I called around to get several quotes and check availability before deciding to go with this company. The owner was very nice, I liked their Christian values, and the owner sounded like he knew what he was doing. I needed a mobile home re-leveled and new K-Roc skirting installed. He sounded confident that his company could do the jobs, so I hired them. The house leveling was pretty straightforward and the guys made easy work of it. They also addressed a water leak under the house we didn't know was there until they took the old skirting off. They did a great job with that and I was grateful. When it came to the skirting reinstall, that was another issue. I told the owner what skirting I wanted installed and he took care of ordering the supplies. Only thing was, he didn't know how to order what was needed correctly. He didn't get new tracks to install the sheets onto the house, he didn't order any ventilation to install (every mobile home or house on pier and beams has to have vents around the bottom), and his crew didn't seem to know how to install the stuff correctly. It was cold the day they came out to work on my house, and they tried to hurry. They did have to tear off the front porch because it was falling apart (which I gladly paid them to do) and they helped expose some areas at the front of the house that needed serious attention that we couldn't see until the porch was gone. They wrapped the job up into the evening hours as it was getting dark. Once it was daylight again though, the shoddy installation of the skirting was much more obvious. The panels looked wavy around parts of the house, panels on the backside were obviously uneven, and where they bent the corners to go around the house, there were melted places in the plastic skirting from heating it too much. It was only after I started reading up on the K-Roc and how to install it that I realized how sloppy they were and inept with ensuring everything was ordered to do the job right. I trusted they knew what they were doing and I was highly disappointed. I have another home with the same product installed several years ago by someone else that was done beautifully and looks amazing still after 6 years. I guess I expected the same thing with this house. Instead, it looks dilapidated only 2 months after they finished, and I'm working on finding someone else to come do the job right and make it look like it should. I'm spending money I shouldn't have to had they just done it right or known what they were doing. And to top it off, I hired one of their guys to rebuild a nice porch to go back on the front and to repair the water damage on the front of the house only to be further disappointed and disgusted. That job is a whole other story. It looks great from afar, but at close inspection, it looks like a child helped with the finishing touches. I was so angry with that job that I notified the owner of Risen that I'd pick up the final pieces of the K-Roc skirting from the supplier to finish the porch. The pieces had to be ordered because there wasn't enough in stock when the job started. But, when I sent someone to pick them up we found out another issue. I had to call the Risen owner to find out why we couldn't pick them up to have him tell me he hadn't paid for them yet. Integrity seems to be a problem with this company and it starts at the top. Everyone that works there are really nice, down-to-earth guys, but professionally, they need some training on securing customer trust and knowing which skill lanes they are proficient in. Overall, I'd recommend this company to level your house, but beyond that, find someone else. They did some things wonderfully on my house, and others were a disaster. read more
