We have both had 2+ appointments with him and are more than pleased with our decision. He is thoroughly professional and knowledgable, the appointments are on time and never rushed, and his office staff is first rate as well. His appointment costs are very reasonable, as are prices for both contact lenses and eyeglasses. The office itself is also very clean and organized (especially in the display section with frames), and I see them cleaning well after each phase of my appointment. A special thanks to the staffer who spent a long time helping me to choose a pair of frames, her knowledge and suggestions were very appreciated from the fairly indecisive patient!

I had been in a car accident and having lots of visual issues and was having a ton of vestibular and convergence problems. Because I didn't hit my head in my accident, I figured I was okay, but I wasn't. Dr Rodriguez figured out that I had post concussion syndrome, and helped me find a Vision therapist to help me heal and regain normal eyesight. Since then, he asks me every visit how I am. He has my best interest in mind, and always makes sure that my sight is perfect when I leave. He is extremely friendly and is so personable, which makes my visits enjoyable. I've had some visual changes with aura due to my migraines, but he has squeezed me in to make sure everything is okay. I have diabetes, and every year he carefully examines my eye health, and I get peace of mind knowing my pressure is in a great range! His staff always greet you by name and never push you to buy anything. They are very helpful and compassionate, and their recommendation for a blue light filter coating (prevencia) for my glasses has helped my neurological pain a lot! I've always been a contact lens girl, but because they offered me this lens option last year, I wear my glasses a lot more often because they are so comfortable! They even allow you to bring in your own frames purchased outside of their practice to get lenses put in. I love that I have that option. I highly recommend Optometric Care. It's a comfortable and intimate setting where you are treated much better than the larger chain stores. Dr. Rodriguez truly cares about his patients and will take fantastic care of you!

He's thorough, up to date with technology, personable and able to explain options clearly. I trust him with my eyes. And trust is an important thing in doctors, accountants, financial advisors, and auto mechanics especially. Dr. Tom rates at the TOP. No longer do you have to look through lenses and have one after another glass lens plopped in front of you and "better" or "worse" it. Now it's all automated and the finite adjustments with the computer controls make it a sure thing that you'll get the best prescription possible. And a good eye exam goes way beyond just walking out with a prescription!! Digital retina scans and advanced glaucoma screening allow you to know that you've had a thorough exam and that your eyes are in great hands. Highly recommended!

Over the years he's referred me for additional testing, as needed and he's fully gained my trust and respect for his professionalism and skills. He's very personable and easy to carry on a conversation and laugh with - great attributes in a doctor who spends a good part of the exam less than 10 inches from your face! When I need glasses, he has gotten my prescription perfect every time. The adjustment period to the new lenses has literally been just a few minutes. I've always found frames I loved at his office easily, too. The office staff are always pleasant and personable and Beth can do a quick fix on some maladjusted frames in a matter of seconds anytime I stop in for a tweak. The office is great about processing all the eye insurance claims and the patient never has to get involved. Cargill Eyecare deserves my highest recommendation and I've also heard from many people that Dr. Tom is great with kids, too!

I asked the woman who helping me purchase contacts if they had replacement nose pads, she said yes & said that she can put the new nose pad in. She took my sunglasses into the other room & while replacing the nose pad, slipped with the tool she was using, broke off part of the prong that holds the nose pad in & bent the wire part that connects the sunglasses to the nose pad holder. Since then, I've been back 2 times to have the wire part adjusted & told nothing can be done for the broken prong. Since the nose pad isn't held in securely, I asked if the sunglasses can be replaced. I was told no because they were not purchased there & the brand isn't in network. I said they weren't broken before that incident & she told me that they shouldn't have worked on them since they weren't purchased there. I get that but it's not my fault that the woman offered to change it out & broke them. Of course these are my prescription sunglasses, too. The doctors here are good but I am very unhappy with how this situation was handled. I don't think it's fair to punish the customer for the employee's mistake.
