The project was completed quickly and at the quoted price. Although this was not the lowest quote we received, Dmitrii's honesty during the consultation phase helped earn our trust. (He accurately flagged that one idea we had in mind for our project--adding stucco over existing cinderblocks--should first be evaluated by a masonry expert. He was right: we consulted a masonry expert who confirmed that the stucco would not have lasted long on that surface, and it would've been a waste of money. Other fence companies were willing to do the stucco work and didn't alert us to the need for a masonry expert.) We will be coming back to HandyMaestro for our future fence projects.

Our home has teak trim and architectural features. Many of the surfaces that get a lot of sun exposure needed work. Indy came out, evaluated what needed to be done, and Teak Master promptly sent an estimate. The senior crew supervisor was Indy, and our crew consisted of Andres, Arturo, Samuel, Abidan, and Juan. They were here for three days, sanding and refinishing the teak. As an example of their attention to detail, my wife has a lot of potted plants on the patio. It was no surprise that they moved all the potted plants out of the way. The surprise came at the end, when Indy took out his phone, looked at the photo he had taken three days earlier, and directed the crew as they put every plant back in its original position! Nobody else has ever done that. And, on the day the trash was collected, I left the barrels on the driveway, to give the crew more room in the side yard. After they left, the barrels were back where they belong. It's the little things. Although Indy and I had examined the house in advance to determine the scope of work, as they were wrapping up Indy looked at the garage doors and pointed out that after refinishing the other areas, the doors looked a bit shabby. He was right. I look forward to having them back in a few weeks.

In the end we went with Globus not just because their gate was superior in quality with their double-sided hinges, HD frame, and clean mitered edges, or because they had the best price (which didn't hurt), but because we genuinely liked working with Chris. We are already discussing our next project with him. Literally just had another professional come by for a different project and he liked their work and the quality of their gates so much, he's contacting them. He himself installs fences and gates. That speaks volumes and made us feel even more confident in the work we got done. Also, Sergei is a beast. He got the gate installed all by himself in one day. Even people I don't know at Costco who liked the faux wood metal finish.
