It is unusual that I will blindly hire a contractor without word of mouth recommendations, research, and having passed a series of questions to verify how a job is being performed and material used meet my expectations and code. However, after watched a few of this company's crews work on other homes around me, after a few quick questions, and a bid on my home which I knew from prior experience with past homes and my knowledge of construction which was not only fair, but a very good deal, I accepted their bid to re-roof my home since my home's roof is at 22 years in a very hot & dry climate which can decrease the life of a paper expected to last 25-30 years in a normal climate which is not Phoenix. The crew assigned to re-roof my home were very professional, polite, clean, efficient, and did what appears to be a very complete job with securing each tile, capping tiles with mortar at places they needed to be, replacing of vents where needed and painted them to match previous vents/tiles, and did a very complete clean-up so one could not even tell they were there. The one thing that I did not witness were replacement of wood fascia boards, and roof plywood sheathing. But those are only replaced if there is dry-rot, or damaged from various reasons. I was told my house did not need either replaced although a few other community homes did. My only negative comment (note to company) was that I was given the impression that the work would start at or around 8:00am. One morning I heard footsteps as early as 7:15 which woke me up and may have been earlier than allowed. The rest of the job around 7:30 am. Side comment on permits which I will usually have pulled on certain jobs: The City of Chandler does not require a permit for re-roofing using the same or more insulating materials than the original roof without increasing structural loads. Overall, I was both impressed with T Johnston & H Johnston and am happy I allowed them to accomplish my re-roofing prior to at some point ending up with ceiling damage from weather. I highly recommend T Johnston & H Johnston for your re-roofing/roofing repair needs.

Henry was called in to assess the roofs of our entire community offering a second opinion because we had the roofs inspected previously. Henry is honest, hardworking and extremely knowledgeable about roofing and operates his business in an ethical way. In my experience working with many different people in the trades I have rarely come across an individual with the combination of passion for their trade, knowledge of their trade while also being a genuinely good person. The president of our HOA and our entire community will benefit because of Henry's assessment and recommendation's for servicing and maintaining the roofs within our Community. If you have a roofing issue or simply would like an assessment of your roof I would highly recommend Henry, The Arizona Roofer! You will not be disappointed.

He did a thorough inspection of the roof and actually took me up there with him to point out areas of concern. Jordan was extra communicative, and even helped to walk me through the insurance experience when filing for roof damage due to wind (did not end up going through insurance). When it came time for the repair, he gave an initial quote that I thought was fair and actually lowered it when the invoice came due.
