Doctors YES. 5 stars…read more Office staff not so nice. 2 stars EYETIQUE eyeware - Sue Lies and does not care one bit about the client. Not even worth a star

I called and scheduled an appointment, gave my insurance information to the scheduler who verified…read morethey accepted. I called my insurance company and confirmed the doctor and facility were in network and got a referral. I was called from the office that my appointment needed to be canceled and rescheduled and the next available was 2 months out. I alreadyed waited 4 months but ok. Showed to the appointment and was turned away because they wouldn't accept my insurance. I asked why when this was verified at scheduling? The receptionist could only say i was told no. I asked why they didnt call me before hand? Why didnt you verify my insurance before I showed up and wasted my time? She said i dont know, i dont do that. I asked to call her billing department and she said theres no department, just people who work from home. I asked if they had a phone number and she did give. No one would tell me why they wouldnt take my insurance and waiting 6 months for this appointment to be told then. Absolutely ridiculous. The receptionist had little to no knowledge and could only offer me a sticker for my trouble. Then 3 days later i received and automated text stating it was time to schedule my next appointment. This place is a joke. I cant speak for the doctors but the office staff are costing you time and money.

I've had glasses since I was a teeny kid, so I'm not new to this. The support staff who guided me…read morethrough my eye tests was very sweet and patient when I asked for a RE-DO. Dr Lindsay McCauley is professional, courteous and a wonderful soul. I had expressed some concerns last year, and though I forgot to bring them up again this year, she checked for them and assured me anyway. Dennis, who is THE person to help you choose the right frame for your face and personality, has the patience of a saint!! I LOVE going to the Wexford office. The frame I got there last year, earned me compliments from strangers throughout the year! Honestly, I couldn't wait to go back and find another gorgeous pair of glasses. I like that I don't have to take my hubby (and kids) to help me choose what looks good on my face. Trust me, you want to check them out.

Since when is a customer treated like an enemy for simply raising a concern and asking a question?…read more The front desk staff was unprofessional and rude yesterday. From the moment I walked in and said hello, she was grumpy and unfriendly. I arrived early for my 10:00 a.m. appointment. Even though I had been to this office last year, she asked me to fill out the forms again, which I did. I also called my insurance company and provided the information she requested. After that, before they even looked up the insurance information I had provided, another staff member told me I had to reschedule my appointment. Since it was only around 10:15 a.m., I asked why I needed to reschedule when my appointment had been at 10:00 a.m. I was filling out the forms and calling my insurance company. I explained that I had recently had a baby, had made the effort to come to the appointment, and had done my best to provide the information they needed. As I was leaving, I thanked them for their help, wished them a nice day, and said that I did not want to receive a bill for a visit where I was not seen. Instead of calmly addressing my concern, the front desk staff called out across the front desk toward the door to defend herself. The entire experience felt unprofessional and disappointing.

My family of 6 has been going to this practice for several years. We have some "normal" eye needs…read moreand some very complex ones within our family. The staff has always been top notch with professionalism, explaining tests and procedures, and handling our insurances and financial obligations without delay or problems.

My younger Son had been seeing Dr. Masucci for about 4 years. He has an eye disorder that her…read moreoffice treats. He had eye therapy and it was fairly successful. My first issue in her office came when they openly said in the office when I was trying to schedule the next session that we needed to make payment first. I could understand if it was a big amount of money, but the copays were going to total around $150, so the plan was to save the FSA paperwork for one shot. Nope, she would not allow it. I told her I thought it was a petty policy, but we stayed and put up with it since my Son already knew her and her skillset fit what we needed. Fast forward to 2024. I call to schedule both of my Sons for an appt. We have only had Dr. Masucci (I had no idea she had partners). My Son with the eye disorder would of course be scheduled with the specialist he has seen since starting right?? Nope. The office scheduled it with one of her partners without asking for permission first (again, I had no idea there even were partners). When I questioned this, Dr. Snyder told me "they put it in the text message to confirm." Okay, yes, I saw they did include it (after the fact), but who reads the confirmation texts if you believe you are set for YOUR provider?? If this is their rationale, it is sneaky and unethical as we NEED awareness of who will be providing the service. We are not just our payments!! So, I said we would wait for Dr. Masucci, but she reportedly refused to see us as her own schedule was booked. I allowed the appointment to move forward as it was in the best interest of my child who was experiencing acute eye symptoms (and got no remedy or suggestions from Dr. Snyder btw). Dr. Snyder said she conferred with Dr. Masucci prior to the appt. I still think this is not good enough. I'll bet that if Dr. Masucci walked into her stylist and was given one she never knew about, would she feel comfortable allowing that person to do her hair, or would she be upset and feel deceived? If we expect the same stylist, we NEED to expect the same doctor. When my mom goes to her oncologist, she sees THE SAME oncologist despite being in remission. Why? Continuity of care is IMPORTANT.. esp for children!! I made a complaint to Highmark and I believe that I am fair to say we feel like this was a "bait and switch." We expected one thing and, due to error or lack or transparency, we got someone different. I well understand that mistakes can happen, so I asked for a remedy. Dr. Masucci never bothered to come out of her office or exam room for the (more than an) hour we were there. We were never given the respect of her trying to develop a resolve. When I make a mistake, I make it right.. sometimes that means having a late appointment past business hours. That's just the way it goes when you own your business.. sometimes we need to extend some decency to the patient, esp of the patient isn't the one responsible for the mistake!! Nope. Nothing. Crickets. I called today (day after appt) to ask for my kiddo's prescription and his medical records, along with all billing records. They did call me back. However, it was not to apologize or to get a resolve and have my kiddo get seen earlier than 22 more days (her earliest appt) by the doctor with whom we scheduled.. oh, no.. they called for PAYMENT! Seems to be a running theme, at least in our experience. I'm also not fond of a few of her staff. I can well understand Chris' comment on this site regarding the treatment by her staff.
