Awesome place to grab a healthy bite to eat. I love the bachelor bowl the most. Their fountain drinks are also very refreshing. Only con is the parking lot. Spots are super narrow and it's always packed. I'm on the petite side and I kid you not, I can barely get out my car when I park. That's how tight the parking is. Upbeet is an incredible addition to the area. I'm lucky that I work nearby and can add this as a lunch option sometimes. When you first enter, you will notice that your salad bowls will be instagram worthy thanks to the included aesthetics ;) I was impressed for a location like this in Atlanta, the restaurant itself is spacious and includes plenty of seating. The lines are incredibly long since they are in their first few months of opening but it moves if the place is staffed well for the day. Next to Poke bowls, salad bowls from Upbeet are an added favorite of mines. I enjoy having the option of customizing my own salad with all the fresh ingredients that is offered. They have pre-made options available, but I stick with making my own since I'm very particular about my salads. You can start with your favorite type of fresh greens/grains as the base, 4 included fruits/veggies, protein (love the trout), premiums, dressing and the dry toppings. I'm shocked that I'm obsessed with the green goddess dressing as this complemented my bowl really well. In addition, they have a fresh juice bar in the front that includes refills. These are really refreshing to have with your meal. I really enjoy Upbeet and wish for multiple locations to expand. This place is the closest thing to Sweetgreen I can find in Atlanta. Overall atmosphere is very cute. It's very clean and modern. Food is overpriced (but that's expected of any salad bar restaurant). Salads are around $12. They have their menu and then you can make your own. Honestly, it's more worth it to order one of their menu items and maybe swap 1 of the items you don't want in it. Staff is generally nice. However it is TOO SLOW. I think they've been opened for almost 9 months (?) and it still takes me about 30 minutes to order a salad during peak times. To-go boxes are an extra $0.50 (be environmentally friendly!) so I'll opt to dine in. But that just adds to the amount of time I'm in a salad bar. I went here with a couple of my friends for dinner on a Sunday night. We arrived around 7:30, and the line was wrapped around the store. We waited about 40 minutes before we finally got to the front of the line. It's a pretty new restaurant, and I was dying to try it. I ordered the Steak Out. The base of the salad bowl was mesclun and romaine, and it was topped with tomatoes, chives, red onions, bacon, blue cheese, and steak. You can choose whichever dressing you want when you get down to that station. They were out of the balsamic vinaigrette (which is what they suggest pairing with it), so I opted for the homemade ranch instead. They're still working out some of the kinks though. They were out of avocados, several veggies, and a couple other sides when we got to the front of the line. They were also out of several dressings. The store manager was nice about it though, and he comped our drinks. The drinks are awesome! I sampled each of the juice refreshers, and they were all good. My favorites were the charcoal lemonade and the strawberry watermelon basil. I wasn't sure that a salad was going to be filling, but it really was! I wasn't able to finish the whole thing. A few months ago, a friend and I decided to meet up to catch up and discuss a common interest (photography & blogging). I suggested we try this fairly new spot that's all the rage called Upbeet to meet at. I'd heard the food was awesome and healthy, and that the decor was an "Instagrammer's wet dream". All I can say is... "they" were right. So, Upbeet is a restaurant that offers fresh food bowls, salad or grain based with fresh, organic ingredients. They also offer fresh pressed juices, kombucha, smoothies and other healthy beverages. They will also be offering beer and wine real soon. I was really impressed with Upbeet. The decor is so clean and fresh. The stark white walls with the wood accents gets a photo enthusiast like myself very excited. The food was absolutely delicious as well. I ordered the Aloha bowl and it was fantastic. I was saying to my friend that it's astonishing that such simple and fresh ingredients could taste so good! I also had the charcoal lemonade (lemonade infused with activated charcoal). It was decent. Just tastes like regular lemonade, but hey it's black lemonade--so, I just felt cool drinking it. I had been one other time and my avocado toast was pretty tasty! Today, I got an OG Açaí Bowl...and it was less than average. Beautiful display but it was bland besides the bee pollen. Thankfully I asked for honey before I left. And then had to add much more honey it was edible. Their food was great but the care and hospitality behind it made it better I ordered a few bowls and acai for delivery. They weren't able to reach me by phone to inform me they were out of a few items so they had left a hand written note and replaced it with more quantity. The thought and extra effort behind the issue instead of letting it go undirected meant a lot to me in regards to attention to detail. Their products were delicious also, especially the bowl with the sweet golden beets, fluffy quinoa, and soy tofu and more. Although I have been once before, today was my first lunch trip. It's definitely West Midtown's hottest lunch spot now, because the line was out the door, but my food and overall experience was worth the wait. I recommend the Aloha bowl (tuna, mango, jalapeños, etc.) and the Eggcellent (kale, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts,etc.) Today I tried the Thai Chia grain bowl with cabbage, snap peas, carrots, shrimp and Thai peanut dressing, which was also good. If you don't want a salad or grain bowl, they have a selection of smoothies and toasts, which I have yet to try. Looking forward to making a breakfast trip soon! The vibe and energy of Upbeet is what really makes it special. I love the aesthetic - bright white tile with stained wood and succulents - and the friendliness of the employees, who always introduce themselves before they begin making your bowl. Went here for the first time today and it was pretty good! I think that the salad line service was really great, they were quick and responsive. The only reason I took a star off is because the service at the açaí counter took a little while and the person helping me left and someone else finished up my order. I love healthy salad/grain bowl type of fast casual places, and I've been to many across the country. A few thoughts here: 1) it's way too expensive. A good portion of the salads and bowls are $15. For two salads and a kids bowl, we paid $39, which is crazy. As I said, I've been to a lot of these types of places and have yet to see prices this high. Once again, this is a fast casual restaurant. 2) I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad. Unfortunately, it was all heat, and drenched in it. It tasted like I was eating lettuce dipped in buffalo sauce....which I think most people would not want to eat. I thought the chicken might have some buffalo sauce, but the salad would have a light dressing to balance things out. I was wrong. Heat, heat, and more heat. 3) the menu is a bit wordy and confusing. Not terrible, but for a newcomer its hard to even know where to start. Pictures and simplicity would go a long way here I think. On the plus side, the staff was extremely polite and the ingredients tasted fresh. I have no doubt that had I ordered something else, I may have enjoyed it more. But to be fair, I did ask lots of questions before ordering, I think I just got guided in the wrong direction. read more

They don't just have lettuce to choose from the have spring mix and kale and sprouts and all types of things! Plus for a base instead of just brown or white rice they have bamboo rice! All of the ingredients look so fresh plus if you don't feel like being super creative and making a bowl they already have bowls you can choose from on the menu that look really yummy too! But what i really want to talk about here is the TOFU! Ok ultimate disclaimer I do not eat tofu. I avidly love meat and I can not lie! But I was able to sample( yea side note you can sample which is amazing) the tofu and it was SO GOOD! So good that I got it and loved it! It had SO much flavor I was amazed that I was eating tofu. For .5seconds I thought I could eat tofu for the rest of my life! Then I asked to sample the chicken and it was another flavor smack to the face! They really season their food here and if you are ever unsure just ask for a sample. Of everything haha, even sample some of their house made sauces and dressings for the meals! All in all I love it here! I came here after a workout and it was the best decision I could have made. I got so much food that I couldn't finish it and had to take some home. ( I of course devoured it once I got home) . They have outside seating plus you can bring your doggies too and have them sit outside. Pricing isn't bad. Also, their hours need updating because I went into get a salad to go at 10:35a and was told I couldn't get one because the salad bar doesn't open until 11a. YUM! I've had Upbeet in my bookmarks for weeks but had never made it in since it's not really in my part of town. So when a friend suggested we meet here for an early dinner Thursday night I was stoked! We met at about 6:00 and both got really lucky with parking. Two cars were leaving as we pulled in, but the 3rd friend that came to meet us had to park in the garage across the street. The best way to describe Upbeet is that it's like a classy, healthy Chipotle! They have tons of predesigned salads, grain bowls, and smoothie bowls, or you can create your own! I ordered the Thai Chia grain bowl but subbed romaine lettuce in for the kale. Some days you just aren't feeling kale ya know! The bowl was HUGE! The lemonade bar was also really neat. There were 5 different choices. Each was a bright color and carried an intriguing description. I chose the blue Majik lemonade and it was really good! Probably my new favorite local, fresh, quick restaurant in Atlanta. I've been three times and have generally had the same experience. The good: everything I've eaten has been delicious! I usually get the aloha Noel but change out different elements of it every time. Usually I'll do a brown rice + kale base. So far my favorite add-in has been the mushrooms! The Aloha bowl has a great spice to it but isn't overwhelming. The bad: parking is usually hard to come by so I end up having to park at westside ironworks, but once you're in the Upbeet lot it's hard to turn around in. The ordering process: sometimes the person helping you skips in front of the worker in front helping another customer causing you to jump them in line since maybe your bowl has less elements etc, it can get awkward with the person in line in front of you. Seems like they're out of drinks a lot- I've only been able to snag a can of nitro cold brew 1/3 times I'm rooting for you Upbeet! read more

The wait to get into this place is no joke. First time I came at a totally off-peak hour and still waited about 10 minutes. However, it gives you plenty of time to ogle the menu and change your mind about what you're going to order at least 45 times (after spending a good chunk of my afternoon staring at the menu online). I heard the staff is really welcoming and encourages you to customize and add/subtract ingredients to your liking. I haven't really had this experience and felt quite rushed along both times I was here, but everyone was still very polite. So far I've tried the Aloha Bowl and the Curry Up bowl. Both VERY good! Love the added touch of macadamia nuts in the aloha bowl. I also added cilantro. The curry up bowl I got as-is and it was amazing. It was also huge and served as my dinner two nights in a row. I tried the black charcoal lemonade and the pink lemonade as well. Love both but they are pricey! I saw they have gluten free beers and wine available so I'd love to come back for a night out. It seems most places will just open up some cans of ingredients, toss it together for you. Upbeet actually takes care onto each ingredient they put out. Ingredients are organic, non gmo, grass fed, sustainable, and etc. I love that they have hot options in addition to the usual cold items. There are many protein and dressing choices as well. Most of the dressings are vegan. If you are unsure you can always ask to try before you decide. My favorite is Detox. There are also juices, açaí bowls, and avocado toast on the menu.
