Finally made it to Uno Mas on a taco Tuesday! Normally I get a bowl since I don't come on Tuesdays, but I finally had an opportunity to try their street tacos. Been dying to try their tacos. On Tuesdays they do a BOGO deal which is amazing since you can get 4 pretty decent sized tacos for about $13. I think that's a bargain. For tacos I ordered two carnitas, a chicken, and a shrimp taco. As an appetizer I order their chips and guac. For drink I got a lime jarrito. The jarrito was refreshing as expected, and brought back memories to my childhood. The chips and guac were also great. Guac was extra salty, but I didn't mind and happily devoured the appetizer. Now for the tacos... I was pretty disappointed in the food. The experience itself was great. They accidentally gave me a barbacoa taco and I advised my waiter I couldn't eat beef, so they brought me the correct meat and fixed it. Super friendly and quick with the fix! Carnitas tacos - these tacos were very dry. Authentic carnitas are typically moist and the meat is cooked in its own fat or lard. The taste felt pretty close to authentic, but I think they may have overcooked the meat. Chicken taco - the meat looked like it came from a baked chicken breast and then sliced into smaller pieces. I don't have a problem with this. But the chicken itself was also dry. The flavors were good, but it didn't quite make it to the finish line for me. Camaron/shrimp taco - this was my favorite out of the three I tried. The slaw on top, and the spicy mayo they made was delicious. My biggest pain point with this taco is I only saw two tiny salad shrimps and the rest was slaw. I would have liked more shrimp since they were tiny, and then I'm not biting into a bunch of slaw. Overall the tacos were a 2/5 for me. Guac was a 5/5. I'm going to stick with the bowls in the future and forego any taco orders. read more

Went on a Friday at 4:30- was able to still order off the lunch menu. Inside was clean & a cutely decorated. We ordered the chip trio with salsa, guacamole & queso dip for $15. I ordered 2 tacos & rice & beans for $16. The service was fast & friendly. The dips were good we liked the guacamole the best it had a strong lime flavor. My tacos were pretty good but def had a ton of filling with a very tiny tortilla. I would likely try something different next time. read more

Food - We got two bowls (the Monroe and the Camino i think it was called) both were so/so. They lost 2 stars for three reasons -- #1 the rice in the bowl was basically white rice, maybe it was cilantro rice or something but basically white rice which as mexicans we felt was a bit of a top sin for a mexican restaurant. #2 we asked for tortillas on the side which they gave us which was great but they were just tortillas from the grocery store, have had them 1,000 times. If i were to have gotten tacos and they gave me grocery store tortillas i would have been pissed. #3 I got a mango agua fresca and it was basically store bought mango mixer/puree. A lot of short cuts were taken and it shows - for these reasons they got 2 stars taken off. We got the ceviche, loved it! a bit of a kick but great lime flavor. Definitely best thing we got. Service - Mikey helped us out and he was AMAZING, super nice and accommodating. Made us feel at home and was very helpful and friendly. Also, Uno Mas has a very good social media presence and I love that they stay up to date with recent trends like hosting a Love Island watch party-- keep doing epic stuff like that and I'll give yall another shot! The initial opening of this location was already worse than the original Wonder Building spot. I decided to try it again recently, now that they're more established, and it has only degraded. The carnitas were sad and dry, the service was inattentive and slow on a non-busy day. The queso was rather watery. Even the mood of the place was off. It was too quiet, and rather cold. I see less and less reason to be excited about Uno Mas with each visit. I mourn the Wonder Building taco stand, which was absolutely delicious every time. Avoid this restaurant. read more

If you're a street taco fan, you have to check out Uno Mas' new flagship location on Monroe (tucked behind the new Indaba on Knox)! The restaurant is pretty spacious with a private event room you can rent upstairs. We came in mid-week and were seated immediately but in no way was the restaurant quiet or slow. Our servers were all kind and attentive but the real showstopper is the food. Do yourself a favor and get the spicy Mezcal margarita to start and then load up on the tacos. We sampled pretty much the entire taco menu and nothing disappointed. The flavors were fantastic and the portion sizes for each taco were surprisingly large! After 3 each, my husband and I were happily stuffed. We can't wait to come back and see how the menu evolves! My only criticism was I didn't love the guacamole but I'm pretty picky when it comes to my guac. That said, it was a hearty portion with chips for $4 and my husband enjoyed it fine. read more

Today was the first day Uno Más offered brunch! They will be offering brunch on Sundays. I ordered the Boozy Barista drink. It was very sweet! But if you don't like bitters, I wouldn't recommend. I ordered the horchata fresh toast - wow!! So soft and delicious. Came with a side of breakfast that were seasoned well! I also ordered a side of KC bacon. Had a great flavor, but if you're expecting crispy bacon, this might not be for you. Service was great and we will definitely be back. read more

Food was horrible,cold, dry meat and so so black beans and white rice. Service was sad. Waitress frowned when my friend said there was a big group of us. Not a fan of my food being on a metal tray and 2 bowls. Unappealing. Salsa and chips are no complementary. When asked for additional salsa for my tacos I was told there was salsa on them. Chairs are miserable. Not welcoming. It was dead in their not a good think at lunch for a business but now I know why. The owner was there and didn't seem to care my meal was dried out. Well, I will start by saying we love Uno Mas! We went in for dinner this past weekend though and to our surprise we no longer can get our favorite burritos or tacos. This is a huge bummer cause the new menu items we tried did not even compare to the old items which are now lunch only. The meat was flavorless and chewy ..normally its delicious! wife and I had been wanting to try this place since it opened. came in on 3/7/25. Ordered 2 steak tacos, queso and elotes. The tacos were big but the steak was under cooked and cold. For $10 per taco that is crazy. The biggest disappointment was the queso. We paid $14 and it comes in a little skillet With a basket of chips. The portion was so small it was crazy. Not enough cheese dip for a 1/4 of the chips. Very disappointe. The elotes was ok but idk if they are just trying to save money but the portion of cheese was again way off. Asked for some hot sauce like tapatio was was told they don't have it. over all bill was 63.00 so with tip over $70.00. Won't go back. Save your money and go to another place. read more

Awkward. Only one menu per table. Uncomfortable chairs. Server never brought the check, so we finally had to find her to pay her. Food delivered all orders mixed together on one large tray and then smaller cookie sheets provided instead of plates (?) Had to pay for chips. I've always loved Uno Mas. The food is always on point. I came in with my fiance and another couple Saturday night. Everything was great until we got our food. The server never came back to check on us. We had empty drinks and wanted a second round but we weren't offered. After cleaning the restaurant and avoiding us she came back cleared the table and dropped her servers tablet. She didn't ask if we were even ready to check out or needed anything else. According to your website your open till 9 pm Saturdays, so it's disappointing that we received absolutely no service and it was only 815 by the time we cashed ourselves out. The lack of service and communication left the group feeling very unwanted in the restaurant. This is the worse service I've ever received and we won't be back. If that's how you treat customers who just wanted to have a nice dinner and drinks we don't need to support that. read more
