After a refrigerator leak caused water damage to our engineered hardwood floor, I called three…read moredifferent flooring companies for an estimate on either a repair or replacement. Due to the age of the floor, and the unavailability of the existing floor product, we had to do a complete replacement. My wife and I were most impressed with Michael Yanez, owner of Best Budget Flooring and Remodeling, so we chose his company for our wood floor replacement. We couldn't be more impressed with the entire process. Best Budget replaced our engineered hardwood with luxury vinyl flooring. It only took Michael's flooring and painting teams three days to complete the project. The floor is approximately 1000 square feet. They moved all of our furniture, hung plastic to prevent dust from invading the rest of our home, removed the quarter round, removed the old floor, sanded and prepped the foundation, installed the new floor, repaired the water damaged baseboards, installed new quarter round, painted all of the baseboards, cleaned up after themselves, and moved all furniture to exactly where we wanted it. We were blown away with how quickly the project was completed. My wife and I absolutely love our new floor. Michael and his team were knowledgeable, professional and very courteous. Michael visited our home several times throughout the three days to make sure everything was going well. I couldn't be more impressed, and we would absolutely use Best Budget Flooring again. We highly recommend this outstanding company.

At the same time, we needed two new sets of French doors and all new windows in our 50-year old house. After some quotes, we went with Bullard Siding Co., Inc.. We can't say enough good about Chris, Drew, Justin and Jason. Our finished product looks amazing. We are so well insulated. Rain and gargantuan earth worms will no longer to be able to get in under the cracks of the doors. The windows should save us $$$ on heating/cooling bills. Plus they look nice, they're easy to clean and easy to open. We're pretty much going to live on the porch this summer. They were so friendly and professional, clear and communicative. percent recommend!!

However, there were a few problems: There is one area at the outer edge of the house the manufacturer specifically marked that there should be a support piling in that area. The piling was there, but was about 2" short. I had to add blocks to where it's actually supporting the house. Approx. 2 weeks later the floor is squeaking in an area that wasn't before. I had previously had tile guy evaluate the floor and he found it to be grossly unlevel. Davis came into the house and arrogantly shuffled his feet across the floor proclaiming he had 20+ years experience and said oh yeah it's unlevel. No measurements were ever made, just shuffled across the floor. I paid him about $12,000 dollars to level and tile the floor. When I had the base board trim installed I had gaps under the trim throughout the house. I called David about a week after trim install but he wouldn't answer. A week later I called again and got a hold of him. I told him what I had and asked if he would come by and look at it. He asked that I send pictures, which I did. He claimed he sent the pictures to several others and within 20 minutes he comes back and says that they all suggest shoe moulding. He refused to come and look at it. In short it appears that not enough leveling material was used. He even admitted during the work that it was worse than he thought and barely had enough material to cover the floor and he ended up leaving a couple of closets bare so he could get done. He claims that if covered it's level. So according to him it's within spec. Close is good! So according to David you have to trim your house twice.
