The pizza was just ok to me. I enjoyed the crust and sauce but the ham and the cheese were just ok. Honestly wasn't a big fan of the huge ham pieces. read more

Upper Crust Pizza - Hawaiian Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Vista, California

I love their pizza, cuz it's so cheesy! I only wish the Oceanside site was open on Mondays. That's my favorite day to take my grand darlins out! read more

I wish I could rate this place 1000 stars! Upper Crust Pizza is my favorite pizza place in the world. Specifically the Vista location! I order the medium half cheese-half meatlovers, light sauce, pizza with a side of ranch. Everything we have EVER ordered is delicious! The owner is very nice and goes to the same dentist as my mom! The arcade is really fun too. I've lost many 'a' dollars on the play-till-you-win candy machine! Please go to Upper Crust- and maybe grab me some too! read more

Take out order of Hawaiian pizza, BBQ pizza, garlic bread, calzone, and Cesar salad! Everything was fresh and super yummy. Will be returning!! read more

Undecided, one hand, food outstanding, other hand, place dirty. Sat waiting for food, look around 5 table full of dirty dishes.

They make an amazing meatball sandwich! Great lasagna too. And of course the pizza is pretty great too.

The pizza here was unnecessarily HOT!! My son burned his hand on the pizza when the cheese slid off and ran down his hand. I asked them for burn cream or anything to help and they didn't have anything. Just be careful. read more

Upper Crust Pizza - Burn in hand - Pizza Near Me - Vista, California

This might sound strange, but I can totally tell a difference between the two locations and we normally like this location more than the Oceanside one (even though we live a few blocks from the Oside location). Something about the dough or the cheese or the ovens is just better here... Tonight was the first time we got a pizza to go (we wanted to watch the Michigan playoff football game at home) and we were SO disappointed. We ordered a large cheese pizza with light sauce (easy order) and when the hubby got it home, we opened the box and were so sad! Like I said, we normally like the pizza from here, but the pizza was burnt AND cold (not even sure how that can happen). I think we will stick to eating in (but will probably wait a while before returning... hoping they were just having an "off" night, but it's still hard to get less-than-stellar food and want to go back and spend hard earned money). For eat-in, I'd say 4 stars (for the pizza, but it is a rather loud, busy restaurant), but 1 star for carry-out, so an average of 2.5... read more

Pizza is good, Salads are great, Beer is cold, arcade for the kids, great place to watch Padres, Football, big games, etc. Old school pizza place. read more

Generally, I am not a big pizza eater but when I get pizza, this is the place. It is consistent, the sauce is perfectly spiced, the toppings are fresh, the crust is traditional, with just the right amount of chewiness and crunch. I almost always get a half and half salad too. Something about the pasta salad and green salad is just magical. Definitely need to try this when you come in. Wash this down with one of their ice cold beers on draft and I could not be a more happy camper. They are always busy.... with the amount of pizza competition out there, that should tell you something. read more

I think this is the only time we have been disappointed with our food. We had called the order in & when it was picked up one of the pizzas was missing a topping on half of it. They then added it & put it back in but when it came out it was partially burnt. Definitely not the best tasting & they never asked if we wanted a new pizza. read more

so i got a meat lovers pizza and all i gotta say is this pizza is BANGIN! They do not skimp with the toppings or the love 10/10 will recommend read more

Upper Crust Pizza - Deliciousness is in this photo - Pizza Near Me - Vista, California

What the vista location lacks in aesthetics and ambiance, it makes up for in food quality and quantity. The customer service is great, even when the staff was busy and the restaurant was packed they took time with each guest in a non rushed manner. The salad is fresh and crisp with colorful veggies mixed in, the ranch tastes house made and lives up to this Midwest girls standards. The pizza is well rounded in crust, sauce, toppings, flavor and is very filling. There is also a little arcade room to distract the young ones (literally and at heart) with vending machines of small toys, candy as well as a claw machine, pinball and racing game. read more

I have to mention how I prefer Upper Crust Pizza in Vista even though it's a 40 min round trip just to enjoy it on Super Bowl Sunday YIKES! I like to compare the pizza to the Goofy Movie Pizza where the cheese spreads so beautifully when you pick a slice (why do I always crave cartoon food lol?) Obviously enjoying it fresh at the restaurant is preferred but I honestly enjoyed it the same after reheating it in the air fryer! Oh yes and almost forgot that I always have to get the half and half salad! read more

Home town favorite! If you are visiting this town, this place is the to go place for your pizza cravings... Authentic Italian? Probably not. Customer Service? Ok to none. Pizza? 9 out 10 times they nail it right. Home Salad? 10 out 10 they nail it right. Ranch dressing is legit! Spaghetti with garlic bread? Always a single, if you know baseball. Basically, you can't go wrong with this place. Take it from this boy that was raised in this hood... Joint Approved! read more

Good pizza & excellent salad; their Italian dressing is incredible; def 5.0+! Service 4.5; ambiance 4.5

My dearest Upper Crust, I have been a customer for 25+years and will be a lifelong customer, but, I beg of you, for the love of humanity, please bring back your croutons. My half and half salad does not bring me as much joy without said croutons. At least give me the option to purchase some with my salad if need be, I'll do whatever it takes in my quest to bring back the croutons. Sincerely, A very loyal and somewhat disappointed crouton loving customer read more

Pretty good pizza. The spinach and house salads also good. Like the Lasagna which you can get as a special on Tuesday night's. Local place with loyal following which it deserves. Calzones are super stuffed read more

Our go to pizza place! My wife's favorite is the Hawaiian, my favorite is the hombre pizza. We also love the calzones and salads. Best part, no inconsistency, always excellent, always done right! read more

A year later and this place still does not disappoint. I called in an order for pick up and was immediately attended. Although it was while the SuperBowl was on, they attended to me right away. They told me my order would be ready in 15 min. When I got there about 20 min later, everything was ready and piping hot. The staff was friendly as usual and of course the pizza and wings we ordered were phenomenal! If you havent tried Upper Crust, please do. You will not be disappointed! read more

The pizza from Upper Crust is very good. Service not so good. Someone from the kitchen just came by and put the pizza on our table and walked off. There was no napkins, plates, or utensils. I had to go back to the kitchen to ask about everything. Then I directed to a shelf where everything was. They were kinda rude about it. Ambiance hey it's just pizza. In the end the pizza and the wings were high quality and delicious! read more

Always good! Great service! Definitely our go to for the best pizza and sandwiches. The staff is friendly and the owner is always present!!

I came here for an employee Holiday party which was excellent because I didn't think they would allow that many people in one party. We sat in the way back because it was big enough to accommodate so many people. The staff was great and we didn't want to overwhelm them so we took our time ordering. The food was damn good and the prices were very fair. The menu was great because you could order personal pizzas. If I'm in the area I would definitely be willing to eat here and because it's affordable, the pizza is good and it has a comfy atmosphere. read more

We finally found a great spot for pizza after our former go-to spot closed a few years ago. It is odd that it took so long to find this place when it was hiding in plain sight, in a strip mall we go to quite often. So, it really doesn't look like much from the outside and if you aren't looking for it you will probably miss it (like we did). From the outside it looks like a small hole in the wall, but inside there is a surprising amount of space. They have a good size dining room with a real pizza joint ambiance. There is an arcade off to the side in an alcove so the noise from the games isn't overwhelming. So far we have only had the pizza and it was great. The sauce was nicely seasoned (not sweet tomato sauce) and the italian sausage also had a delicious earthy seasoning going on. We will for sure be back to try more of the menu items that seem to be winners as well from other reviews. read more

Upper Crust Pizza has been in the Vista community for years. This resturant has supported and sponsored many different sports teams and high school programs. When my daughter was in Vista High Regimental Marching Band, the resturant would stay open later than normal for all the band members and family's to eat after the game and review the bands performance on the big TV screen. You place your order at the front window and take a table. They bring the food out to you. The plates, silverware, napkins, salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes are on shelves on both side of the resturant. You help your self. They give you beverage cups and you feel and refill your drinks. Their food is wonderful too! With a selection of pasta's, salads, subs and of coarse Pizzas!! All items are excellent! We have been coming for years! What we have really come to appreciate is the Monday and Tuesday night specials. Monday night is a generous serving os Spaghetti with marinara or meat sauce and a very generous side salad with garlic bread for $9.99. Tuesday night is a meat Lasagna with a generous side salad and garlic bread also for $9.99. They both are excellent value for the money. Very generous and filling, and delicious to boot. I know they have a family meal deal that is also a great value and makes bringing a family affordable. I have never found their bathrooms to be messy. Always well stocked and clean. There are plenty of tables and booths. Two large TV screens for watching sports are up on walls. They offer beer and wine. read more

So disappointing when you can't wait for your favorite pizza and it's made wrong. I have loved the Pizza Lite. Less of everything. Thin crust with half the cheese and veggies. I know, not most peoples idea of pizza but we like what we like. So anxious to dig into my medium pizza lite tonight only to find out it was made with the regular dough and it more than a teaspoon of cheese. I'm not driving back to the store so I just will call it a loss. read more

This review is for their chicken wings only!! All of their other food is really delicious!!! So I just ordered 12 wings and they were the worst wings I've ever had in my life!! I'm not even exaggerating. They taste like they were boiled and then a little bit of sauce was thrown on top of them. The chicken wing had no crust, they were literally sauceless when they were supposed to be a mild sauce. The texture of the wing was soft, sticky and gooey like I said earlier.. like they were boiled or something. Maybe they were thrown in the oven after being boiled but like I said those are some of the worst wings ever. Me and my wife ate three wings each because we were hungry but we threw away the other six. I don't know if I caught them on a bad day or on a busy day but I will definitely not order wings from upper crust ever again.. their Pizza is one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted they're lasagna is very tasty and everything else on their menu that I've tried is really really good so I don't know what the heck is going on with these wings. read more

This was our first visit here and only came here bc our kids wanted pizza and we are staying over at Welk resort. We got a anti salad which was prob the best thing from to nights dinner. We ordered a large meat lovers.. holy hellllll this pizza was so heavy not from the meat but from the dough !!! The dough was so thick and heavy it takes away from the pizza... i'm a Jersey girl so I like my pizza thin.. and this was far from that. We most likely will try another pizza place when we are in the area at our time share.... read more

This is a staple in Vista. I feel I am biased to the food because when I walk in it brings me back to when I was a little girl and we would come after my brothers little league games. I like their pizza and salads. Simple but delicious. Like I said, it could be, because I grew up with it and once I take that bite it takes me back in time to that time in my life when nothing was complicated.... Haha It's a great family place! To watch games, have some grub and chill. Happy yelping mis amigos read more

Delicious pizza, beer, and half and half salad. This has been a family favorite for years

I've tried and tried to give this location an honest attempt to write their wrong. However three strikes and I'm gone now. First time was about a couple years ago and there was a hair inside my pizza that I show them and they quickly just gave me my money back with no apology just a "here" type attitude. The next two times which was recently this year in the last 60 days - one time the pepperoni pizza was so greasy and oily the box was dripping outside. The top of the pizza was just lined with it as well. The second time the BBQ chicken pizza had pizza sauce and BBQ sauce mixed together? It should only be BBQ sauce and the chick was like in crumbs and tasted old. The onions were just lumped in the center of the pizza not spread out. Felt like someone just throw stuff down and threw it in the oven. My honest opinion is do yourself a favor drive about 5 mins up the road to the Oceanside location that is not associated with this one. There you will have a 5 start experience and is my normal go to place for Pizza! read more
