Between the puppy teething bites, sled dog walks, terrorizing the mailman, and little dog ego, we knew we needed help. We called Sharon with BarkBusters, and she is an absolute game changer. At home training, No treats, No Tricks needed. Our furbaby is 6lbs of fierceness, and like his dad he wants to establish dominance in everything he does, including over our 2 cats and the entire household. In just one visit, Sharon taught us to think like a dog and how to lead the pack. Learning how to actually say NO in a language dogs understand has been groundbreaking for us. We've had dogs before, but we learned more in one session with Sharon than we did in a lifetime on our own. The future is so bright for our puppy Oliver, and we have Sharon and Barkbusters to thank for that!

We already had a well-behaved, but sensitive black lab mix. Sharon spent hours with us talking about canine psychology and working on attentiveness training. We worked with the dogs on the first visit, both at home, walking around the neighborhood, and at unfamiliar locations so we encountered another dog. The first day of training made an IMMEDIATE, huge difference; we were shocked and thrilled. The black lab was incorporated into the training too. She talked plainly with us and was realistic about interventions we would and would not be able to make for the dogs. She was awesome, we've seen lasting effects with our Staffie, and we plan on having our second session soon to follow up on our homework. Thanks Bark Busters!

Sandy was responsive to my questions via email and a very helpful, friendly person overall. I learned so much about how to train a dog. We went from him pulling, barking, not listening at all to me to a SO much more polite puppy that actually started to look to me for cues and commands. Amazing difference in 6 weeks. This place is run completely by volunteers (thank you!) and the prices for the group trainings (meet once a week) are affordable. Yes, it is loud in there and yes, you won't get much one on one since it's group training. But we really benefitted from taking this class. The noise and distractions actually helped me in training redirection. The homework that was given each week was very easy to follow and it was easy to show my husband and son how to be involved in reinforcing the training at home. We look forward to taking more group trainings here. This has been an awesome outlet to burn some mental energy and bond with my dog.

From the beginning she knew we were going to be in Florida visiting family for 7 days during the time he was in Cheyenne's care. We gave her a collar with an airtag (she even commented on how it was a good idea). She assured us everything would be fine. We received videos of training every couple of days. On Monday, March 16th 2024 I received a phone call from Cheyenne who was frantic and said that she had lost our dog Luca. She said she went to go get water and left him outside in her fenced yard for no more than five minutes. He was not wearing the collar with the airtag we provided. I asked why and she stated because he was in a crate and they don't have them wear collars in the crate due to safety concerns. I understand and agree with the safety aspect, but every dog expert I talked to said he should have had his collar on the moment he was out of the crate. After looking at the training videos she sent me again Luca was not wearing his collar in any of them. At this point, she said she was unsure of how he got out but would inform me of what was going on. She later stated that one of the latches of the gate was flipped up and that's how she thinks he got out. I asked if she had cameras and she stated she did not. She posted on local Facebook groups and so did I. I was still in Florida at this time and reached out to Illinois Lost Dogs who assisted me in putting together a flyer which I sent to Cheyenne. I also had some family out looking for him and sending flyers. Throughout this search it was very clear that Cheyenne was not sure of what to do. I was communicating with ILD and they were providing guidance which I then communicated to Cheyenne. I was basically running dispatch from Florida. I did not sleep for the next 8 days. I would message Cheyenne every morning and normally it took about an hour to get back which she stated she had to take care of other dogs at her facility and then would flyer and do what was needed. She did send several texts that she couldn't express how sorry she was and she would find Luca and "do right by us". I never wrote anything negative about her or her facility until now. I had my brother looking in the area (which he missed time from work in order to do so), I had a family friend volunteer her time with a scent tracking dog, and was constantly on socail media tracking sighting. We had a few sightings here and there. Cheyenne did find a drone operator whom she paid the first time. On Wednesday Cheyenne texted me that she was still willing to help, but that she had spent over 1k to search for him and couldn't financially do anymore. My family and I had spent over 2k at this point ourselves (plus the cost of the training), but I said I understood. Through talking with different organizations they said that it did not seem that Cheyenne was equipped to handle the situation and that I needed to take over the search. We cut our vacation short (not that we were able to enjoy it anyways) and spent $1,500 to get a last minute flight to go home. Once we arrived home Cheyenne let me know that she would help as she could, but would be deferring to me to lead the search. We came home early Thursday morning and were basically out all day every day until he was found Monday. When we arrived at the facility on Thursday, Cheyenne was out getting lunch and left Luca's stuff on a table outside of the door of the facility. Upon inspection, we found there was a hole at the back of the fence (picture below). I will be honest, I did not disclose this to her until later because I did not want it to affect us finding Luca. I bought flyers, 4 drone flights, multiple cameras, and supplies. Cheyenne did say she would help as she could, but something happened with the tire on her car. There were days during our search where I did not hear from her until I messaged her. Thankfully we were able to find Luca. Including the training, flight home, and various expenses we were out over 10k. When we first discussed repayment, she disclosed that her insurance lapsed because she didn't get a notice from her insurance company, in my opinion that's the responsibility of the business owner. She was able to somehow get it reinstated, but had no clue regarding her coverage or how it worked. She also was shocked when I said there was a hole in the fence. She still feels that he got out by lifting the latch but agreed that it was not suitable for a training facility and was in the process of replacing it. We ended up receiving a little over $4,800 for our expenses but was told her business was likely closing as a result. She has refused to do anymore. EDIT: Cheyenne is blatantly lying that we asked for 10k in pain and suffering so I have included an email where I actually said I was willing to take less than our expenses.

I saw some of the decent reviews and fig your not going to please everyone right? (Let me be clear I do NOT like confrontation) so went to store. I took my 18 mth GSD who is very sweet, first day staff seemed friendly (except for one guy in back that was yelling at dogs he just seemed miserable..refer to another review as well). I asked a lot of ? and all were answered. I felt nervous as so MANY dogs clumped together in small area but paid and left. That night my dog was acting diff. Two days later went in again, paid for a 10 session pckge. Put her in car and WOW SHE STUNK!! Like urine/spray!! I immediately went back in the manager sprayed her with an odor spray and I said she needs a wash. Ok get one saturday. I just had my new car detailed day before! But stench stayed! I was angry no one seemed to see anything happen? Anyway I go in sat. And my dog is acting nervous trying to leave outside cage? Im sitting car watching. Shes there with 2 other GSD and a mix puppy; the older GSD keeps bothering mine, I then watch as one GSD picks up the puppy and SHAKES IT!!! I get out of my car and the owner who was standing nearby came over as she saw what happened. I would like my dog elsewhere I said, ok she says and then says the 2 GSD and puppy are altogether and play like that all the time? Yea ok. I go back 4 hrs later to pick her up and mention I brought her shampoo did she get her bath? The older women (2) just stare at me with attitude for some reason? What bath? My dog was supposed to have a deshed wash? Corey the mngr spoke to me yesterday? Well no one said anything....then awkward silence for like an eternity. Ok... so...is she going to get a wash? She stinks. Yea we will check with the girl. How much did corey say? I said he said $30 (which I still do not feel I should even be paying). Then they stood there staring again...it was like a stephen king movie. Ok I said, Ill wait for the answer as Im here to pick her up. Then one walks off and they said come back in an hour. I STILL DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE ATTITUDE! Zero expression the whole time. I come back and she says $58. I told her I had a pre-paid pckge. Then she said $35 (it was supposed to be $30). As Im paying the groomer leaves saying bye to the women and clearly annoyed. They're tips start at 18%. So I add a tip did not ask why it was more than discussed paid and left. Got home and OMG doesnt even look like she was brushed properly. PLUS now she has MATT clumps around neck and ears!! I comb/brush her head to toe daily she never had any....plus what groomer takes less than an HOUR to wash, dry and brush a large dog?? Im going to ask for remainder of my package back Monday and find somewhere else. Nervous about that now as well since other reviews states the owner yelled at them (I do NOT do well being yelled at, Im quiet and reserved if I get yelled at that WILL change). Apart from my pup being more anxious now, the awful way these women made me feel for the whole day is reason enough. We BOTH ended up anxious/stressed! I think other owners are so used to dropping off and going to work and running in for pick up they never notice what goes on during the day but I will sit and watch for a while. I advise you to do the same if you go her

As a single doughter dad to my girl I needed help getting her to behave and relearn myself how to handle a new puppy (She turned One in June 2025) with a will of her own. I will say that at first the cost of care had me a little choked up but I also preferred having her somewhere that she wouldn't be in a crate all day or with so many dogs that she got no attention. Within the first month I noticed a decent change in her as well as my ability to be more assertive. It is close to a year later and she still goes there during the day Mon-Fri. She knows when we are headed there in the morning and is excited to go and see her friends (as well as the humans - but they are more managing the play date than a part of it) and excited to see me when I pick her up in the evening so I know she is getting not only great care but some adjustments to her bad habits. Overall I have been very happy with Posh and how they have gotten to know me and my (now) teenager and plan to have her going there for as long as I live in the area (or until I become a snowbird and run from the hurricanes).
