We are very happy with our all new deck replacement. This is the main reason we indicate five stars. Four and a half stars more accurately reflect our overall experience. Our new deck and stairs have Deckorators brand Vista Ironwood planks which were beautifully installed on extremely sturdy, nice looking new supports. Because we encountered some delays due to specific railing material unavailability, the need to expand the scope of work needed due to more extensive support rot than anticipated, and an already very busy work crew, our project took longer and cost more than initially expected. We recommend Longview Decks as long as you are ok with similar situations and communicate your questions, concerns, and requirements as needed. read more

We were not treated as valued customers,on May 5th 2026 we meaning my husband and I contracted with Adam of Longview decks 506 Harrison rd, Longview tx to build our deck,we paid Longview decks a total of 5,350.00 to build our new deck, after completion there were discrepancy we were not pleased with,so with pictures and videos we asked Longview decks (Adam) to honor the 1 year warranty that is part of the contract with Longview decks,the wood was curving outwards/boards were splitting,and the 6x12 deck wall was not anchored to prevent the wall from shaking in high winds.may/June/July 2026 there is no resolve to these issues, Adams last response to our complaint was( his company doesn't do maintenance & the materials are a manufacturing issue.( our response to adam,was that your company sourced and provide the materials) that's in the contract! What good does it to pay $34K for a deck made of composite materials if you can't get warranty work done to maintain it? I am waiting for warranty repair on my deck for 14 months; my deck has boards that are loose and create trip hazard and on 12x16 section middle of the deck has a hump that creates water puddles on both sides. First year I had to call for warranty 3 times because incorrectly installed boards were popping out ( and they still are). For this pricing quality is simply not there. Last year 2024 in March person came in and evaluated the "hump" for warranty repair and they were ghosting me ever since. My last resort is the court so be warned! read more

Had a deck built towards the end of the summer. Discussed size and step along one side. Recieved an excellent bid and went ahead with the project. I should have asked to see the final plans as at some point the step was removed from the plan. After construction and seeing the missing step I asked out it and was told it was not in the plan or bid. OK. I understand that. I should have verified before the project started. I asked if they could build one and thaybwe woukd pay and was told sure and I'd get an estimate in a few days. Then nothing. After weeks finally got a response. They would get me that estimate. Nothing. Finally a phone conversation. Very apologetic, oh we'll get estimate too you. Nothing. If the job was too small and not worth the time they should have just told me instead of ghosting me. It's now October 25. Last contact was October 3. "Will get that over to you ASAP." I don't like being lied too. Deck looks good read more

What a shame that an almost wonderful experience turned into a major disappointment. The project began good after I waited extra time for their self-proclaimed "A team" which turned out to be just one guy. But he was good and I was happy with his work. Then...he had a disagreement with Longview Decks so he quit. Then I was stuck with their "B team" apparently. The general attitude of the project shifted from "quality" to "how fast can we finish this deck?" So, did they finish the deck? Sure. Was it a good quality job? Meh. Some of the wood they used started oozing sap in the heat (see pic), they broke my cover to an exterior wall socket (see pic), they left several holes for screws unfilled in the roof, the removed a couple trim pieces of wood without replacing them so it looks unfinished (See pic), they kept the remaining fasteners I bought that were not used (many), they also kept several large pieces of unused wood. I bought several gallons of paint for the project to match my existing structure; after they finished, they left me NO touch-up paint...not even the can I had before. But the REALLY sad point is: everything I just pointed out has been communicated to the company (they even sent management on site to inspect) and never returned my calls or emails. But they asked me for my review SEVERAL times...so here it is. The work itself was fair, but the several peripheral issues, cast a shadow on the whole project. read more

Longview Decks just finished a four season Sunroom 12x 34 for us a couple of days before Christmas - and we got to show our Family on Christmas Eve! It turned out beautiful - high quality - great crews and we could not be happier. We live in Denton, Tx - it is quite a ways for them to go and Denton inspectors are not the easiest to work with - but they got it done and we would always, always highly recommend Longview Decks!! read more

These guys are awesome! We put down a deposit for work on one home, but the house deal fell through, so these guys went to our new house an hour's drive further out to do the requested work. We hired Longview Decks based upon a thorough review of the options in our area as well as online reviews and Better Business Bureau research. They did an outstanding job building a beautiful front porch, back porch and carport on the house we just built (will try to find a way to post pictures of them). The crew they had out here was outstanding (especially Kevin) and in my opinion went above and beyond in taking what was a basic vision and turning it into a beautiful and fantastic reality. The attention to the tiniest of details on the woodwork and trim to suggesting better ways to do something I had requested made it turn out fantabulous. Quality work and skilled artisans are not cheap but Longview Decks was not the most expensive and they weren't the cheapest which tells me they know what they are doing and price accordingly and fairly based upon labor and material costs. I had a budget to work with and they helped me work within my budget and still created an outstanding product for our home. At the end I would use them again and I recommend them to anyone that asks if I know a company that does quality work and sticks to the plan. Lastly, had them come back and build me a well house that just rocks. Huge fold down door for easy access and removable roof parts to allow access to top of the tanks for repair. They pulled that together based upon a discussion of what I needed. Longview Decks is a great company, family owned small business that does huge jobs with great crews and outstanding final results.
