This is a honey meadery that's family owned. They have plenty of varieties and the owner is usually there to talk to you about the process and how all of the meads he makes came to be. The pricing is fair based on what I've seen other places and can get pricey if you're buying a large bottle. You can choose to buy a bottle, a glass , or a flight of different ones to choose from. The menu is also very easy to understand. I'm not sure if this place is still opened because google indicates it's permanently shut down, but the FB page says it's still open. You may want to call before visiting.

Turns out, it not only happened, but it's a really great family-run business as well. The menu is fairly large, but any of the staff can speak to which one you'll like best. Some is REALLY sweet, some a little tart, and some tastes like fruit juice - but watch those, because they're all in double-digits with the alcohol by volume! We tried several, but my favorite was the Almond Joy. They took Chocolate and coconut and it really tastes just like an Almond Joy. My wife liked the Cranberry and the raspberry varieties. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the Strawberry rhubarb, but maybe next time! If you've got someone in your party who would just as soon stick to beer, it's okay to byob - same with sandwiches or shareables. They're only open on the weekends, but it's a really neat idea, and I strongly recommend you try it.

And normally I would prorest if you took me out and I had to cook my own meat-but this was so much fun and the hubby did all the grilling! If you haven't been here yet you gotta go. Hubby reserved us a table for their cookout. Hubby and I ordered the Vintner Dinner. It included your choice of everything the House Dinner offered (NY Strip, Salmon, Shrimp or Crab Cakes and buffet) plus a Fillet Mignon, 2 premium drinks that cover any wine, beer, or wine slushie. We ordered the Fillet Mignon and it was a beautiful cut of meat!! It just melted in your mouth. You can look online at their menu options! We were so full. The buffet was fantastic, their baked potatoes were amazing! And they had live music from a country group Hearts on Fire. We had an absolute ball. Reservations are taken between 5:00-7:30 pm. Let them know if the size of your party changes because they prepare food fresh based on the reservation size. (They also offer private dinners outside of the normal cookout hours if you want a private event) They also have food you can order from the kitchen like cheese boards, Bavarian pretzels, chips and salsa, nachos and cheese, Caprese Platter, Valley Potato Chicken Boats and more! This place is under new ownership and they said to come back again this spring to see all the new things they're doing! The staff treats you like family and you can tell they've been making people happy for a long time. We took home a bottle of Raspberry Wine and Bourbon Barrel Aged Mead!! They also have craft beer!

When you walk inside you get the feel that the place is out in the middle of nowhere and they like BigFoot. Arrived and was provided a list of different wines. What is unique about this place the wines aren't considered meads. Meads are made from honey, but they offer wine infused by honey. In addition, meads are sweet, these were not sweet, they were actually dry wines infused with honey. So much different. They had small foods available. Good services and nice people.

I have brought several of my grape wine loving friends to Dutch Creek and they all leave pleasantly surprised with purchased bottles in hand. Love this winery's location too. Enough away from the hustling college town to provide a calm and pleasant experience, yet very convenient to the local restaurants to make for a lovely first course to your evening's meal. I can't say enough good things about this unique winery. Their bee to bottle process rivals any other wineries I've visited, which includes those of Germany and Italy that we have enjoyed. Yelp needs to create a special category just for Dutch Creek Winery.
