Namely, they did not explain to me that they would be cutting the granite INSIDE THE HOUSE. There was a fine gray dust on every surface in my house, including everything in the lower kitchen cabinets. I would happily have removed all of that if I had been warned ahead of time. Then, the crew left my house on a Friday afternoon at 5:30 with my water turned off, explaining THEN that I would have to call a plumber to hook up my new faucet. It was at that point that I realized they had removed most of the plumbing under the sink, so that all had to be unnecessarily replaced, as well. Once that situation got resolved (after more than 24 hours with no water), I realized they had also left my stovetop/ventahood disconnected. All of this would have been fine if I had known ahead of time and had time to arrange for help. I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

This review is being posted with mixed feelings. I used this company to install a metal garage in…read moremy backyard a couple of years ago and have no complaints. However, when I called them to come and install a carport at my mom's house next door, they were very quick to take my deposit. The very next day we found out that my uncle on the other side of the country is on his deathbed. I subsequently called my rep to advise that we were going to have to cancel the installation because we need to use that money to fly the family out there to see my uncle before he passes. I was told that my deposit is nonrefundable, even though it was not mentioned verbally to me. It was apparently on the document that I signed, but obviously I didn't read every single fine print and it was not mentioned to me verbally. I am being told that the best they can do is hold a deposit for any future install. This is ridiculous to say the least. A death in the family is a pretty good excuse and this heartless company is holding onto the $400 deposit as if they had started actually working on the account. This was a day after the visit so they didn't even start cutting metal or anything. And oh yeah, not to mention, my mother is recently widowed, 87 years old, and relies on Social Security for her income. The manager that was supposed to call me back three days ago has not bothered to call me to discuss this at all. I am disinclined to ever use them again, and if anyone ever asks me about this company, I will gladly share this.

We scheduled an appointment for an estimate and they did not show up. When our realtor, who was meeting them there, called to ask where they were, they got rude and said we never set an appointment up. When she said we did and she made the 30 minute drive just to meet them there, the receptionist/office manager said, "Well, that's not my problem," and hung up on her. I called back and was quickly handed over to James the owner. When he started raising his voice and being rude to me, I had to tell him I was not being rude so there was no reason for him to be rude. He changed his tone then, but was not apologetic and said that we were the ones at fault and there was nothing he could do to help us out. He said I have highly efficient office managers and they didn't get this wrong. Apparently, sir, they did get this wrong as you lost a customer. I could have overlooked their mistake because they are people and we all make mistakes, but their lack of care, concern, and all around politeness instead earned them this review. I have never made a bad review of anything before because honestly I don't like to hurt the business of other people. I allow for mistakes and off days. This was more than a mistake, it was an attitude problem and issue.

They did a terrific job. During the February freeze when 4 pipes burst and flooded the first floor, they dropped everything to get out there to save the house. The owner came to my home looked over the house and I told him what we wanted done. He said he didn't know if he could do all we wanted with our budget. So I up'd our budget by 10K. When he got ready to leave he told me that someone from his business would be contacting me in a couple of weeks to come out and take some measurements and that if I had not heard from them within 3 weeks to give him a call, you have my cell phone number. Well, when I did not hear from anyone from him or his business within 3 weeks I called his office and was told he was in a meeting, so I left a message asking him to call me. The lady who answered the phone said it could be the next morning before he returned my call. I waited several days and he never called me. So, I called his cell phone and left a voicemail. I waited a few days and when he did not return my call I called his cell phone again, this time he answered. He told me he was in a meeting and would call me back in 30 minutes. That was over a week ago. In my view he is very unprofessional.
