The thing I appreciate most is that they start appointments on-time & seem to do a thorough job. A vision technician does the preliminary things & then the optomotrist finishes & writes a prescription for glasses. With my insurance, there's no out-of-pocket cost for this exam, but I'm sure that wouldn't be the case for everyone. They also sell/make glasses, which seem pricey, but I feel to be of high quality.

Over the years he's referred me for additional testing, as needed and he's fully gained my trust and respect for his professionalism and skills. He's very personable and easy to carry on a conversation and laugh with - great attributes in a doctor who spends a good part of the exam less than 10 inches from your face! When I need glasses, he has gotten my prescription perfect every time. The adjustment period to the new lenses has literally been just a few minutes. I've always found frames I loved at his office easily, too. The office staff are always pleasant and personable and Beth can do a quick fix on some maladjusted frames in a matter of seconds anytime I stop in for a tweak. The office is great about processing all the eye insurance claims and the patient never has to get involved. Going to this office for my father's cataract referral, it definitely feels like a factory. You'll go from the main waiting room to an exam room, but after the eye dilation there, you wait in another area before being called to a different exam room to finally meet with the doctor. Plenty of people were waiting along the way. Although my father hasn't had his cataract surgery yet, scheduling took way too long. You're told to wait three weeks to expect a call from the scheduler, but I never did hear from them. Four weeks after his appointment, I left two voicemails for the scheduler who never did call me back. I finally reached them on a call five days later. Plan to not have your surgery until about two months after your initial visit, and pack your patience when calling the scheduling department; they weren't too polite.

Her staff is very nice too and they are super helpful and courteous. I need to see a specialist and the staff called and made my appointment for me. How wonderful was that?! They have a nice selection of glass frames to choose from in their waiting area. They were super careful about checking patient temperatures and asking COVID related questions and they supported social distancing to a great extent. I felt very safe there. From the moment I walked in and said hello, she was grumpy and unfriendly. I arrived early for my 10:00 a.m. appointment. Even though I had been to this office last year, she asked me to fill out the forms again, which I did. I also called my insurance company and provided the information she requested. After that, before they even looked up the insurance information I had provided, another staff member told me I had to reschedule my appointment. Since it was only around 10:15 a.m., I asked why I needed to reschedule when my appointment had been at 10:00 a.m. I was filling out the forms and calling my insurance company. I explained that I had recently had a baby, had made the effort to come to the appointment, and had done my best to provide the information they needed. As I was leaving, I thanked them for their help, wished them a nice day, and said that I did not want to receive a bill for a visit where I was not seen. Instead of calmly addressing my concern, the front desk staff called out across the front desk toward the door to defend herself. The entire experience felt unprofessional and disappointing.

She recommended that I check in with a Glaucoma Specialist when she found that I have narrow angles. Once my exam was over I was able to look at frames. I had my heart set on a certain pair and they had them. It only took a few minutes for Desi and Tim to measure for my progressive lenses. Their are a lot of lens options. I decided to try a new transition option where they transition up to 30% when wearing them inside a car. Typical transition lenses normally don't transition when you are inside of a car. After I was done with my purchase I checked out the men's glasses since both of my boys wear them. My oldest son takes after me and is always looking for fun/funky frames.
