Big Kid Cider

We love the Big Kid Cider - Mix it in with hot apple cider packets and some honey and you're set! We always recommend Up North!

Up North just won best distillery in North Idaho, and for good reason. The owners are crafting truly unique spirits made from honey, apples, malts, and even pine cones. Highly recommend getting the Gauntlet Flight and trying all 9 of their spirits. The owners are very nice people who are passionate about creating great products!

A cozy award winning craft distillery specializing in brandy, whiskey and honey spirits. Tastings range from the apple brandies to the aged whiskey, $8-$12 for a flight of three. Fruits, honey and grains are locally sourced, hand batched and super smooth to enjoy both in a cocktail or a snifter. Bottles of spirits can also be purchased in the shop next door. Their cocktail menu is absolutely amazing, and offers a unique range of flavors and unique concepts. Must try: Walnut ginger old fashioned - Barrel reserve honey spirits muddled with fresh ginger, walnut bitters and demerara Smoke in the Meadow - Barrel reserve honey spirits St. Germain and bitters Served in a cedar smoked glass This is a must do for spirit and cocktail lovers!

I love these little hidden gems. Such a cozy place to have some serious upscale cocktails! These guys also run, or own or supply, not 100% sure, The Bees Knees in Hayden, another of our favorites when we're feeling bougee! Great place to unwind. The summer time usually sees a local food truck out there.

An excellent Old fashioned!

We had so much fun here and were so glad we drove out from Coeur d'Alene to check it out! It was definitely one of our favorite experiences during our stay in the area. Our bartender was amazing - knowledgeable about all things alcohol and fun to chat with. That's exactly what we hope to find when we walk into a distillery and sit at the bar! We thought he might have been part owner based on his knowledge and comfort level, but he said he had only been there for maybe 4 months! What a find for Up North Distillery! When we couldn't find a bourbon distillery, we decided to check out this place which specializes in honey spirits. We weren't too sure what to expect and I'd have to say we were pleasantly surprised. We tasted a couple of their spirits and liked the fact that they weren't sweet like we had guessed they would be. I think they are definitely a place people should check out and definitely don't prejudge if you've never had their spirits before. If you're unsure of what to order, hubby and I would certainly recommend the old fashioned made with their spirits instead of bourbon.

Tastes of the honey as well as the apple spirits were fabulous! Randy took time to explain the process and I walked away feeling educated! Grabbed a long sleeve hoodie and a fifth of the apple bourbon! We will be back again one day!

Parking lot was full, but, fortunately got a spot on the street right in front of the building on Spokane St. We're both disabled so not an option to walk very far. Food and service were both great! Savannah was very patient & attentive! Friend had the pulled pork tacos. She gave me a taste of the pork with some of the bbq sauce...excellent! I had the Flamin PBJ burger. Really good with just a bit of a kick. Really didn't taste the peanut butter (except when it got in my hand), probably because of the jalapeno strawberry jam. But it was a perfect ratio of burger to bun to sauce. Definitely recommend both. We had the potato dippers with both and we also each had a cup of their homemade chili, which was very very good. The potato dippers are not your typical fries. Not sure what kind of machine (?) cuts them up, but, they are delicious and outstandingly tasty when you use the chili as a dip! We were also impressed with the selection of mocktails. The No-jito was really refreshing with the mint & lime and not sweet at all. Loved it! Friend had the Donkey and really liked it too. We look forward to returning with a bunch of our friends.

Cauliflower tacos which were sweet, acidic, crunchy perfection. 5/5! My husband had the mole bowl and said it was solid 4/5. This…read moreplace has popped up on my feed numerous times since I arrived in town, and decided to check it out. This restaurant is actually an old house that got turned into a restaurant. It is a historical site, I didn't read too much in depth about what it was, but if it's for hot chicken sandwiches, then I can see why. Walking into the place was like walking into someone's home. Literally. It was super warm and inviting, had kind of a rustic feel, and just Good vibes all the way around. I got seated at a table, and started looking over the menu. There was only one waitress there, and she was running around like a crazy woman trying to take care of tables. Tables. She did a great job though so my hats off to her for making sure that every table felt like they were taken care of. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich with fries, and a diet Coke. Because hey, I have to watch out for my girlish figure. The sandwich came out, as well as my drink right on time. And so I Dove right in. For starters, these were some of the best french fries I have ever had. I'm pretty sure they're using Lowry's seasoned salt on them, but I can't be sure. Whatever it was. They were super tasty and super crispy without having to be asked for them. Crispy The chicken sandwich itself was great, had a great buffalo sauce on it and had just the right amount of coleslaw and pickles. Every bite was a wonderful experience. I love finding cool new places that I can share with the world, and this is definitely one of them. If I am ever in the Post Falls area again, this will be one of my stops to get a bite to eat. Bottom line? If you are ever traveling through Idaho and find yourself in Post Falls, I would highly recommend you go to this place. Service was great, the chicken sandwich was awesome, and I would love to try some of the other things on the menu.
