I moved in 2 weeks before…read morethe next rent check was to be due thinking that the full amount I had paid to live at UV Mills for half the time (paid for a whole month, lived there 2 weeks) was my deposit. My apartment was broken into and UV Mills said 'too bad.' No further security measures were taken to keep it from happening again. When I moved out, I was told that I did not pay a security deposit and refused a refund. Later my roommates and I were sent a bill for a new living room carpet that had cigarrette burns. None of us smoked AND the cigarette burns were under where our couch had sat the entire year we lived there. UV Mills also was bought out by an even bigger business during the middle of my lease. It is my recommendation that you find somewhere else to live because these people will try and screw you over any way they can. Also, if you try and review them on their social media sites you will be barred. Most college apartment complex landlords in CF are bad, it's just like finding which one is the least bad. Rated 0/10 Plus the windows are super drafty and the walls paper thin.

Apartment is slightly dated and horrible floor plan that is not open and welcoming at all. Really bad maintenance workers that wait for weeks at a time to fix something. Ex. Kitchen drawer came apart middle of December, called to have it fixed, it is still sitting detached and broken today, Feb 22nd.

There is no upkeep done to the units/buildings whatsoever and definitely no cleaning done between tenants, besides that done by tenants - and if you're cleaning isn't to par, be prepared to have your deposit gouged before getting it back. There was years of water damage in my bathroom. Upon moving in, there's was a 1" coating of grease in my oven. A friend of mine had mold growing in her bathroom and had to fight to have something done about it - which nothing ever happened. They don't clean walls before painting, just paint over what's on the wall - tape, hair, bugs, you name it. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing, and they can hear you. Snow removal sucks - our building had ice covering the sidewalk for 3 days before I requested for someone to put salt down. The staff is very rude. Maintenance left shards sitting on my countertop with my new kitten running around the apartment. Random people come and park in the back lot to smoke weed and cause a disturbance at night. And good luck getting ahold of emergency maintenance. My list could go on for the reasons not to live here. The only thing they've got going for them is price and location to campus - but I guess you get what you pay for.

We also called about the water being brown in our bathroom now and then and he said that because we were the last apartment to get water that it would do that once and a while. Um, no, there is no excuse for our water to be brown. Also the guy who does the maintenance does not have courtesy for privacy. He just walks into the apartment without knocking, and even when he does knock he only knocks once and just walks in anyway. When I called the landlord to complain about the maintenance, she told me there was nohting she could do, that he was the only one who works on the building. If he says there is nothing he can do, then she cant either. Again, the apartments themselves are nice but the way they take care of maintenance makes me want to move out.
