My company mailed me a new laptop through UPS. UPS delivered it to the wrong address despite the given address being correct. I called UPS to file a claim and open an investigation. The lady I spoke to said the package was delivered 19 feet away from my home. However, I did not recognize the door from the proof of delivery photo. I was told I would receive a call in 19 minutes and I didn't. The next day I receive an email saying the claim had been closed because they could not contact me. I call them again to find out they did not ever get my number which I then provided. Not even 5 minutes later, I receive a phone call from a number located in Florida. The person on the other line was nearly impossible to hear. It was as if they were 30 feet away from the phone whispering. What I was able to make out is that it was UPS calling to ask if I had received the package which is odd considering I had just called them to tell them I hadn't. After asking the person on the other line to repeat themselves several times, they hung up on me. I called back to find it was a disconnected phone line. Then I receive an email stating the package was delivered and the claim was closed but still no package. I called UPS again to REOPEN the claim for a 2ND time. I never received a call but received ANOTHER email stating the package was delivered which hadn't. This company and its associates clearly do not care about solving their own mistakes. They must be putting too much pressure on their own delivery drivers that they're not able to take the time to make sure their delivering items to the correct address. Instead there's a push to deliver packages as quickly as possible whether to the right address or not. This is a company that should be held responsible for the lost expenses they put on other individuals and companies. read more

Per the security staff at the employee parking lot (as well as the UPS agent on the phone that I spoke with) today, this location is now *PERMANENTLY CLOSED*. If your delivery address is serviced by the Baldwin Park UPS hub, you apparently no longer have any means of remediation if 1) UPS attempts to deliver to your home when you are not present, 2) a signature is required, and 3) the shipper does not permit rerouting to a UPS Store (etc.). At this point, I am no longer comfortable choosing UPS as the carrier to deliver goods to my home, and would rather try my chances with USPS and FedEx (or even better, Amazon). **************** Update 7/22/2024: I was able to get a 4th delivery attempt and obtained my package after verbally agreeing to a release waiver with a UPS customer service rep over the phone. That said, we discovered that a signature was never needed for this delivery in the first place, and (based on Ring Cam footage - or lack thereof) the UPS driver involved in the first three "attempts" never even rang my doorbell or knocked on my door to see if I was home during those three "attempts". Tracking site asks for updated address. I click on the available link (no link offered last time). It has my correct address and a place for adding a revised address. I click on use this address which is my ALREADY correct address. The one that supposedly was used on 10/16/25 with the "ghost" package on the delivery truck? 10/17/25 - new update via UPS- Address change requested "we received a request to modify the delivery address". UM NO! I just selected use same address as original. WTF UPS!!! 10/17/25 - "Estimated Delivery" The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible based on my "requested" delivery change. WTF!!! Note I called UPS customer service on Wednesday, 10/15/25, and supposedly this was all figured out. It was even being TRACKED as on the delivery truck on 10/16/25. I asked if I could PERSONALLY go pick up the package at the facility but it was stated that this UPS facility is NOT open to the public. Well I didn't think I would find so many negative reviews for their main sorting center for the SGV, but here they are. My review is based on the drivers that come out of this place. On 3 occassions, they have failed a simple delivery. 1) I ordered some items from Macy's a while ago. Tracking the updates, it said it was delivered and left by the front door. It was not. It was only after 3 days that I realized the driver threw it over the side fence into my backyard at a place where I seldomly go to, because I always access the backyard through the patio doors. 2) I ordered from another retailer. The website showed delivered, left at front door and again, nowhere to be found. I checked every inch around the house, and it's a big box so unlikely it's under a bush. 2 days later, a neighbor brought it over and said it was left near their side gate. 3) A replacement item was shipped, and yet again it showed delivered and left at front door. Except it wasn't because my security camera didn't pick up any movement, and my ultra sensitive dog would've heard the truck and barked. We were home at the time they claimed to have delivered it. Their customer service is useless. After a chat, they said they will send me a link to file a claim. Turns out, it's just instructions and it's the exact same wording as their website. Then he tells me I need to wait 24 hours to file a claim. Then I found out I need to create an account to file a claim. Within 24 hours after I filed the item lost, I got an email requesting for documents that only the shipper has, not the recipient, since I never receive the package ... Hello!! McFly, anyone in there!? When I logged on, it shows the claim is closed because they cannot find the package. I thought I already know the package is missing, which is why I contacted them. So their drivers are absolutely poorly trained because they're batting a 100% failure rate with my shipments. I am missing a replacemtn product and the shipper doesn't know what's going on. Wife received package from ups, didn't check it out. I arrived later in the afternoon 11/02/23. Said "this feels kind of light" and sure enough it was light, missing the device. I'm sure it's not a first time occurrence with this UPS because to the eye you wouldn't think anything of it. Taped up properly etc... now to the phone package it was carefully removed without damaging packaging. Comes with (2) pull able seals, just had one intact. I guess they pulled one and Pried it open and slid the phone out. From seeing that I wonder how many other victims this has happened to. Today, 8/14, I received another message stating that no one was home to accept the delivery. Once again, my cameras showed that no delivery attempt was made. The wait time to speak with a representative is absurd (40mins). For anyone considering using UPS, I recommend looking into FedEx or USPS instead. While I am not sure what the mix up was, I had this lady named Lilly help me out and she was very professional and kind. She got my number and went to find the issue and get it resolved and called me to tell me she found my package and she would get it shipped ASAP. Baldwin Park UPS- "Where Packages Go To Die." This is by far the worst UPS location I've ever dealt with with. Whenever I see that my packages are heading here, I already know I'm not getting it. The package will either be returned to sender, lost, or stolen. Customer service is non existent. This location even has the weirdest hours. It's open from 8am until noon. I mean, it's supposed to be open during those hours, but I've come here at 11:45 am and the gates are already closed. This UPS center is absolutely terrible. I am glad the experience I have with my Amazon shipment is the same as what many reviewers here had. Basically, if you have your package transited to this UPS center, the tracking number is practically useless. My last Amazon shipment was "Out for delivery" every day for 3 consecutive business days last week, and at the end of each day, the status went back to "In transit". I could actually track the UPS truck carrying my Amazon package during those 3 business days, but the UPS drivers never bothered to deliver my package. Every night, I received an email from UPS choice that my package is rescheduled to the next business day. Finally, my package arrived after taking a vacation in the UPS trucks for 3 business days, and I no longer needed it because of the super late arrival. I already had to purchase a similar item from a local store. I filed a complaint to Amazon about this, and thank goodness, I got refunded, but my incoming Amazon package, which is less time sensitive, is transited in this UPS center again unfortunately.... It was out for delivery today, but this time, I was not given the tracker to track the UPS truck carrying my package. At the end of the day, it's back in transit again. My experience started when I had ordered computer parts and my package was sent to this location. I was anticipating my package's delivery, as the tracking said it would arrive by 9:00 PM, but it did not. However, I was patient because I understand there is a pandemic, so I allowed for 1-2 days to pass before I reached out to customer service. UPS customer service was not quick, but they were responsive. However, I realized that the representatives do not know any more information than me and proceeded to wait a few more days for the package. After not receiving my package for about a week, I filed a claim with UPS and my shipper. I thought the experience would end there. Horrible customer service! I ordered a product online and when it arrived it was damaged. I spoke to the seller and he told me it was damaged in transit and that this is a regular problem with UPS. Seller told me he would fix it and resend it. It was scheduled for delivery on Friday. The package never arrived and now says it's in Ballwin Park, but won't be delivered till Monday. Unfortunately I will be out of town next few weeks so I decided to go to the Baldwin Park warehouse and pick up the package which I have done for many years. When I arrived I noticed they have now closed the Customer Service pick up area at the Baldwin Park warehouse, which makes it more difficult for customers who are unavailable when deliveries are made. I called customer service and after going through many automated messages and finally managing to get a hold of Customer Service agent, they tell me that there is nothing they can do and I would have to wait till they decide to deliver it. UPS has really gone downhill with piss poor delivery/customer service. They used to be the premier delivery service, but now they are at the bottom of most delivery companies. What a shame! Great spot to drop off packages! I use this spot to drop off orders for my small business. I have shipped out well over 50 packages from here and haven't had a problem. The packages arrive and they arrive quickly. There are carts that they allow people to use in case one has lots of merchandise to ship out. The staff is kind and they wish me a nice day. The staff knows how to manage the line so that drop offs are properly prioritized. The line here tends to be shorter than going to a UPS store and they are open an hour earlier. I do wish that they were open later and on weekends. This is not a full service UPS store so don't expect them to offer as many services as the UPS store down the street. Overall I like this location. They make it easy for a small business to send out packages. Thank y'all! See y'all again soon! read more

I'm not usually one to write Yelp reviews, but this customer center screwed up my delivery so badly that I feel I must warn others about my awful experience... - On 12/2 when my 3 day select shipment was supposed to be delivered, instead the tracking updated to "failed delivery - adult signature required". However, no delivery attempt was actually made as I was home all day, and also have 4 security cameras and 2 doorbell cameras that confirmed UPS was never here. Not only that, but this shipment didn't even require a signature to be delivered, so they basically just made that up. - The tracking said that another delivery attempt would be made the next business day (which would be 12/3). However, by 12/7 there had still been no delivery attempt made, and so I started calling UPS. - Nobody at the Baldwin Park UPS customer center ever picked up the phone, so I instead got a hold of the UPS national support line. They called this customer center who then claimed my package was lost, and the phone representative recommended I open an investigation for it with them, which I did. - Two days later on 12/9, the investigation had turned up nothing, but the status of the tracking somehow updated to "returning to sender". Even though zero delivery attempts had ever been made. - Pretty upset at this point, since I had already been trying to locate this package all week (which was not eligible to be returned), I called UPS again to get to the bottom of it. This time, the phone support claimed that the customer center had "held" the package all week, and was waiting for me to pick it up - but were now returning it since I never did. Even though the tracking never reflected this, and the previous representative even told me it was lost. As ridiculous as it is, I would have happily driven the hour to pick it up but they literally never gave me that option. I was told I would then receive a call from the customer center to explain what exactly happened, but they never actually did that. - I was hoping that this was just an error in the tracking info, but the next day the shipment started moving back to the sender. Desperate to prevent this since the item was not refundable, I called UPS one last time to try to intercept it. They called the Baldwin park customer center again, who claimed to know what was going on. This time the manager of the customer center "guaranteed" that they would still be delivering this package to me, despite the changed tracking. They also promised to call back again that day, which turned out to be yet another lie and I never heard from them. - Today 12/13 the package has now been completely returned to the sender. Zero delivery attempts were ever made to deliver it to me, and I couldn't even get them to locate it in a week of nonstop calling, before sending it back. Easily the worst UPS experience I've ever had and judging by the other reviews here, I'm far from alone in this. If you live in an area where your UPS shipments go through this facility, I would highly recommend using literally any other carrier out there to receive your packages. read more

I had an order of fresh/frozen did food scheduled to be delivered on Saturday, June 22, 2024. I was informed that my package could not be delivered until Monday, something that was not possible for my order to survive. I called customer service, after going through all the robot hoops of course, but when I finally reached a real person I explained the situation and she was right on it. She told me that she found my order and someone would be contacting me within an hour. That actually happened! A woman called from the Baldwin Park facility and told me she had my package and that she would be happy to drop it off to me on her way home that night! What a blessing! I have a whole new respect for UPS! This woman went totally above and beyond to get my order to me, it surely would have gone bad if it had to wait until Monday. I cannot believe how awful UPS in Baldwin Park is. I used to work here years ago and I actually was a driver helper for the driver who delivers to my house. This guy has had the package on his truck all week and has not made an attempt to deliver my package. He actually parked three houses down and I got a email saying my package was being delayed. My guess he's too lazy to get out and handle the package due to it being a bulk item. This is so ridiculous that the driver is allowed to not deliver my package and ups does noting about it. I have waited for five days for my package to be delivered. For five days I get this response. Can't anyone sort my package to be delivered? So I've called the local Baldwin Park service center and got no response from calling 5 times. I finally got ahold of Latesha who couldn't not answer my questions, but transferred me to Silvia who found my package in San Gabriel, why? All of my notifications have been from Baldwin Park. So where is my package? So I told Silvia I'll pick my package up at the Baldwin Park center and she said that I can pick it up In Cerritos? With? Not acceptable. I told Silvia to deliver my package or send it to Baldwin Park. She said that my package would be delivered today and that someone would call me between 10:30am and noon. It is now 12;25 an no call. So I tried to call the Corporate office in Atlanta and could not get a real person to talk to and worse, I got " you have made a wrong selection and was hung up on 5 times. I have not seen such terrible service in my life. There are people driving the trucks and I know that they have supervision, so how do they communicate? Obviously not by phone. I am thoroughly disgusted at this point and I refuse to ever use UPS again. I would like a customer service person from UPS to contact me, but I realize that there's no chance in hell of that happening. I made a purchase on Amazon. They are using UPS for this delivery. I've been tracking my purchase and it appears it was shipped from Tennessee on June 1 and made its way to the UPS facility in Baldwin Park, CA on June 3. For the next consecutive 3 days, I've received alerts my package was going to get delivered only to receive notices at the end of each day my delivery was delayed "due to weather or natural disaster." It has been bright and sunny, no natural disasters, nothing. I live in the city right next to Baldwin Park and it is literally only a 10 minute drive.
