It was our first time and the experience was very positive for our two kids (10&11). We had the first appointment of the day so the dental staff saw both kids right away. Bashir at the front desk was engaging and very polite. Joseline the dental assistant was also very polite and engaging with the kids. Did an amazing job with reviewing the proper way to brush, taking her time to demonstrate while my kiddo was in the chair. Then of course the dentist Dr. Glass was very professional, respectful and patient with the kids. This was our first time in a "grownup" dentist office that wasn't decorated with cartoon characters and animated movies on the tv screens and I'm glad this was a positive transition as they are now older and can sit in a chair and actually have a conversation with the dentist and staff working on their teeth. I take both my teens here and love the office. Staff is super friendly and Dr Glass is great. He makes everyone so comfortable and at ease. I have great insurance but my out of pocket is approximate 30 percent so dental visits scare me. You just don't know what you will end up paying. I never feel pressured at this office to buy additional services. There's no upselling like previous offices I have been to. I appreciate them for that. A single mom before Christmas with two kids going to the dentist can be a bit scary. But they took great care of both my girls and kept me in the loop the whole way. Thank you to this awesome office! I had been going to this dental office for about three years, my last two visits were not very happy. First of all, I did not feel safe how they handled equipments and the computer mouse and they touched my son's mouth with wearing the same gloves throughout the whole process. But I saw doctor kept changing gloves often.. Worst thing was that one female hygienist came and used bare hands with long red nails to open dental equipment packages and touched gauzes... wow.. where is the infection control concept?? I took my kids to the dental office even though we live in COVID 19 pandemic because I trusted them.. Second, If you have plan to go here, you need to be ready for spending two hours for just oral hygiene. I felt that our time was not important for them and no one came to updated me on what is going until I went out to talk to the receptionist. I will not go back there and hopefully this review can help other people to find good dentistry. -------------------------------------------- About 30 minutes after I left this review, Doctor(sorry, I don't remember his name) called me apologized and appreciated that I made a point. Good experience on the multiple times I've been there. I'm usually early but arrived a little late for one appointment. Dr. Haider and staff/assistants have always been kind and prompt. Instead working right through his busy day he took the time to double check if I actually needed a crown for my front tooth. There were prior notes to get a crown but I'm glad he took the time to check. Luckily I didn't get one and it saved me money and a headache. Dr. Le is very gentle and professional. He DOES know what he's doing and how to help patients conquer their fears of dental works. I was really afraid of seeing dentists. I hate it and didn't see a dentist for a long time until I had to. I have HMO and have heard so many times that it's hard to find a dentist with HMO. I am so grateful that I found Dr. Le on network and Yelp. I was very nervous to see him and unsure how it would be. But, it turned out really well. Many small things made me very satisfied with my visits here. Connie is his assistant who helped me with deep cleaning. She did a great job and always checked with me and made sure everything was good. Christine is another assistant who helped both me and Dr. Le almost every time when I was there for filling my cavities and a crown work. She's very patient and sweet. And she always asked me whether I wanted to listen to some music or watch a movie. And, of course, Dr. Le is very great. He's a great dentist. He calms me down when I am nervous. He and his assistants give me a short facial message when they numb me up or the work takes longer. They are all small things, but small things sometimes are not small... I have to say the Dr. is very friendly, however, his medical biller, Maria, is not. I have REALLY good dental insurance, no cost for basically anything. My first quote was $1000?! I called my insurance to verify, and was told there was NO cost. On my next appt. I advised Maria what I was told and she said that she could go as low as $250 per crown (I need 2). I said I wasnt going to get the work done until it was straightened out, & was told to have my insurance call her. After, again, speaking to my insurance, & being told again, no cost, my insurance did mention that they could charge me for upgrades. Well, that's nice and all, but I didn't ask, nor was I offered an upgrade, I was told this is what I need to pay for a crown. After, another conversation with Maria, she advised that was correct. I told her I didnt want the upgrade. Today was my appt., and they tried to charge me $500. Bottom line...know your insurance and ask questions, because I have a feeling that a lot of people are being charged for things that are a no cost with their insurance, but are actually "upgrades" that weren't truly authorized, or disclosed as an upgrade. read more

I have been going to Smile Works for many many years before Doctor Haider and the current staff and before Doctor Le. The Doctors/Dentists are adaquate, however the staff leaves much to be desired. Very unprofessional incompetent and lazy. Always takes 3-4 hours for a simple cleaning. They are literally running this business into the ground because they have never had any proper training to be a professional. Do not recommend, they will screw up your paperwork or insurance. Where do I begin with Dr. Le and the Family Dental Works team.... I hadn't been to a dentist office in more years than I'd like to say. It had gotten to the point where I, like many people, was extremely fearful of going to the dentist because I was scared they'd make me feel embarrassed, ashamed, or guilty for the condition of my teeth. When I finally came to the realization that I needed to see a dentist before they got worse, I did some research on Yelp & found Family Dental Works. I was pretty emotional/nervous at my first visit, but Dr. Le and his team made me feel comfortable, safe, and at ease. I am so beyond happy I found Dr. Le. He is extremely knowledgeable & trust-worthy. He was honest and clear about the treatments he thought would be best for me and I walked out of his office breathing a huge sigh of relief. They scheduled me for a teeth cleaning as well and it was an easy, gentle process. I love that they have movies they can put on the TV during procedures.
