I have nothing but good things to say about upright orthodontics. From staff, care, to even pricing, everything made me feel comfortable and cared for. All staff members are so funny and easy to talk to and you can tell they really care about their patients. They make sure you're doing well throughout any procedure and triple check to see if you have any questions. As for price, I was quoted something so high for Invisalign at the orthodontist I went to as a high schooler (note to anyone else who has braces, don't forget to wear your retainers or you'll have to do your teeth again like me) BUT when I called Upright, it was a fraction of the price so of course I had to come here as it was reasonable and within budget. A big plus, if you need a dentist, the orthodontist's brother is the dentist downstairs so no need to go far for a cleaning. I met Dr. Eugene shortly after I became a new patient at Dr. Charles, his brother's dental practice. At our initial ortho evaluation, Dr. Eugene was very thorough in answering all of my questions, and laid out all options appropriate for my situation. In the midst of a potential military deployment, I wasn't even sure I'd start treatment, but with the care and professionalism Dr. Eugene and his team showed me, I knew there was no other place to go. A few weeks later, I decided to begin treatment--I opted for metal braces, which meant that I had to go to the office at least once a month for adjustments. Though there are more passive options available, I did not regret choosing this option, because I actually looked forward to visiting the office every single month--not many people can say that about their dental and ortho providers. Throughout the two years, Dr. Eugene and his team closely monitored my progress and were always generous about answering my questions, ensuring that I had everything I needed. For example, I was working as a flight attendant during the course of my treatment, and they made sure I had extras of everything, in case I lost things while traveling. They wouldn't let me leave the office without ensuring I was happy about my band colors for that month, that any wires were sticking out to cause the slightest discomfort, or that I had any unanswered concerns about my treatment. Dr. Eugene is just wonderful! My daughter has been coming to him for orthodontic treatments for about 2 years now. We actually did consultations at 4 orthodontists before choosing Dr. Kim. Each doctor suggested a slightly different plan for her complicated situation. Two other doctors recommended a similar multi-step treatment process. But when we met Dr. Eugene for our first consultation, we just knew he would be the right one for us - his kindness, competence, and consideration are so easily apparent. And his prices are extremely fair. His office is the farthest from our home, but it has been worth the 30 min drive each way to work with Dr. Kim and his awesome staff. We started seeing improvement quickly, and after the first year, her teeth were in a much better position. We're now working on refining the alignment, but everything is looking good. There was minimal or no pain for her throughout the process. Dr. Eugene is so kind, so great about explaining each step, and most of his staff are just fabulous. Boy oh boy, where do I start? I came into Dr. Eugene's office with crooked teeth that resembled the potholes on the 91 Highway. But after a careful and well planned treatment my teeth now resemble a straight edge. I frequently use it to draw straight lines when I forget a ruler.
