    Lamb Hibachi

Straight up NO! Don't waste your money. Overpriced and BLAND. Small portions Everything is a la carte. What me & my coworkers wasted our money on: -Wasted $33 on mushy hibachi rice, unseasoned 2 SMALL unseasoned lamb chops, and mixed veggies. They must not know the difference between broccoli and broccolini cause they gave uncooked broccoli. -Wasted $26 on Cajun Alfredo with 4 small shrimp and uncooked dirty spinach. -Wasted $26 on Salmon Hibachi for unseasoned salmon and mushy rice. -Wasted $9 on quesadillas that had was BLAND In this economy you can't be charging food this HIGH for bland nasty food Do yourself a favor and go to the Cheesecake Factory down the road. Same price I can get a decent entree and cheesecake.

Finally got around to trying this place! This is a quick dining hibachi restaurant, I love the concept! When you walk in, it's a big empty space with some tables on each side. We walked in and honestly weren't sure they were even open, about 3 or 4 minutes of us standing there. Someone finally came to greet us and took out order. I ordered the lamb hibachi with noodles and added mushrooms and onions to it. We also ordered a steak hibachi with noodles and no extra veggies. We also got 2 bottled pops since there were no fountain drinks. Our total was $77 which is pretty expensive for a random week day dinner for two. The food took about 20 minutes to be prepared. I will say the lamb was cooked and seasoned incredibly, some of the best lamb I've ever had, and the lamb chops were huge! The noodles, however, were extremely salty, hardly edible. Overall, I haven't decided if I would be back or not due to the price. It's a hard choice when the lamb was so good and I get lamb in general is expensive, but I can't stomach $77 for quick dining.

From the outside, the building doesn't exactly scream "5-star seafood" -- I think it may have been an old Pizza Hut -- but don't let that fool you. Inside, it's cute, a little kitschy, and most importantly, clean!! There wasn't any type of fishy smell at all! The husband-and-wife owners are absolutely working their tails off, and it shows. The service was warm, attentive, and truly top-notch. You can feel how much pride they take in what they do. We each ordered crab boils and didn't leave a single thing in the bag -- every bite was incredible! Some of the most delicious seafood I've ever had. I almost hesitate to share this hidden gem because I selfishly want it all to myself, but they deserve every bit of recognition. We can't wait to go back and are definitely adding this spot into our regular restaurant rotation!

For our appetizer we ordered Firecracker shrimp, Fried green tomatoes, and Sweet potato muffins. We also had the complimentary corn bread. The appetizers and sweet potatoes muffins were delicious. The cornbread was dense and okay. For our main course we ordered turkey chops, and they came with two sides. We chose mac and cheese and red beans and rice. The turkey chops were ok but the sides were trash. The red beans and rice were (see picture) dry and the macaroni and cheese (see pictures) as well. The mac and cheese was cheeseless. We also ordered the catfish dinner with okra and yams. The yams were delicious and the okra was okay. The catfish skin was dark like old oil was used. It appeared to be cornmeal fried and hard. I should have specified how I wanted them. We also order the waffle and the chickens and there were no complaints. Honestly, we've been to Cornbread many times. Previously, I've always given 5 stars and haven't ever had any complaints but something drastically changed. The drinks as well didn't taste the same and we were told that the bartender was new. We didn't want to complain or send our food back due to our past experiences at other restaurants but we did take pictures. The service was great. But honestly, I do not believe that we will ever return.
