Food - We got two bowls (the Monroe and the Camino i think it was called) both were so/so. They lost 2 stars for three reasons -- #1 the rice in the bowl was basically white rice, maybe it was cilantro rice or something but basically white rice which as mexicans we felt was a bit of a top sin for a mexican restaurant. #2 we asked for tortillas on the side which they gave us which was great but they were just tortillas from the grocery store, have had them 1,000 times. If i were to have gotten tacos and they gave me grocery store tortillas i would have been pissed. #3 I got a mango agua fresca and it was basically store bought mango mixer/puree. A lot of short cuts were taken and it shows - for these reasons they got 2 stars taken off. We got the ceviche, loved it! a bit of a kick but great lime flavor. Definitely best thing we got. Service - Mikey helped us out and he was AMAZING, super nice and accommodating. Made us feel at home and was very helpful and friendly. Also, Uno Mas has a very good social media presence and I love that they stay up to date with recent trends like hosting a Love Island watch party-- keep doing epic stuff like that and I'll give yall another shot! Ambiance - Super cute and fun, a great date night spot/great place to catch up with friends. Also love that's it's right next to Indaba, who doesn't love a coffee right after lunch?

Today was the first day Uno Más offered brunch! They will be offering brunch on Sundays. I ordered the Boozy Barista drink. It was very sweet! But if you don't like bitters, I wouldn't recommend. I ordered the horchata fresh toast - wow!! So soft and delicious. Came with a side of breakfast that were seasoned well! I also ordered a side of KC bacon. Had a great flavor, but if you're expecting crispy bacon, this might not be for you. Service was great and we will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, the flavors just didn't deliver. We ordered the fajitas, and the beef was so tough it was difficult to chew, and under seasoned to the point of being bland. The loaded birria (beef) and pescado (fish) tacos were equally underwhelming, also with very little depth of flavor or seasoning (even the dipping sauce didn't have any distinctive flavor). The birria had a pleasant texture, but was oily without the rich, savory flavor you'd expect. The fish taco was particularly disappointing. The mango salsa, cabbage, and spicy aioli looked promising, and I saved it for last hoping the fresh toppings would make it a standout. Instead, the fried fish was overwhelmed by the oil, which had an unpleasant, almost rancid taste. The mango salsa and cabbage were too subtle to provide the brightness and freshness needed to rescue the dish. It's a shame because the atmosphere, presentation, and service were all lovely. We genuinely wanted to make this our "go to" Mexican restaurant, but the food fell well short of our expectations.

I got the fried chicken taco wjth a hazelnut matcha butter and Gorgonzola. Which was very yummy, then I got the pork belly with an asparagus salsa. Lastly I got two of the birria tacos. Overall the two street tacos were very good, perhaps both an 8/10 but the birria tacos were a little disappointing because their dipping sauce was basically flavorless. And the whole thing desperately needed salt. I ended up ditching the sauce and just using a bottled green sauce which was very yummy. Both my coworkers who also got the birria agreed it was not very good. They stuffed the tacos full of beef tho. The service was a little funky, we came in a big group and she insisted on taking all of our order at the same time and then had us pay separately after we all ordered, that required quite a bit of shuffling around among us 7, a bit confusing. Also, I ordered a soft drink and the bartender handed me a cup that was not full. Very strange. So I asked him to top it off, and his response was "sure, but just so you know, you get free refills" like okay? So because I get free refills you don't fill the cup up? Little strange, my coworker who witnessed it also thought it was weird. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely come back. Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Atmosphere 5/5

The birria is delicious and the most authentic I have had so far in any restaurant in the states. The staff is amazing. There is plenty of seating so even if it looks busy, there are still tables available. The food was amazing, the people were great, and I was excited to come back. Yesterday, my girlfriend and I planned a date night and decided to order from here again. Since we have kids, we did pickup. We drove about 25 minutes, then waited another 25 minutes because the line was packed which I didn't mind because the food was that good the first time. But this time? Completely different experience. I ordered a bean burrito with cheese... and it had no beans. Just rice and cheese in a tortilla. Then the nachos, honestly, for $27, this was unacceptable. Dry chips, unmelted cheese, some tomatoes thrown on top, no meat, no beans just thrown together with no care. It looked and tasted like an afterthought. What made it worse is the lack of accountability. I tried calling multiple times last night and again this morning no answer. Calls just ring or don't go through. I even tried calling from different numbers. Nothing. At this point, it's not even about the money it's the principle. Mistakes happen, but not being able to reach anyone or have them make it right is frustrating. I really wanted to keep supporting this place because the first experience was great, but this completely missed the mark. If you go, just be aware the quality and consistency might not be what you expect.
