That being said, for anyone who likes mead or sessions, this is a great place to drop by. Its a smaller distillery with quite a bit of seating, games, and space to hangout and chill. I liked all the varieties we tried and bought 2 bottles to take home as well. Great space for those who want something different from beer breweries and try some honey based alcohol. The hours are a bit limiting but definitely worth making the trip here. The owner also lets you bring in outside food so feel free to grab some Greek, Chinese, or wings from next door!

This is a honey meadery that's family owned. They have plenty of varieties and the owner is usually there to talk to you about the process and how all of the meads he makes came to be. The pricing is fair based on what I've seen other places and can get pricey if you're buying a large bottle. You can choose to buy a bottle, a glass , or a flight of different ones to choose from. The menu is also very easy to understand. I'm not sure if this place is still opened because google indicates it's permanently shut down, but the FB page says it's still open. You may want to call before visiting.

The menu is fairly large, but any of the staff can speak to which one you'll like best. Some is REALLY sweet, some a little tart, and some tastes like fruit juice - but watch those, because they're all in double-digits with the alcohol by volume! We tried several, but my favorite was the Almond Joy. They took Chocolate and coconut and it really tastes just like an Almond Joy. My wife liked the Cranberry and the raspberry varieties. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the Strawberry rhubarb, but maybe next time! If you've got someone in your party who would just as soon stick to beer, it's okay to byob - same with sandwiches or shareables. They're only open on the weekends, but it's a really neat idea, and I strongly recommend you try it.

The place itself is also very laid back and relaxed being outside of the city area. On this trip, my fiancee was doing one of the 5k runs they hold to raise money for the Pink Ribbon Foundation. I came along for moral support and the tasty libations. I'll admit that I was sipping on a pint of Oktoberfest during the run. Tis the season, right? And theirs is fantastic. When my fiancee was done rocking the 5k, she and her friends enjoyed some wine. They could choose either a semi-dry reisling or the Hillside Red blend. My fiancee is definitely more of a red wine fan so she got that. She really enjoyed it too. We also decided to have lunch there, and of course, a couple more libations. She had a pinot noir while I had a New England style IPA. Both were delicious. As for food, my fiancee had the crab cakes and a half Caesar salad, while I had their wings and a half Bistro salad. We really enjoyed everything we got. It made for a great lunch and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. I think we need to make it out here more often because we always have a great time.
