I stopped by on Tuesday afternoon for a consultation. My appointment was at 4:30 and I arrived 5…read moreminutes prior which is late. Upon arrival no greeting as front desk was vacant for some time. Once she returned we were greeted and given ipad to complete registration. She gave a nice genuine smile as she returned my ID card. I was called back by Maddie for my consultation. It feels like 'canned' sales pitch with standard packages of procedures and fees. The best part is everything is in one place which is great. The preop, surgery, postop and followup visits in one spot. The office is nice and the pitch is smooth. Deposit paid gets the surgery date, minimal downtime and easy recovery. There doesn't appear to be any long term followups after the normal 3, 6, 9 then 12 month postop visits. Compression garments, visits and surgery is all included. Overall nice well thoughtout process. I will post my experience for sure!

First of all, I didn't have the procedure done. When I first went in for an evaluation, I was told…read moreit was going to be $12,600 to get what I wanted done. You have to sign a bunch of paperwork saying you will not back out of the procedure. So I signed the paperwork and paid the entire amount out of pocket PLUS a nonrefundable fee for fat disposal. When I went in for my preop evaluation with the doctor, she then told me that I needed $4,700 more to do other things that originally were not part of the $12,600 quoted on the initial assessment!!! I was mad!! I was willing to pay $12,600, but no more. They should have quoted me one price from the very beginning instead of tacking on more charges just prior to surgery!! Fortunately enough for me, my personal doctor did not approve the surgery and I was able to get my $12,600 back!! Of course, I didn't get the nonrefundable fat disposal fee back, which I think was like $85. I would not trust them because they were dishonest from the beginning. However, everyone was nice, but I don't like how they conduct business.

We will probably be switching to a regular doctor soon because my son is aging out of pediatric…read morecare. We've been with Laurelwood since his birth and he is now 16. Over the years, I have had up and down experiences with Laurelwood. Here are my pros and cons: PROS: Friendly staff Great nurses Docs come highly recommended CONS: Our doctor is lovely but I feel like she's given me very limited options over the years to treat my sons autism and severe ADHD. Talking to other mothers, I felt like there were other options but when I brought them up, she always suggested staying the route. She referred us to a psychiatrist once but that was not a good experience. I once asked her if we could consult with another doctor in the practice because I had seen several articles he and others had written about his expertise with autistic kids. She took offense to my question and said she was the "autism expert" at Laurelwood. I did not like that and considered it to be very unprofessional. If your child is well and has no disabilities, I could see why you think this practice is perfect. However, if your child is sick on a regular basis or has disabilities, I would suggest finding a pediatrician who is open to trying everything possible to help your child.

I can't recommend Dr. Yanishevski. We had her once when we came in as a walk in and the experience…read morewasn't great. We usually see Dr. Siegel and he has been great.
