It's quite refreshing to find not a few but 8 different flavors of hard cider less than 15 minutes from my house. It's set in an industrial complex but don't let that put you off. Inside is intimate and you'll likely stay there for an hour or 3: the staff and ciders are just that good. Fingers crossed they get hoodies added to their merch!

Great bar seats and even better bar tenders!

Came here on a whim and absolutely loved it. The ciders are delicious and Patrick and Ashley were fantastic behind the bar. The locals were incredibly welcoming and the atmosphere inside was cozy and warm. We left we three four packs and really look forward to coming back.

We got there a little after 1:00 pm and they were super busy. The inside was small but there were plenty of seating outside. We didn't mind going out there despite the 30 degree weather. The view of the farm and vineyard was gorgeous to look at even with the snow. Before we went in, we greeted the sheep's in the front entrance. You can't miss the small barn. We stood in line and while we were waiting, we filled out the sheets and picked our 4 tastings. They range from dry, semi sweet and sweet. They also serve slushies and mulled wine. We ordered: Flight of 4 $10.00: -Dry Red- 2022 Free Run Norton -Dry Red- 2023 Marquette -2 Dry White-2023 Seyval Blanc -Dry Red-2022 Norton -Dry Red-Oaked Norton -Dry Red-2023 Alexander -Semi Dry Rose- 2023 Grower's Blush Appetizer: -Classic Charcuterie for two For food, they do have paninis and charcuterie trays. If you order, they give you a buzzer. When it goes off, you pick up your meal outside/food truck. Our favorites were the Alexander red and Seyval Blanc. So good that were purchased bottles to take home and had two glasses of Alexander after we finished our flight. I talked to the owners and they are very friendly and take pride in their wines & their farm. I highly recommend you pay them a visit. We had such a great experience and will definitely come back when in the hocking hills area. Make sure to check their hours because they are only open certain times and days of the week.

It looked very scenic and laid back too so we had to check it out. Glad we did because we really enjoyed it. Excellent wine, very relaxed atmosphere, and tremendous service. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon after some hiking. We just wanted a couple wine flights and maybe a charcuterie board since we saw they offer those. It was pretty busy already and we got there right after they opened for the day. Still, it wasn't super cold out, and we found comfortable seating on a porch outside. We started with two flights and a classic charcuterie board. Here are the wines we tried: -Dry Red- 2022 Free Run Norton -Dry Red- 2023 Marquette -Dry White-2023 Seyval Blanc -Dry Red-2022 Norton -Dry Red-Oaked Norton -Dry Red-2023 Alexander -Semi Dry Rose- 2023 Grower's Blush We enjoyed pretty much all the wines, especially the Alexander and the Seyval Blanc. Note that when ordering food, you order at the bar, then they hand you a pager, and you get your food at a food truck nearby when your pager goes off. Our charcuterie board was done pretty quickly and everything was tasty. So much so that we took our time to savor it along with a couple more glasses of wine. They do offer s nice range of wines too, from dry to sweet to all points in between. They also do seasonal wines like mulled wines in winter and wine slushies. Like a certain wine? You can buy a bottle and they offer 10% off if you buy six or more bottles. This is a great little winery and lots to offer. I can tell they're a big hit with locals and travelers alike with how busy they got quickly after opening up. Say hi to the sheep when you get there too!

They have an outdoor area that was sadly closed - we would have loved to enjoy the beautiful weather! We dined inside over the weekend and they offer Brunch & Bubbles as well as their traditional menu. We ordered off the Brunch & Bubble's! Started with mimosas/No-mosa's - very good and such a reasonable price of $5! That was a treat! They had complimentary pretzel bread and butter for the table. We ordered the APPLEWOOD SMOKED BACON PIZZA, CANDIED BACON BLT, and the EGGS ANY WAY. My friends enjoyed both the pizza and BLT and said they would order again. Eggs any way feels misleading as I ordered scrambled egg whites and they came back and said they don't have egg whites and if normal eggs that have milk mixed in are okay instead. I am confused if they can make fried eggs why they can't separate the yolks for egg whites? For a restaurant at this price point and prestige, I was disappointed and will defer me from going there for brunch in the future. Instead I got three sides - applewood bacon, potatoes and oven roasted vegetables. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed with the potatoes and oven roasted vegetables. The potatoes had a sauce on them that felt heavy and was unexpected - I wouldn't order them again (my friends who also had them with the bacon BLT said the same and in the future would ask for a different side) and the oven veggies were a bit saucy and tangy. The perception of what you will receive based on the name does not match what is presented. I've been to a Coopers Hawk for dinner several times and really enjoyed it, but this was a miss for me.

Great. Our server Ava greeted us and took our drink orders. I got the Brunch Sangria. So good. Actually 3 of us got one. Things were moving along. She came back around we put our order in. That was probably around 12:20. Making great time. I got a side salad. A friend got the Wedge. That came out in good timing. It was pretty good. This is when things went left. Around 1:30pm.... The entrees came out. I got the chicken potstickers. The temp on them was ok. But the other meals were cold. Yall... their meals were inedible. We waited all that time for their food to be cold. Not only that there was no check-in being done from our server. Felt kind of neglected. The manager came over to apologize after it was asked if they could have food that was hot. He seemed sorry. But it kind of put a damper on the meal. This is not a cheap place. Expectations are high. They were busy. Totally understand. However to serve cold food is not cool at all. Like I said I ate my potstickers. They were delicious. Could have been a hotter temperature for sure. But it is what it is. Will I go back? Yes. Definitely with the hope of better.

This place has measured pour machines with pay-to-play tap cards and the wines are pretty pricey. The machines take up quite a bit of room and create some traffic. I know people love these. I think these are absolutely awful and completely impersonal. I am not basing my review here on the actual machines, just saying they aren't my preference and they feel corporate. I wish they would move them to the back and put comfortable seating there instead. There isn't a ton of seating here. Next, the lighting. This is a very beautiful spot and again, perfect for the day time. They have glass pendant lighting hanging throughout the main area, and at night, these are BRIGHT. Like aisle 7 at Kroger. There is no soft uplighting to balance it, and it's pretty harsh. Between the traffic from the people trying to get wine and that, it doesn't have great ambience. The service we have had has been top notch!

That worked out okay, because our tasting was done outside on the patio and the kids kept busy. I really appreciated the nice touch from the winemaker/owner of giving our kids some goldfish to snack on- their favorite! This allowed us adults to taste all of Slate Run's wines, and also learn about the grapes, the process, and even the property. The winemaker/owner is very knowledgeable and is willing to share. I felt educated, but not overwhelmed. We went through the tasting in a timely manner, not too fast, not too slow. We had no intention of staying afterward, since we walked in less than an hour before closing time. Once our tasting was done, my wife and I decided on three wines to take home. His wines are unique in comparison to most of the central Ohio wineries- we've been to almost every one. I can drink all types of wines, my wife is only into dry reds. She was not crazy about the dry reds, so she let me pick and I went with three wines on the sweeter side. There is not much to the space inside of the building, but especially on a nice day, there are a few tables out on his patio to either do a tasting or drink a bottle. I love that we were able to take home a logo'd class with our tasting. Nice souvenir! I would stop back by next time I'm in the area to get some of the wines we enjoyed on that day.
