Hopping on the trend, I did the cat eye design for my manicure. I didnt want any fancy lotion or massages so went with the basic manicure and pedicure. I believe the extra hot oil, massage, and all is $15. The chairs were nice and comfy with your own remote to control the settings. Katie did my pedicure and was so kind. She doesnt know too much English but was able to use a translator on her phone. I didnt get the name of the person who did my nails but they were kind. I provided her with my design inspiration and she executed it wonderfully. The place is clean and located in a developing asian shopping plaza. Plenty of parking. I would highly recommend this place. I love that they were receptive to my inquiry and ideas. Helpful for a somewhat inexperienced nail salon girlie. They were not pushy at all! I was always hesitant of going to nail salons bc they would always try to upsell or force you into doing more. Not here. Whatever I asked for, they delivered. I also only wanted to file my nails and keep my natural nail length as much as possible. I had jusy chipped one of my nails and she was able to file it beautifully so shape it to be less noticeable. I will definitely be back for the peace and no-pushy vibes. They took their time and really value their work. My mani and pedi session did take 2.25 hrs.

They are using the same pricing paper, but have scratched out the old price. I have been going here for over a year. I was not notified prior to my service after going there for over a year that price is increased. I tried to reason with the Lady, but unfortunately, she did not seem to understand that what she was doing is illegal. Make sure you ask and check the prices prior to getting any service. They offer a service to let customers pay $1000 upfront to receive 20% off and then they will increase the price by 20%. Bait and switch - completely illegal and unethical! As a walk-in, was told wait 10-15 mins, but then had to wait well over 30 minutes with no apology; negative interaction with techs--both these things were very different from all my previous appointments. I found other nail places during these last 15 years. The last place I went to for over 3 years but management changed recently and it was not the same. i went back to Van's nail place on Dec. 17th to try it again. I decided to get only a manicure and see how it went. I could NOT have been happier. Tuan did my manicure and it was not only a very good one, but he was delightful. So, I returned yesterday (12/22/23) for pedi, brow, chin, lip, underarm wax and a brow dye. Walked in and told Van what I needed and she was very honest about the wait time (30-40 mins.), so I ran an errand and came back and she worked w/ her scheduled appts. and Lee's as well in a very efficient manner to assure her scheduled customers did not have to wait and also where I did not have to wait. Van did my waxing and dye and Lee did my pedicure. Very, very pleased! I feel this will now be "my place" (again)!! I get manis every 10-14 days, pedis every month, brow dye once a month, and waxing as needed so I will have a lot opportunities to see if everything remains outstanding and excellent as it was these recent visits! My husband enjoys getting me gift cards to my nail place and since I have been "trying out" new places, he has been unable to do so. NOW, he can come to Van's and get them (and it is right next door to where he gets his hair cuts!!). The pricing for all services are very reasonable. Lastly, it was comforting to see Van was still the owner as well as seeing other employees who were there 15/16 years ago! I did not recall Tuan from when I was there 15/16 years ago, but I am very happy he is there! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
