Only positive experiences at this UPS location. Ive been to this location numerous times and actually plan on going tomorrow to pick up yet another package. Being able to have all of my UPS shipments held at this location so I could go and pick it up is convenient for me especially if its a valuable shipment. I also mostly rather have my shipments held here because what happens often (verified by a few drivers) is that the tracking update will say something like attempted delivery and it'll be rescheduled for another day when I was clearly home all day in the first place. Now I could cut all that down and just go the UPS facility, show my ID, and boom instant relief from getting my stuff. Their hours are a bit strange. Wish they would open earlier for customers but I'm sure there's a reason for that. They are open late though for those coming home from work. This Place and the people at iv'e had to deal with are horrible to put it nicely. I have been waiting for a package to come since Friday 11/3/2017. Granted nobody was home at the time. But its after this what i have had nothing but issues with them. The tracking says it will be sent to the " ACCESS" point which is around the block. But it DID NOT get delivered there. Then i say lets just end the nonsense and just have them leave it at the center so i can come pick it up myself Monday 11/6/2017. Well what do you know they decided to just send it out and try to deliver it again. Well now its " on the truck" and i still do not have my package. "If it's brown, flush it down." In the struggle to find a decent package delivery company I have discovered that UPS is the worst, the USPS is actually quite good - especially if you use priority - and FedEx is the best. UPS is union and very large with depots all over the U.S. You would expect them to be professional especially given their advertising budget and grandiose assertions (in the advertisements). Unfortunately they come in last, in my experience. 1) There is no way to request a delivery time. UPS drivers in my region seem to revel in repeatedly attempting to deliver during the work day. This is great for people working second shift. For the rest of us it is absurd. 2) The driver who "delivers" to my neighborhood - quoted as he rarely delivers anything other than post-it "InfoNotices" - does not complete the "To: " or "From: " lines on the InfoNotice. I complained about this on Thursday 9/8/11 and the same driver did the same thing again - on Tuesday 9/13. He's not a quick study (incidentally UPS denies that the integer written in ink on the lower left corner of the infonotice is an identifier, I think perhaps it is). 3) UPS has a corporate policy of requiring drivers to determine if a neighborhood is "safe" - if not the driver can decide to demand a signature even if the shipper does not require one. If you live in an integrated neighborhood and have a skittish driver, your packages won't get left - even if you have a porch and places to leave packages out of sight of passersby. No amount of complaining can alter the behavior of the driver. While it is understandable that a driver doesn't want to get blamed if a package is stolen there is no way to request, before the first attempt, that the package simply be left. 4) When I sign a slip and ask that the package be left out of sight it is always left on my door mat. Marvelous. 5) It is impossible to request that the depot hold a package for pick up until AFTER the first attempt to deliver has failed. This is imbecilic. 6) Finally, UPS has no complaint department. This is pretty effective in cutting down complaints, however, the workaround is to contact the Better Business Bureau. It does get their attention - I've used this intervention with good effect. Alternatives: The USPS does a much better job of stashing a priority package out of sight (without having to be prompted) and will hold mail, if that service is requested. They are, however, the slowest of the three carriers when it comes to updating web tracking and often the website doesn't show that package is out for delivery until after you have found it on your porch. Their edge - Saturday deliveries! Fedex is not union. That is the only gripe I have with them. They are very fast, very reliable, and very flexible - at least in my region. They get the idea of customer service. If you notice that a package has arrived at the depot but is not scheduled for delivery until the following day you can give them a call. You can actually call the local office - unlike UPS. And they respond to an early pick up request (from the depot) with, "Sure!" And why not, it saves them gas and time. If you know you won't be home you can pull a package off the truck BEFORE the first delivery attempt and retrieve it at your convenience. If you opt for a routine delivery but miss the driver and a signature is required by the shipper the driver leaves a legible, complete delivery notice. If no signature is required, they ring your door bell and leave the package out of sight from the street but in plain sight for the resident/recipient. My conclusion: Fedex is preferred, USPS is a good alternate and if it's brown - flush it down. After this most recent experience - I still don't have my package - I won't use UPS and won't buy from photography houses that offer no other options. PS - KEH camera (KEH.com) is the BEST photographers' marketplace for used equipment. The embodiment of professionalism, KEH uses Fedex by default despite the fact that they are located in Atlanta, the home of UPS' corporate HQ. Maybe they know something we don't? read more

At what point do you finally admit YOUR DRIVER DOESN'T EVEN TRY TO DELIVER THE PACKAGES? In 2 years I can remember every package I received. We are lucky if we get the simply courtesy of one of those sticky notes-- even luckier if it has an address, even luckier if it actually says the name of the drop off point. USPS, Amazon Courier, FedEx, Lasership (ffs), DHL, ALL deliver here with NO PROBLEM!!! Because their drivers aren't LIARS!! I'm sitting here with a case # from yesterday where I was promised a call "within in an hour" from someone in Asia, of course no call. If someone at UPS would simply NOTICE and check and see that your packages NEVER GET LEFT AT OUR APARTMENT COMPLEX!! seriously!!! How can you let this go so long? I've filled out UPS my choice numerous times, given the access code to the building, given permission to leave it. I will literally sit and wait and no call to my phone, no call from the directory, not even a knock or a sticky note of an attempt, yet it says "I wasn't home" and gets transferred to a pick up point. I have photos from the few times there were "attempt" noticed left of other residents writing "YOU NEVER SHOWED UP I WAS WAITING FOR YOU" UPS, PLEASE I am BEGGING you, look into our route!!! I live in mariners harbor projects on Staten Island ny, this station of ups is the one that usually delivers to us. Lately they've been really horrible. For one they don't deliver to each address anymore. What they do is, they drive to one spot on Lockman by the main housing office and they sit there between the times of 9-10am and let everyone come get their packages. Seems easy and better for everyone, kinda a win win for both sides,but it's not right when everyone goes there in the blazing heat on a hot hot summer day and wait and no one ever comes,then you get a email saying sorry but your package will be rescheduled for tomorrow,today was a failed attempt as if they actually went to your door and tried but really what had happened was they came to the spot on Lockman late. Very late and don't tell or warn anyone about being late. It's fucking pathetic and sad that we are treated this way. Whatever outlook you have on that area, don't think everyone is the same. You got people who work and take days off to receive the package and never get it because they want to be late and not notify customers. I live in Richmond Terrace, S.I. UPS driver never goes into my building. I was waiting home all day. After the tracking my package, it stated; attempted delivery on Friday afternoon 1/31/20. I have to waiting till Monday to pick up my package at UPS customer Care Center. Which is about 30 minutes away. What's going on? If these UPS Driver do not like to do their job; but they love to get their paycheck. This is unfair for the customer. There was no delivery attempt. Ups customer service is one of the worse I have incounter. They hold your package for days without you been able to get it. When u ask for it to be pick up at the call center it's never available when u get there. They will have you waiting for 45 min to a hour and then you leave without your package. read more

The drivers out of this location are the WORST. They are lazy and make absolutely no attempt to deliver the packages. I believe that when their shift is "up" they just mark all packages as missed attempts. I cant say that have EVER had a good experience receiving packages on a timely basis from UPS. I even canceled Amazon Prime because for some reason, they preferred to use UPS to deliver to my address--and consequently my packages always arrived 2-3 days later than the "guaranteed delivery date". When i spoke with Amazon, they blamed the delivery company. The drivers from this location are extremely lazy--I've seen them parked outside my development (by the driveway no less) and have received "missed" notifications. My neighbors have even chased the truck down a few times. This location seriously needs to take a look at the driver's delivery exceptions and start cutting their losses! A package was supposed to be delivered to me. I get a notification that it was attempted to be delivered around 1:30pm. I had someone waiting for the package who did not hear the bell. We have Ring cameras, THERE WAS NO DELIVERY ATTEMPT. THERE WAS NOT EVEN A UPS TRUCK ON MY BLOCK. Absolutely ridiculous. Called the UPS company and the service center and was promised it would be redelivered and that they contacted driver. The package was not redelivered. After calling the UPS company and speaking with a manager, they contacted the Service center and put me through. They told me to come pick up the package there when it was closing in 20 mins.... I was still stuck on the fact that they told me they attempted to deliver it and kept telling me this meanwhile I HAVE VIDEO PROOF that there was no delivery. The woman at the service center me and the manager spoke with also had an awful attitude. She also claimed that there was no message to the driver and that There was no record of me calling. Michelle from Staten Island center called me, misinterpreted my frustration as sarcasm and had the audacity to say that my "sarcasm is the lowest form of humor." This was one of the worst shipping experiences I have ever had. I received a notice that delivery was attempted and could not be completed and that my package was being held at the carrier. I was provided a number to call UPS. When I called UPS, I was sent into a voicemail circle for about 10 minutes. Once I got through to someone, she told me she didn't have any information on my package, and that I would need to call the shipper! The notice I got said UPS was the shipper. She eventually gave me another number and said it was for USPS. Perhaps they transferred it, but the email did not indicate that. Very confusing and misleading. I ordered a $200 backpack from Gossamer Gear. UPS made no effort to deliver this package to my package. Instead they left an info notice with my name and the tracking number on the very public door of my apartment building stating that the package was being delivered to an "Access Point" and was kind enough to give the address. On Friday the 27th (while i was out of state at my father's funeral) someone took the notice, went to the "UPS Access Point" Which turns out to be a laundromat(???) and flashes an id. The laundromat worker hands the package over. This is all on video. I have filed an investigation with UPS. I have also filed a criminal complaint. UPS constantly either dumps packages in the lobby unattended or leaves a notice that they were unable to deliver. Our building has had constant problems with theft as a result. This location is one of the worst UPS I have been to. Years ago I had talk to a woman there name Tonya or something with a "T" due to the driver never ringing my bell to come out of my apartment to get my package. Long story short I had to take a cab to the store to get it. Now here it is I get something shipped to my home address now that they have a "drop off location" where you can go and get your packages, and i don't get a call and the driver leaves my package in the lobby of my lobby and my package is missing. I call and the same woman tells me it's not my fault you live in a project. Where I leave done not give the driver the right to leave my package in the lobby and state that he delivered it to my apartment door. UPS is awful and I wish I could give them negative stars. I find myself not purchasing things from vendors that use UPS especially if the package needs to be signed for. I made sure I was home during the delivery hours specified in the email and the delivery person went to the back door so they could just leave a slip on the door. If I could, I would give it "0" The service never delivered the ordered item to my office, then sent the note that they did three attempts and office was closed. The representative was rude and refused to give her name or transfer to her supervisor, she just put me on endless "hold". Finally, I was able to reach different representative - Felicia, provided her with office hours, scheduled day of the delivery. I had a great experience at this location. I had to drop off an Amazon return that had pre-paid postage and this is nearest UPS drop-off to me. It was pouring out and a UPS worker saw me pull in and directed me where to go, once I showed him it was pre-paid he took the package from me, so I didn't have to get out of the car. That was very nice! There are clear markers where to go once you pull into the large facility and they have late hours during the week, which makes it covenient for people who work. read more

I was given two locations to go pick up the package, and when I tried to figure out which was the correct one I was told they had tried to deliver it again, and it was on the truck. It is hell to get a human being on the phone and for some reason they don't list a phone number for the travis avenue location. We'll see if the package is available for pickup at 8 tonight like they say it will be. I would advise using any other shipping method if at all possible.
