Hey Howzit? Love me some Hawaiian and island style food! Saw Unko's Kitchen with terrific Yelp reviews and just had to come. Asked if they ever heard of Unko Frank's in Las Vegas, and he said yeah but not affiliated. The braddah's were working hard and super helpful. Love the Hawaiian touches of art which jived well. Placed my order which some are cooked to serve. But it only took about 8 minutes walking out the door. They are located inside a corner of the Shell gas station. Getting ready to dip into these grindz. Stay turned.

My husband and I were originally craving teriyaki tonight but while on the hunt we came across Unko's Kitchen menu and had to order takeout from here (clearly my cravings changed lol). I had the combo wombo plate with the mochiko chicken (sooo goooood) and short ribs w/ side of mac and rice. Oh my goodness the Mac here is so good! The meat was all so flavorful and the Mac complimented everything perfectly. My husband got the katsu chicken curry (sauce on side to prevent getting soggy when delivered). This was also so so flavorful and the chicken was perfectly cooked. We will absolutely be getting food here again! I'll crave that mac salad and am glad I have so much for leftovers later!

Tucked away in this little gas station is a place called Unko's Kitchen. A place where Hawaiian cuisine meets the dine out aristocratics of Kitsap County. Service was amazing, food was delicious and the price was comparable to a McDonald's drive through.

After seeing all the generous and kind gestures that Unko's Kitchen has been doing for the community to help support those impacted by the govt shutdown and suspension of snap/ebt, I wanted to show this business some support. I'm so happy I did because I realized I had been missing out! The food here is so good! We ordered a sushi bake and chicken & beef teriyaki combo and they were delicious. I've had this place bookmarked to try for over a year now but just never remembered to try it. I'm so grateful I did. This place is going to be a regular dining option for my family and I hope more people are willing to try and support local businesses like this that look after the community.

The food used to be real good here but now the chicken has zero seasoning. Its so darn bland. The Mac salad is usually my favorite but now it tastes like there is no salt and pepper. Its gone down hill in the past year. Also, its not convenient at all that you have to order online only with a card, no options for cash pay. Not everyone has a card or money in the bank. Someone us only have cash. I think this is super bad customer service. Also, if you call in and ask any questions whatso ever , you get bullied by some guy thats pissed off if you even call in. They pressure you off the phone and just tell you to order online. The only person with a nice happy face is the lady that hands you your food. Thank God for her or they would be out of business. I am definetly done giving them chances. 3 times in a row crappy food and service. Dont give them your money here . Too expensive for bland food. Go to happy teriyaki in bremerton or joys teriyaki. Much better prices and flavorful food. This place will disappoint you. Im done with this place.

My hubby found this place when we were looking for something to eat on the way to lavender farms. This is probably the only food located in a gas station that I won't complain about eating. Amazing and fresh Hawaiian food. Staff is also friendly and will happily explain the menu. This place is take-out only. The best things here are: * Mochiko chicken - This is fried chicken that uses Mochiko flour for the breading, which is a glutinous rice flour. * Kalua pork - some of the best I've ever had * Katsu curry - The sauce, rice, and katsu were perfect These were okay: * Fried rice had great flavor but was a little too on the side of sticky rice for me. * Spam musubi was okay but both spam and rice were a little overcooked. These are also in a case so maybe it was just sitting around too long. I usually find this as a common thing for pre-made spam musubi.

Waited TOO LONG to check out this place that was recommended to us by a friend!!! The reason we took so long is this is a takeout only. The place is located inside this gas station. It was clean and friendly. The food was excellent! The prices have gone up since the menu I saw here on yelp but they loaded me up on food so I wasn't complaining. My favorite of the two dishes was the Mochiko sliders. Very juicy, crunchy and flavorful. I also enjoyed the more savory Mac salad. I prefer more savory to the really sweet way it's typically made.

My husband and I came here for lunch. He had unko's kitchen before and raved about how good the chicken katsu was. Looking at the Yelp reviews listening to my husband's hype, I was really excited. Unfortunately expectations were too high. The chicken katsu was phenomenal but the sauce was extremely sour. It was like I was dipping my chicken in a peppery sinigang. The macaroni salad was okay but I was overwhelmed with the amount of pepper that was in it. Overall the chicken and rice was good but the sauce and Mac salad was disappointing. Even my husband was disappointed and how my plate was not the quality that he had received before:/ Service is good. Was served in a timely matter considering there was a little line. Food was hot when we received it. Price is fair considering the portion. The environment is welcoming. Very small and no seating. Overall 3/5.

    Meat juhn

No chance em, RUSH EM! 442 all da way! Unlike a rude 2 star comment, neva mind this place is in a gas station... Its not about location, its about the product. And Unko here get da good stuff! 4 stars strictly for the pricing. Its not him, its me, $16-20 is a lot compared to back home, but it is the going rate here in da PNW... We ate everything here, our go to's are in order: Meat juhn, Loco moco, Chix katsu, Teri beef.... Hands down, da best Meat juhn in Kitsap. Only other places are Suzys (Waaaay to expensive) and Seoul BBQ in Silverdale (not enough meat juhn for da price) Both places are over $20. Unkos, $18 with a decent amount of meat (Not thin like Soon's in Salt Lake IYKYK nor thick like the 2 previously mentioned... But jus right!), bed rice and decent size Mac... oh, and a "vinegary" shoyu sauce. Loco moco... Perfect for the "Day after" aka Hangover or jus because... no premade burgers here, all fresh made kine, Jus wish had more gravy... No biggie. Chix katsu... Best in Kitsap, not like some of these "Teriyaki" places where dez fakas dat make paper thin katsu... with chicken breast to top it off. Unkos is legit and filling. Sauce is iffy depends on who makes it, but still winnahs, improvise, adapt and overcome. Only place that beats here is L&L... Teri beef.... NOT beef teriyaki you dummys.... He does it Island style and da buggah legit... Once again... not like dez "Teriyaki" places that fry their meat and drown it with an obscene amount of Kikkoman Teriyaki sauce... Unkos does it right. Everything else here is decent at worst... If the pricing was less, we'd eat here at least weekly. But for what it is, we go at least monthly.

Chicken katsu with curry! This is after we already started, demolishing it !!

Not to soft or chewy. The Bun Bo Hue was delicious and very flavorful. The broth could be a little more spider but it was still delicious with the different cuts of meat and udon noodles. The Saigon Wings were really delicious and crispy. The right amount of fish sauce on them. The server was very nice to us and had a great experience here. They also had tables and chairs for people to sit outside but it was kind of raining the time I went so I want. Able to sit outside but good to know they have outside seating. The latte was so smooth and well balanced flavors, absolutely the best latte I have had in long time. Then I tried the donuts and they were very good. I haven't eaten donuts from bakeries near and far but never had Mochi variety. They are made using rice flour that gives the donut an elastic characteristic and chewy but very good. I had three different flavors - strawberry, raspberry, and chocolate. While I still would say I am a cake donut lover, I would always be willing to eat one of these mochi flavors. You definitely should consider stopping in at M&T.
