I called and scheduled an appointment, gave my insurance information to the scheduler who verified…read morethey accepted. I called my insurance company and confirmed the doctor and facility were in network and got a referral. I was called from the office that my appointment needed to be canceled and rescheduled and the next available was 2 months out. I alreadyed waited 4 months but ok. Showed to the appointment and was turned away because they wouldn't accept my insurance. I asked why when this was verified at scheduling? The receptionist could only say i was told no. I asked why they didnt call me before hand? Why didnt you verify my insurance before I showed up and wasted my time? She said i dont know, i dont do that. I asked to call her billing department and she said theres no department, just people who work from home. I asked if they had a phone number and she did give. No one would tell me why they wouldnt take my insurance and waiting 6 months for this appointment to be told then. Absolutely ridiculous. The receptionist had little to no knowledge and could only offer me a sticker for my trouble. Then 3 days later i received and automated text stating it was time to schedule my next appointment. This place is a joke. I cant speak for the doctors but the office staff are costing you time and money.

Dr. DiMarco is great. He is very thorough! He is direct and no nonsense. He worries about his…read morepatients. They DO take eye insurance for regular eye exams. And don't unnecessarily charge your health insurance for routine yearly exams. They bill legitimately. The staff are very nice and efficient. Highly recommend.

I've been going there annually since moving to PGH & have not had any negative experiences. One…read morething that did change after two years was that my final exam was initially done by an opthamologist & that changed to an optomotrist after the first two years, but for me that's fine. The thing I appreciate most is that they start appointments on-time & seem to do a thorough job. A vision technician does the preliminary things & then the optomotrist finishes & writes a prescription for glasses. With my insurance, there's no out-of-pocket cost for this exam, but I'm sure that wouldn't be the case for everyone. They also sell/make glasses, which seem pricey, but I feel to be of high quality.

Dr cheng is a good doctor and we will continue at the practice. However, With the exception of one appointment we have always had a 2 plus hour stay - which seems excessive for checkups. She does not care at all about what a patient wants or needs. Eyetique is Not the same entity. I wish I would have known because now I lost my insurance $ after returning glasses that did not fit my face and cant use my allowance. She could care less. Rushes you and just makes up a receipt that does not even make sense. I want my Insurance amount so I can use it, and she told me I would receive a credit. Then told me a different answer when i returned the glasses. Just very unfair to lie about it to make a sale. I will get this straightened out but with no help from her.
