Fantastic--patient and knowledgeable. I received more than a year of therapy for a broken finger to regain my grip, which was successful.

This is where the organization went bad. Ever facility we picked, they came back and let me know they are no longer accepting parental placement. After going through 3-4 facilities they point blank told us the best way to get him help was turn him over to state custody and then all of their locations would accept him. They get $150/day from the federal government for each kid in state custody, but they do not get that money if a kid is parental placement. My son was adopted so he has already been through the system before, and I am not doing that again. So of you are looking for a treatment facility for your kid, do NOT use Kidlink.

So, I would have given Encompass Health Rehab Hospital 5 stars because they were amazing when I was…read morethere for two weeks in October. You won't find more caring doctors and nurses. Honesly. I continued with Encompass Home Health when I got home -- and til the pandemic, I was crazy about both my Physical Therapist and my Occupational Therapist, both from Encompass. Then, when the world shut down and we were told to stay home, I asked for teletherapy. And, that's where the problems began. Encompass insisted that Medicare REQUIRED an in-person visit to accompany teletherapy. WHAT? You want me to be exposed to your therapists who are in nursing homes and with possible "compromised" patients every day? WHAT? I am 74 years old -- I cannot do that and you shouldn't be asking me to do that -- an, btw, Medicare repeatedly told me that what Encompass Home Health was claiming was 1) untrue, and, 2) impeding my recovery process. By the time I fired Encompass Home Health, I'd gone more than 6 weeks with no therapy -- and my progress had basically stopped. I have someone new now -- and he's great -- and is pushing me so i can hopefully make up some lost time. But if you want ongoing, consistent therapy, beware of Encompass Home Health -- I cannot tell you how many excuses they came up with as to why they couldn't provide what everyone in the whole world was advising: virtual care whenever possible and minimal exposure to outsiders. Getting their reimbursement became much more important than ensuring my continued recovery. I haven't even hugged my daughter for almost two months -- I was not about to allow "in-person" visits from Encompass. Also, I found out later that my PT was in fact exposed and quite ill about two weeks after I stopped her from coming to my house. Not that Encompass would have ever told me that -- and I wonder how many patients have unnecessarily been exposed to a potentially lethal virus because Encompass misunderstood the Medicare rules. Just sayin'.....

Tasha in the kitchen consistently goes above and beyond. She truly cares about the residents and takes pride in the quality of the meals she prepares. Her kindness and dedication do not go unnoticed. The Activities Department feels like family to me. Grace and Lisa have been a part of my journey for a long time, and they have always been supportive, compassionate, and caring. They work hard to keep residents engaged and connected. When I first arrived, the rehabilitation team helped me regain my strength and independence. Thanks to their hard work and encouragement, I was able to get back to functioning the way I used to. While I have not needed rehabilitation services recently because I have maintained my progress, I remain grateful for the role they played in my recovery. The Social Services Department has also been an incredible source of support. The social worker has helped me in countless ways and has worked diligently to make returning to the community a realistic possibility for me. I understand that the facility, like much of the healthcare industry, faces ongoing challenges and changes. Despite those difficulties, I believe Park Ave is a wonderful place. Whether it is a temporary home, a long-term home, or simply a place to help someone regain their independence and return home, the staff's dedication and compassion make a meaningful difference in the lives of the residents they serve. I am thankful for the care, support, and kindness I have received during my time here.

My experience at Excell Orthopedics in Woburn was extremely disappointing…read more The office staff was friendly, welcoming, and I was seen right on time. My intake was completed, my medications were reviewed, and I was sent for X-rays before seeing the physician. The problem is that when I scheduled the appointment, I clearly explained the reason I needed to be seen, provided the testing that had already been completed, and filled out the online questionnaire detailing my symptoms and medical history. When the doctor entered the room, he asked why I was there. After I explained, he told me he does not treat that condition and would refer me to Neurology--even though Neurology was the specialty that referred me to him in the first place. I appreciate the doctor's honesty and that he did not attempt to treat something outside his area of expertise. However, it is frustrating that no one reviewed my referral, records, test results, or questionnaire beforehand. Had they done so, someone could have informed me that this provider does not treat my condition, saving me from leaving work, paying a specialist copay, undergoing unnecessary X-rays, and incurring additional insurance costs. The appointment lasted less than 10 minutes. The doctor reviewed EMG results I was already aware of and documented that my symptoms could be related to neuropathy, despite my explaining that my neuropathy affects my legs and feet, has significantly improved, and is not related to the shoulder and hand symptoms that began while taking a medication. I contacted a manager afterward, who acknowledged the issue and said she would educate the staff and get back to me. More than 24 hours later, I have not received a follow-up. While I appreciate the commitment to staff education, it does not address the time, money, and energy I lost, including the copays and additional imaging costs. Overall, this felt like a completely avoidable situation that should have been identified before I ever arrived for the appointment. My appointment was at 2:20 I checked in my receipt says 2:13, the women who checked me in was extremely kind and we chatted a few - I was brought back right at 2:20, went for xray at 2:30 after sitting going over my medications ect .. back to the room. The X-ray tech was very friendly also! I was back in my car at 2:43.

Dr. Connors was professional, talented, experienced and had a wonderful way of connecting with patients. Their part time back surgeon is not the best. He is too busy and doesn't give the confidence that you need to allow someone to cut into your spine. His work was minimally acceptable. The doctor who specializes in shoulder surgery was a dissatisfaction. After doing a shoulder twice, he dropped the case by just stopping communication. I was given the name of a different doctor who he didn't have any real knowledge of and ordered a final scan the results of which he never spoke to me about. At a final meeting that I made to try and find out what we were doing next, he was detached, in a hurry to just drop the case. He was clearly not interested in continuing to try and find a solution. Being a senior doctor who heads the department, he was completely uninterested in continuing with me. I have had to find another surgeon to continue working with who is willing to find a way to correct the problem and find a way to help get the daily pain unDer some control. The support staff at Excel is the best I could ask for. They are helpful, courteous and go above and beyond to get you what you need. So, if you decide to use this business, be very aware of the unprofessional attitude of some of the surgeons and be sure to make the right choice.
