccable. Extremely polite and not overbearing. They knew when we were engrossed in conversation and didn't interrupt. I had the lump crab cake for dinner and it was without a doubt the BEST! I lived in Virginia for five years and went to college at George Washington so I'm quite familiar with East Coast seafood and I can honestly say the lump crab at the Metropolitan Club is the BEST! Something in my female DNA might be defective or something because I've never dreamed of my wedding day and how wonderful and romantic it would be. I never thought of it at all. Until my heart was captured by my now husband. My hubs is the romantic one in our relationship. I'm the practical one. I've attended many lovely weddings over the years and completely respect that choices about weddings are intensely personal. To me the money spent on a big lavish wedding could be put to better use elsewhere, such as a new car or down payment on a home. So I was all like "hey, we'll go down to the courthouse and do this thing! I can get on your health insurance! And we can both go back to work afterwards." Hubs, who possesses good sense, said "no way". This was his 2nd marriage and it was important that his young son be a part of the ceremony. He was absolutely right on that point, the kid stays in the picture. But I still didn't want a whole wedding hoo-ha experience. I wasn't going to get sucked into the Wedding Industrial Complex, with its ice sculptures, junior bridesmaids, rehearsal dinners, and custom printed cocktail napkins with our names and the wedding date "Find someone to marry us," I ordered. The hubs found our wonderful wedding officiant, Jodi Arbor Johnson of Waterfront Wedding Services. Jodi was immediately responsive, letting us know her available dates, sample vows and the required procedures in Virginia to get married. Because we were doing this on a budget of nil, we asked Jodi for suggestions or free parks or other areas where we could do the ceremony. She suggested some excellent options, we checked them all out, and fell in love with a small, quirky sculpture garden in Tide Lock Park on the waterfront in Old Town. Mother Nature granted us the most exquisite weather possible on our wedding day. Jodi was there on time and ready to go! I really thought I might faint or something because I was so Totally Freaked Out About Getting Married, but Jodi's high energy and warm likeability immediately eased my nerves. Instead of being nervous I laughed my way through the ceremony. It was fun - and having fun took nothing away from the solemnity or seriousness with which I took my vows. Our ceremony was non-religious and informal, but Jodi does larger weddings and can officiate weddings in VA, DC, & MD. My daughter and I visited in 2015, 2019 and again last Spring 2023 took a tour of the downstairs…read moreonly. In 2019 a 200+ pound replica of the White House by former Executive WH pastry chef Roland Mesnier was on display. A photo of the Gingerbread house has been attached to this review. The unassuming brick home sets across from the WH. The house happens to be the oldest private residence in DC at almost 200 years young. Came here for a after-hours party so to be honest, this is more of a review about that party than…read moreit is about the house itself. The party occurred in what I assume to be the courtyard; it was covered (though the weather was nice out for March), with beautiful lighting. But crazily enough, the space was HUGE. Absolutely gorgeous. If you're looking to host a large party, I 100% recommend this location. The set-up was fantastic. I have NO clue where the food came from, but whoever catered was phenomenal (I had the best cheesecake bites I have EVER let my tastebuds experience). While waiting 45 min for this lyft to arrive, I decided to venture around the house (with the guide). The house itself is pretty bare, but I love it's simplicity. It was of course quiet, though you could hear the faint sounds of the party outside. I completely forgot that we were SO close to the white house, could have gone for a night stroll, but didn't. Overall, this was a fun experience and I am glad I got to enjoy it in such a way.
